Love hearing about you and Jon. My partner and I have been together since we were 17; we’re 28 now and only just in the last 2-3 years have felt like the best versions of ourselves for each other. Once you reach that summit you look at the other person in a whole new light like, luckier than a lightning strike to have them at this moment in time and space 🥲 So special.

I was in an 8.8 earthquake in 2010 and I realized like a year later I probably had PTSD from it too. Even when you’re “okay” after an earthquake, people don’t realize what it’s like to have to deal with the aftershocks too and feel like you can’t trust your senses.

Wow, to me, the embryo freezing process is more of a commitment than marriage 🤣 I didn’t get married until I was 38, and in retrospect I still think that was too young hahaha. I love your chatty, personal videos the most. I’m so sorry you had to go through something so scary. It was really beautiful hearing the reflections though about Jon and your relationship. I was diagnosed with PTSD also because of two extremely painful surgeries I had. Chiari Malformation Decompression surgery and spinal fusion for scoliosis surgery which I was never told it is the most painful surgery ever !!! I had three horrible panic attacks just watching Dr. House 😅. What prompted the panic attacks was the beeping of the machines on TV. All this just to tell you that my dreams are about waking up after surgery yelling in pain but in my dreams I see people from my past that I do not understand why? Friends I haven't seen in years. This has been on ongoing issue since 2014 not all night but yes too much !!! I can't imagine what you went through but what I can tell you is that if your love for your husband was a good that came out of a bad experience ... you won!!!!! ❤ love your content always!!! Stay Strong 💪🏻

Wow what a man!! Now that's a real romantic story to hear. I went through a cat 5 hurricane and then an earthquake 😳 many years ago, all this right after a divorce...PTSD is so real.

What a sweet couple moment though... I remember our biggest earthquake back home with my parents and sister. I woke up while my dad was lifting me up from bed and running to take me under a door panel shouting to my mother to fall over me, while he ran again for my sister. He's a big guy, the entire building was shaking just from his footsteps, I had no idea what was going on. Since then I know how they are always there to literally shelter us...

Ive been staying with my parents for a while and i flipped out thinking my cat escaped when i saw the backyard door propped open (he was just hiding in a closet lol), so I can’t imagine my fur baby being gone for nearly 2 hours. And your story about john reminds me of my dad when i experienced my first earthquake and he was like hovering his body over my mom and i. Ugh. The stress!!! Im so sorry you’ve had to experience all of this. But the love we experience in response to everything is what holds us all together isn’t it.

How scary to experience, Kait. What a lovely thing Jon did, though! I honestly don’t know if my significant other would do that for me, in all seriousness, which makes me sad. Sometimes I think we need couples therapy so I’ll give your second channel a follow to support you and see how that goes for you two. We don’t have kids, due to a major illness I have. I highly recommend couples therapy, we’ve been seeing our therapist for years and we can’t imagine our relationship without her. We can handle anything because of what she’s taught us and how we’ve worked to incorporate her teachings. I fully believe every couple should do it, it’s amazing

When out w/ the dog give command; " Let's Go Home" as you near the house. He'll memorize area so he can find his way home. My pomeranian got out the back door and came around the front. 1/8th mile! I'm pretty sure he remembered that command. My friend was in CA in an elevator when an earthquake hit. She takes the stairs now! Thanks for the update, be Blessed ❣️

My dog is a runner so I got him an Apple AirTag collar so I can find him. I have not been in an earthquake, but I have been through A LOT of tornadoes and it’s so scary. Even as an adult they freak me out and I have to force myself to stay calm for my kids. My parents still call me every single time.

This may sound inhumane but you could run a single strand of electric fence very low to the ground along the inside of your fence. It would only take a few times of them touching it to stop digging. A tiny little zap is much better than getting hit by a car or shot by a hunter.

OMG Girl you should try living in Chile, we are so used to earthquakes all the freaking time....some people with a 5-6 or more don´t even care anymore or not even feel them....I still freak out, I can even sense them and wake up before they start cause as usual don´t know why they come in the middle of the night!

Not that simple - he wears one. That's how we know he escapes. But we live in an area so remote, the second he leaves our property there is zero wifi or cell service so the only option we have is buying a super expensive satellite gps collar for hunting dogs. Everything else requires cell or wifi service.
