Wishing all my subscribers and viewers an advanced HAPPY NEW YEAR! Thanks for watching my videos over the years (this year was my 10TH ANNIVERSARY on youtube). Thanks to everyone who leave me messages and of course my regular viewers who always leave me a message. I do read them all and I try to reply to all of you, it just takes me a little time to get through them all!
WARNING:
Please do not enter motor rooms - it would be very irresponsible of me to show you stuff like this on my channel without a warning. RU-vid is a public platform, so enjoy viewing but please don't copy.
THIS VIDEO:
This is what my channel is all about - If "I" don't find it interesting then it doesn't get uploaded. I've been sitting on some of this footage for a year before finally going back and get the footage that I required!
Welcome to another video from mrmattandmrchay - The GGGROWLING LIFTCRAN LIFTS!
Notice the "01" for London phone number at the end of the video? This dates these lifts from the 1980s.
Some history for you...
##########
*6th MAY 1990 - NEW LONDON TELEPHONE CODES
Inner London codes were changed from 01 to 071 and outer London codes were changed from 01 to 081. This was the biggest change to the London telephone numbering scheme since All Figure Dialling was introduced back in 1966. This was the first of the changes to free up more telephone numbers to meet increased demand.
*22 November 1994 - Caller Display Introduced
*22 April 2000 - The Big Number
The third main change of telephone codes saw the introduction of an extra 7 in mobile numbers as well as new codes for several cities. London codes were changed from 0171/0181 to 0207/0208.

The growling Italian liftcran lifts are now finally sadly fully replaced with Jackson lifts the liftcran lifts was was awesome but it's sad to see them now gone since maybe the 80s or 90s. ☹️ 😭

I’m surprised and proud at the same time to find an old Italian manufactured motor there.

This lift doesn't look right at all. It barely manages to start downwards. When going up, it doesn't manage to slow down to the leveling speed before the brake is applied.

Liftcran installed some brilliant lifts. Their estate lifts are brilliant. They are a pleasure to work on as well.

Ah this Italian brand of lift. There are a couple of installations in my country but most are hydraulic. I haven't been into a motor room for a traction unit, and now I know what it resembles, great video!

The loudest elevator I’ve ever heard

That lift motor reminds me of the motor used in an older lift (Indolift, a local brand which no longer exist) that I saw in my hometown a few years ago. It looks a bit similar like in this video. Semag is an Italian company in case you're wondering.

Now that's where they sampled the elevator sound for Skyrim from.

that growl as the motor starts up reminds me quite a bit of some 1990 OTIS Europa 2000s which are pretty much not maintained nowadays by the shopping centre that owns the car park in which they are located

It sounds like an old crane controller from a 1950/60's factory! Can't remember the makes (Street, P&H???)

Guessing by the age of this Lift, the Controller is probably made by Thames Valley Controls (TVC), and its the two speed model. It could also be a custom one from Liftcran, but many generic Lift Companies were using TVCs at that time.

The amount of editing and dedication to your passion is worth more than a like! Why can't RU-vid make a love button to love peoples beautiful videos? We really need to chase them up about M&S though :/

That motor sounds awesome going down but it sounds angry and clunky going up!
