Doctor here! The scalp dryness was probably aggravated from the bleach but as the weather gets dry/cold and you wash your face it’s getting cleaned without the moisture being added back. My hair type can handle Shea butter pretty frequently but having an occlusive product on hand to put on daily will help immensely!

Body shop ginger scalp oil hands down.. I had the same problem around the perimeter of my scalp and so did my little girl but hers was in her center parting.. this cleared it up after second application after washing hair days.. and then used if I see a flare up.. I thinks it's to do with the weather change. Buy it now! No greasy I still use it on my girls hair when braiding once a week it lasts ages xx

As someone said before - ginger shampoo from body shop is amazing! I went to the drs for my scalp and they also prescribed me topical stuff too which has helped loads - hope it gets sorted ❤️

I have the same issue. I have dry scalp and dandruff on my hair line, i just put cream on my hair line like Eucerin in the jar or Cerave will help.

I use the Briogeo Scalp Revival Charcoal scalp serum!! Every couple of weeks I generously coat my scalp and then sleep in it. It's worked wonders for me!!

Not sure if this will help you but I went through a phase where my scalp was so dry qnd my hair was falling out !!! Turned out I was low in vitamin D. Started taking 2000 units a day and problem solved! This time of year it could be all you need. Thanks Rach GRWM are my faves 💞💗💖💕🩷❤❤️‍🔥

You should go and see a trichologist for your scalp. They specialise in hair and scalp. If you have sore under the skin spots I swear by zitsticka’s Killa microdots, I’ve tried loads of spot treatments and these always either bring an annoying spot to head or drain one out, honestly so worth the money

I came straight to the comments section for people’s scalp recommendations. Ever since using redken shampoo and conditioner it completely changed my scalp all at the front and sides are so flakey and dry I’ve never had this issue before it’s horrible! Currently trying ouai anti dandruff shampoo with a scalp brush, so far I haven’t seen much of an improvement so sounds like I need to go to the doctor!

regarding the scalp issue, my boyfriend has psoriasis on his scalp which causes dry patches to form and he uses neutrogena T gel and it really helps to get rid of it! You just use it before your normal shampoo so you can concentrate on the affected areas only. Or i've heard the ordinary glycolic acid toning solution works great for dry scalp!

I have the same scalp issue! Only round the front. I find it’s worse when I wash my hair less (ironically). I haven’t found a cure but I don’t let it bother me too much x

OMG!! This week I’ve started having the exact same problem with my scalp as you!! Never suffered with it before but the front of my scalp has become so dry😩I haven’t changed any of my hair products,the only thing I can think of is the change in weather🤷🏽‍♀️🥴went shopping yesterday and bought a new hair mask so hoping that helps🤞🏽

If I have a pimple I first put An ice cube for 15 minutes and after that I make a small hole with tweezers and put a blister plaster on it. Works every time! Don't apply any skincare on the pimple btw. Love you and good luck!

I've never dyed my hair and I've noticed a particularly dry scalp since the start of Autumn :( I thought it was either from the colder weather, or from sweating at the gym but not washing my hair straight after, thanks for sharing! You might have psoriasis. It could just be simple dandruff/dry skin but psoriasis is a lot more common than people know. And yes, you should see a dermatologist for it. Tea-tree oil is a common treatment for dry scalp, so you can look for a shampoo with it or dilute the essential oil in your own shampoo. I’d recommend seeing a dermatologist though before trying any treatments. 💜

I used a detox redken shampoo and noticed that I now have a flaky scalp and it’s ever since I started using their shampoo and conditioner!! Can’t seem to stop it 😔

I use to get dry skin at the back of my neck in my hair line. I was at college and a girl was putting rollers in my hair. She must of put them in to tight and the heater but my scalp a little. I used oils on my scalp before shampooing and it eventually went. Hope this helps. Love your videos ❤

Hi hun, I get problems with my scalp it’s so bad if it gets really bad go to a doctor and you can get shampoos prescribed to try sort it. T-gel or the body shop ginger shampoo can help it. Could just be the weather causing it that tends to cause mine

I get the same around my baby hairline from time to time. It looks so crusty! As a temporary solution, I use a spoolie to get rid of any flakes, the spoolie (mainly the tip of the spoolie) grabs the flakes! As an actual solution, I make sure I give my hair a good scrub at the front with shampoo, then apply a scalp oil mask. I'm also taking my face moisturiser up a bit higher than usual, because it's like the weird no man's land where the face stops and the hair starts 🤣

I had to go to the dermatologist for my scalp dryness I got in in the same place as you and it would drive me crazy!! They’ll prescribe you in an amazing shampoo that will do wonders! Please take care of it soon before you start loosing hair (I got a lot of thinning around the perimeter due to dryness)

My sister is having the exact same issue with the front of her scalp since going red/auburn/ginger!! She has been oiling it and washing it more often - it seems to get worse when left in sweat etc. that seems to be helping!!!

Rachel! It could be seborrheic dermatitis, you could get it checked out by a doctor or try some non medicated cream for it - La Roche Posay Kerium ds creme is a gem for that issue 🤍 love from a pharmacist Ps. Scalpscrubs are soooo underrated and its huge in asia too 👏🏼

I HAD THE SAME WITH THE HAIR LINE FLAKEY SCALP! I was Vit D deficient. Dr put me on a 7 week course of hi dose Vit D and my scalp is back to normal. Defo need to get into the Drs to see what they think though. Could be anything that people have listed here but get looked at and a blood test if poss. Allot of people suffer from this in winter... I do as i work nights and from home so i dont see much day light or go out too much when its cold and dark (I tend to hibernate in winter)... I never suffer with this in summer as im always out on the nicer weather. Just a thought!

Hi Rach, I’d go see a dermatologist as this could be psoriasis on your scalp. You may need to be prescribed some shampoo or be put on antibiotics to clear it up!
