I swear, you could make a feature-length film by just giving Burgess Meredith a situation and telling him to come up with as many dirty euphemisms as possible.
when i'm in a bad mood i watch this...lemmon, matthau and meredith, your talent will never be forgotten, what a bunch, the absolute best of acting, something we can truly call artistic..
Look at these two laughing at 2:20. Priceless! Also loved that part when Lemmon says "Get another actor, please". These actors are still the best to me.
When I saw this in the theater, I laughed so hard I was crying. I couldn't stop laughing for 15 minutes. I think this is the funniest end credits ever done.
Burgess Meredith was a once in a lifetime actor. From Mick(the trainer)in Rocky, the Penguin in the tv series Batman, Ernie Pyle in The story of G.I. Joe. He was a Captain in the United States Army Air Force during WWII. Not just an actor but, a hero.
"Get another actor...please!" Heaven has all the great ones now. Never again will we see such a rich crop of truly great actors & actresses. Boney macaroni, they were fun to see!
I've only seen three Walter Matthau movies in my entire life and they were all classics: 'Grumpy Old Men', 'Grumpier Old Men', and 'Dennis the Menace'. You can't beat 'em.
You just can't watch these outtakes from these two hilarious films without çracking a smile! Watching Jack Lemmon, Walter Matthau, and Burgess Meredith together is box office magic! I too hope that all three of these gentlemen are all resting peacefully. Thanks for the cinematic memories gents. ♥️🙏👍
1:07 - Bust my tookus to get here on New Years Eve…or Christmas or whatever the f**k it is. 3:10 - Hey d*ckhead! I’m stuck! LOL Walter Matthau was a riot.
I use to enjoy watching this with my family when I was younger. They're pretty much all dead now so this brings back some good memories. Jack, Walter, and Burgess were great and it's a shame they're all gone and I was only able to enjoy them at the twilight of their careers.
Thank you for this video! "Grumpy Old Men" is a very special movie for me because that's when I fell in love with Matthau and Lemmon acting together. I was only 14 when I saw it in the movies here in Brazil. Say whatever you want, but those were the days when real comedy was made and when "Grumpier Old Men" came out I decided I should start my own Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau private movie collection. "The Odd Couple", "Buddy Buddy", "The Fortune Cookie" all prove that real friendship could be brought to the movie industry and the fact that they were both interred side by side also prove that they took this relationship to the end of their lives. 14-year-old kids nowadays laugh at "Jackass" and "South Park". Innocence lost indefinitely...
conure58 Thanks for replying, uploader! Is it really cold there as people say? Call me crazy, but I'm a HUGE fan of cold weather as depicted in Grumpy Old Men.
João Daniel (Sennafan1980) It's not always cold. We do have a Summer here and it can get up to 100*F with lots of humidity. And we also get tornadoes once in a while. Winter does get cold though.. Just like you see in the bloopers..
Just watched both Grumpy Old Men and Grumpier Old Men today for the umpteenth time 😂😂😂 Matthau & Lemmon were brilliant. Burgess Meredith was on his game till the very end. I hope they’re all making God laugh 😆 their movies never get old. Pun intended 👍👍👍
The first film was worth it just for the stinger by Walter Matthau. "If I had known there was going to be a _nude_ scene in this picture, I would've asked for another million."
A funny bit that somehow didn't get included: From the first film, with mattheau sitting in the bath tub: "If i knew there was a nude scene i would have asked for another million"
Favourite bloopers: “Looks like chucks going to enter the holy of Holies coitus uninterruptus” “ I’m the gangster of love I am the lethario of farts” “I can’t I farted I’m afraid to move” “Hey dickhead I’m stuck” “Looks like chucks a tomcat on the prowl meow” “Bust my tuchus to get down here on New Year’s Eve or Christmas or whatever the $&@! It is” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Couldn’t resist a second thought these three gentlemen were 3 of the finest actors of their time. I know that’s a bold statement but look at the body of each one’s work. The 3 could do it all. Drama, comedy whatever else was left to perfection. I love Jack Lemmon! Watch him if you can with Peter Falk in The Great Race as Professor Fate! Genius comedy from Lemmon and Falk! As a side note Natalie Wood is delicious in this film all through especially in the pie fight scene what a beautiful lady! My most fond memory of Jack Lemmon besides his acting was what he wanted on his gravestone. I’m In!
Another favourite blooper forgot to add; “I’ve been to Hawaii Which island? I kindalikapokeyou Youlikealickydicky Imakindakinky Wannapeekapeepee” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It's hard to believe Burgess Meredith was suffering from Alzheimer's disease when they filmed the second one; it's said he had to be gently coached through his role in the film. But clearly there was still flashes of brilliance there.
I remember growing watching both of these 2 movies. I either had the VHS or DVDs, I forget. I must've been 8 years old when the first movie was released. I'm 35 now. I'll definitely have to revisit these soon
