Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever (referred to onscreen as Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever! The Movie) is a 2014 made-for-television Christmas comedy film directed by Tim Hill, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Jeff Morris. The film stars Internet celebrity cat Tardar Sauce, also known as "Grumpy Cat", and Megan Charpentier as a young girl who befriends and later adopts Grumpy Cat, only to discover that the two can communicate with one another.

Throw It In: Aubrey Plaza, the voice of Grumpy Cat, said that when she was brought in to record, most of Grumpy's dialogue wasn't written or finalized yet, and she was asked to just make up her own lines for Grumpy. Plaza spent most of the recording sessions watching the live action footage and riffing on whatever action she saw. She even went far as saying the recording sessions were "like my own MST3K".

I read somewhere that Jane Lynch was originally set to voice Grumpy Cat before Aubrey Plaza got it. Jane’s older and is known for playing cynical grouchy characters so she might’ve been the better choice (Aubrey’s still great despite this role though)

That was some of the best meta comedy I've seen in a long time. It's one thing for Deadpool to acknowledge real, tropes and behind the scenes, but you literally broke the video with how powerful meta commentary is. I've never seen someone literally write themselves into a corner with how self aware they are. Brad really sold those four seconds of screen time and gave me a belly laugh.

This movie was filmed just a few minutes away from me. It holds a weird sentimental place in my heart and gives me a chuckle when I see how they have adjusted the mall (and the parking lot) ever so slightly (in the month of October) to fit the movie. And to see fellow CDN Russel Peters as Santa was just surreal. Thanks for reviewing this!

Tardar Sauce lived in Arizona, and I saw her “throw” the first pitch at a Diamondbacks game. They mentioned it was going to happen when my parents bought the tickets, but I wasn’t sure what to expect. I thought maybe it was going to be a costumed mascot version of her, or they were going to press her paw on a pitching machine. Nope. They carried the actual cat (wearing a custom jersey) out onto the mound, pointed her towards home plate, pressed her left paw on the ball (the announcer made a south paw joke), and then one of her handlers threw it. She was pretty chill about it. If it were one of my cats, I can guarantee that all of that noise and that many people would them freak out and they’d run off to hide under the dugout bench.

You know, out of all of your big speeches Christmas Specials, I have to say: I liked this one the best. No big speech. I really liked this review and I think there’s something deeper here… You can’t be happy if you’re meta all the time. Finally, after all these years, there's a brief mention of the three other RU-vidrs I started watching about half my life ago, around the same time I started watching Doug's videos- Rhett, Link, and Ray William Johnson. Even if it's just via (hella old) photos, I'll take it. Now we just need some cameos from those three and the teen in me can rest happy. (I know it'll never happen. Or maybe it will, you never know. lol) Either way, happy to be watching for so long- and looking forward to what Doug and the crew have planned for the 15th anniversary next year. Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas is one of the most hilarious Christmas movies i ever watched...well as far as Christmas films with talking animals go anyway, but it's still a good movie!

I don’t know why but I really liked this message idk if it’s the fact that he just conveys it with cat meow. Idk if it’s just cause my that was 18 passed last week but that ending really hit home I was just flooded with memories of sitting at my pc playing games till the early morning and cat would let out a couple meows to let me know if she wanted ,me to pay attention to her. Nellie you were a great cat R.I.P

Audrey Plaza is still incredibly awsome. I remember my 11 year old was laughing her head off at this. I was half asleep. But Grumpy Cat was a fun for the kids... I think? 😁

Appreciating something as small as petting the cat was a good message itself. Reminded me of my little buddy, Scar. He was a rescue from outside my apartment and was the absolute sweetest animal I have ever had in my life. Sadly, after 6 months of us trying to fight an illness, it eventually took him this year on Aug 30. I miss him greatly. But I am still so proud to have saved him off the streets and have him in my life for that year he was with me.

Ok. That line about her stupidly thinking George was her friend and that cut to George yelling ''Nope, never was." was a legit funny ass joke. This movie would have done much better if it had been more mean spirited in that fashion.
