Time-lapse of growing tomatillo from seed to plant. It was growing strong and start blooming around 30th day onward. The chosen tomatillo variety is not self-pollination and requires cross-pollination in order to bear fruits. At least two or more plants in the same crowd are needed for natural pollination.

You didn’t pollinate any?

Tomatillos require cross-pollination. I planted only one, so I could not pollinate the flowers. I did try self-pollination some, but it didn't work. I will start growing few of them soon 😉

@@eLapseTime why do they need cross pollination? My plant has a pistil and a stamen but I’m always in question on why they would need another plant’s pollen to pollinate

My seeds have been sitting in situ for about 18 days, seeds are looking swollen but nothing else happened so far. I am so close to giving up. Same happened to my aubergine seeds from same supplier. Ordered some more from elsewhere. If I fail with those too, then I know its me. I just cannot figure out 0% germination. I feel insulted by those seeds😂. Any constructive input would be great, please don't mention the top basics like pre soak, moisture amount, air temp, light, pre germinating on paper towel. I have gone thorough all of them. Also, all my other seeds are developing plants or in rooting stage in pots by now so I do pay attention to their individual needs. What is wrong then? I paid for 10 "Premium " seeds. Lol.
