This isn’t a Mel Books movie, but Brooks’ tribute to Dom when he passed was to say that Deluise "created so much joy and laughter on the set that you couldn’t get your work done. So every time I made a movie with Dom, I would plan another two days on the schedule just for laughter. It's a sad day. It's hard to think of this life and this world without him."
The amount of fun Burt and Dom had together is unmatched by today’s standards. Every single actor in Hollywood today could learn a few things just by watching this little video
I had the opportunity to meet Dom DeLuise & Burt Reynolds when they stopped at the store where I worked to get gas while on their way to the Flat Rock Playhouse, where they were guest starring in a play. They insisted that I call them by their first names & asked if I wanted autographs. They even posed for pictures with me, then both shook my hand before they left. Two very nice guys right there, total class acts...
Exactly !!! It took a very special talented comedian to make one start laughing before they even said a word and Deluise was surely one them along with Robin Williams , Jonathan Winters, Michael Richards ( Kramer) and Art Carney, Red Skelton and Richard Pryor.
Cannonball Run II, the end of the line for the car pictures. 7 movies in 7 years, starting with Smokey & the Bandit in '77, ending in '84 with this one. Must've been one hell of a fun time.............
@@andrewcolsen ?? Yes, Cannonball I was from '81, but part 2 was 1984 which was also shown here. This says parts one AND two bloopers and outtakes, i said "ending in '84 with this one" (meaning part 2). And i guess it was 8 years if you count '77.
I miss levity in movies today. All it feels like we have is massive action scenes and wall to wall CGI with a score telling us when we HAVE to feel things. It’s boring and exhausting. I watch these outtakes whenever I have a bad day and need to feel their pure joy! Absolutely adore these! 😄
@@gmughadam76 Shirley MacLaine is still alive and still making movies, she's not in the best of them and she's 87 years old, but she's still here. This is back when they weren't pumping out movies like they had them in a factory on a production line.
@Eddy Teddy actually Cannonball Run II came out in '84 and Cannonball Run came out in '81. My dad recorded both of them off of HBO and my brother and I probably watched either of them every single day when we were kids.
Growing up in the 80's with this type of enterainment then we had Eddie Murphy, John Hughes movies, Duran Duran - Tears for Fears - Til Tuesday - Billy Idol - Billy Joel - Birth of Hip Hop - National Lampoons Vacation - MTV - Married w/Children...Man the Fn 80's was Fn awsome.
Ive watched these bloopers from Cannonball Run and 2 many times over the years and never get tired of them. If your feeling low then put these on. Instantly lifts u up 😀👍😂
A true feel good movie, with lots of laughs. RIP to everyone who starred in this movie who made it such a joy to watch and gave us many happy memories.
Every single time I hear Dom laughing it makes me laugh instantly lol.. Dom's laugh is both adorable and really infectious!. 😂😂 Thanks so much for sharing this!. 🙏🍻
Let's not forget the unforgettable entrance of the immaculate Lamborghini Countach LP500S which forever cemented it as the greatest exotic car of all time.
Sammy Juniors face and grin watching that bleads section is fantastic the whole bleads scene is beyond hilarious the fact dean martin went with it is outrageous and wonderful.
fanatamon A lot of people today are probably not aware that Dean was well known to have a wonderful sense of humour, and many of his friends and people he worked with often said that, though he was usually fairly quiet and laid-back, he was also one of the funniest men they ever knew, and would often come out with a wisecrack that would break everyone up!😂
Burt and dom what a team they make me laugh so hard love these out takes so sadly missed but never forgotten the movies made in the 80s have to be the best
I remember watching this and other comedies with Burt and Dom, they were always so funny. Everyone would stay in their seat because these gag reels were played after the credits. We really got our money's worth. RIP to all of the people in these movies, you gave us laughter. Thank you.
What a fantastic feel good film this is! All the actors seem to be having the time of their lives. We will never see this kind of ensemble again. Please Hollywood don’t reboot these movies!
Imagine having to direct the cast, produce a film and make a movie whilst having a party with the likes of these celebrated folk?! How incredibly talented these production crews are, challenging conditions eh?!
I remember watching these with my dad in the theatre. I remember us laughing together so much. Thank you Burt and Don for allowing us to enjoy these moments.
Love this movie and it makes it even more special they had fun filming this. Heartbreaking that nearly all of them have passed on but they left an icon of a movie for us remaining.
Burt wa always my favorite. The epitomy of cool & he always was a gentleman. Never be another like him. Rest in peace, Burt, Dom DeLuise, Sammy Davis Jr. Dean Martin, Hal Needham, Burt Convy, Farrah Fawcett, Roger Moore & Jack Elam.
Since now a days all you have to do is film yourself taking a dump to become a Celebrity, every Movie and TV Show has a "Star" on them. There will never be more Movies like this.
Check out "It's a mad mad mad mad world" made in 63. It also had a lot of talented stars. Peter Falk was in it too. Pre- Columbo days. Ironically his first scene is him saying all the cops in that town were crazy.
Close I'm sure. But how about: Towering Inferno: Steve McQueen, Paul Newman, William Holden, Faye Dunaway, Fred Astaire, Jennifer Jones, Robert Wagner, Richard Chamberlain, Susan Blakeley, Robert Vaughn, ..
Growing up in the 80's watching this in my sister's room (her tv had cable) makes me tear up - Great times, MTV was playing awesome 80's videos, John Hughes, Chevy Chase, John Candy, birth of Hip Hop, fantastic cartoons...only one HBO...man.
<a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="185">3:05</a> Dom DeLuise childlike pleading "Mr Martin laughed first" as everyone cracks up and then he hugs Burt. Always my favorite part, sweet, hysterical and now unfortunately it makes me so sad
Its amazingly short the time we spend on this earth...seems like only a few years ago we were enjoying all these great actors....all have passed on....
You've got the 'Tube in trumpet heaven Maynard? I saw you here in Sydney many years ago and never thought I'd get the chance to say thank you. Thank you! :-)
@@deldridg lol....you are the FIRST person to recognize that name!! My goodness back in the 70s all my buddies and I were in the HS jazz band...all the trumpet players were trying their hardest to be the next Ferguson....they were damn good players as well...a couple of all-state players....me. I played trombone and marched with the Phantom Regiment Drum Corps. ..great times!!
I dont know how or why it happened but the old hollywood got bulldozed away and buried the crap that's out now is not the same nor comes close to what we grew up with when you watch these bloopers seeing them all crack up you know it wasnt phony fake humor it was real
How they ever got enough to film is amazing.... I laughed all the way through. Dom deluise played any character ... He was non stop funny.... I miss these days... many of the actors I grew up with are now gone.. just reminds me that my time is nearing.
Proper comedy, and how it should be Had me in tears. RIP to all those who are no longer with us. The good ones seem to be disappearing at an alarming rate. It's such a shame. Seems strange that I laugh more at it now, than when I grew up with it.
<a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="131">2:11</a> I love how Dom DeLouise got Jack Elam to bust out laughing. Jack Elam was a very experienced old time movie actor and it was very difficult to get him to break a scene.
These are the absolute best! I love how Dom Deluise says "Mr. Martin laughed first." In a picture full of legends & Mr. Deluise still called him Mr. Martin. One word: respect!
OK, it's 2023, but that was very funny stuff. Talented actors and real people as well. Burt was a great actor and Dom was a very, very funny man. They had fun! It's was allowed.
RIP Roger Moore, Burt Reynolds, Dom DeLuise, Mel Tillis, Jack Elam, Molly Picon, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis jr, Hal Needham, Farrah Fawcett, Peter Fonda, Richard Kiel, Frank Sinatra, Telly Savalas, Foster Brooks, Charles Nelson Reilly, Jim Nabors George Furth, Burt Convy, Jimmy The Greek Snyder, Sid Ceasar, Alex Rocco, Abe Vigoda, Tim Conway, Don Knotts, Ricardo Montalban, Michael V. Gazzo, Rick Aviles, Doug McClure, Dub Taylor, Jilly Rizzo, George Lindsey, and Arte Johnson. May God hold them forever in his heart ❤️
I have a friend who back in the day had a laugh like Dom. Every one that was around him would laugh so hard at his laugh that our stomach and jaws would get sore from laughing so much. Damn, such great times.🤣🤣🤣
