@@HerfordCityBeats Yeah I think Red was pretty deliberate with the information he was giving, and Purple fell for it. Red played everyone else off one another, then farmed the entire bottom portion of the map.

Honestly I think Red deliberately played Purple, and hard. When Purple kept attacking and thinking Red was going to help, and Red didn't, Red was really waiting for them to kill one another while mining out the entire bottom of the map. Mine everything, then go to 100 supply, then mop up the survivor.

keep in mind that everyone is playing with incomplete information. And there's no reason for them to believe whatever information you're telling, and neither do you theirs. Not to mention they can recognize that you're much more skilled than themselves, and anyone in their position would rather eliminate the stronger competition to go 1v1 against a less skilled competitor

At 51:00 if you killed a peon and went to "no upkeep" and had 4 peons mining gold, you would actually be mining at a faster rate. You'd also have more gold mined due to the efficiency losses of "low upkeep"

It's really interesting watching a pro player like Grubby tackling the FFA nastiness. Politics, manipulation, bluffing, etc. I understand that there is a unique intelectual flavor to these FFA elements, but I too rather detest them. I'd prefer a no chatting version too. Part of what's interesting to me is that in a way it represents the contrast between people who ascend through social engineering and manipulation rather than pure objective merit, vs those who try stick to the latter. It's a game everyone is forced to play in our society.

You had the highest hero level, it makes sense to team on the strongest. They didn’t if you have savings, and your position is to be teamed.

as a ffa player: teaming is in both their interests for a while in this game as you are so strong neither of them can take you out alone. However, over time, the teams should change, when you no longer have a mine for instance. Hence you should scout and share in chat who has how many expoes so ppl attack the right person.

strong tc = strong endurance aura = better army. on ffa people dont creep jack as often as 1v1. so I guess TC endurance 1st can be played.

FFA tends to have a lot of hero focus. So, TC being tanky + reincarnation makes him great for survivability. Endurance aura is good because you need to disengage/chase people a lot or hit and run. Stomp is great because stunning heroes for several seconds can allow you to kill them before they TP. Even shockwave can be useful against tower massers.
