Hiya, sweetie, good to see you so chatty! I have been hypothyroid for well over 20 years and only in the last five years have I found the answer for me in the weight department. I went ketogenic, then ketovore (mostly animal-based) and lately, almost 100% carnivore, very few carbohydrates. I used to weigh right at 200 lb and was sugar-addicted, but now, I'm down to the same weight I was as a teenager and married my husband. The best two things are that I am rarely ever hungry and even when the scale doesn't move, the body reshapes itself, even without exercise (though I walk miles per day and lift weights). At 67, I take only my thyroid pill, no other medications and have more lean muscle mass than I ever did. My BMI is now about 22 after years of it being about 35. It's just the proper, natural human diet with no seed oils, sugar or grains. Hope you find what works well for you! By the way, my husband is eating that way, too, though he cheats at times with something breaded. He keeps having to pull his belt in another notch, though his back pain is never getting better-his degenerative disc disease is very far advanced and you can't grow disc material back, unfortunately. I love that you live the keto/carnivore lifestyle! I went keto in 2017, lost 50 pounds and got amazing health and brain benefits from this way of eating. A few pounds crept on over the years but I maintained fairly well until the last couple of years. I started eating processed carbs and sugars until all the weight came back so now I'm back to being overweight along with not feeling great. I started back 5 days ago but with more of an emphasis on protein. I guess they're calling that high protein modified fat or ketovore? Not sure which but it's my goal to get back to where I was in 2017 when I felt so wonderful! I'm glad you shared your story! I love reading people's testimonies when their health and weight problems are cured just by eating real food rather than pharmaceuticals!

@@Shell0903 Actually, I eat moderate protein/high fat and it's worked beautifully. Women tend to need much more fat (if it's good animal fat) than they usually consume. Of course, high fat on a high carb way of eating would have the opposite effect. The protein/fat is the way I stay away from the doctor more than once a year to do the thyroid maintenance testing. 💫🤩 Fantastic video Meagan! I want to interject one thing I think you may have forgotten because you were in a haze after your infusion. Since I (Mom 😘) took care of you the first week after your surgery, the weird thing is that whenever you would wake up, you would almost cry about extreme hip pain. Your surgery was on your back but you kept saying your hip was killing you... same leg the webbing started on. That was the CRPS but we didn't know it at the time. Also, we can lose our weight together. I started yesterday and I'm going to lose my 55 pounds this time! And yay, now that you're healing, we're going on some trips together!!! 💖
