As you can increase the volume when activating the ctl, I use distortion but I would like to activate the delay with the ctl but to raise the volume a little c for solos
How do you save the changes? Every time I make a change the next time I go to the patch its gone back to what it was doing before. Do I just have to reset it every time?

I thought for SURE this would answer my question but no... does anyone here know how to set the CTRL switch to a guitar solo boost WITH delay all at once? It seems to make you choose between a volume boost or delay which doesnt seem right. I dont think they would design a guitar solo boost feature without letting you add an effect to it. If I add delay using the delay button (below the screen), it doesnt turn off when I return to the base patch. Thanks for any help.
Robson Almeida not a very well documented piece of equipment unfortunately. My work around was to just duplicate the patch i like to an adjacent patch then adjust that patch volume and save it. Then switch when i need a lead boost. Not the best answer I know but, i havent gotten any responses from boss on the forum or here. Hope this helps!
John D'Angelo, I'm having the same issues. I see that Boss has not responded to your question. In the last 7 months, have you figured out the best way to use the CTL1 for a solo boost? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated
Thank you Raph Arjo Diabordo - that link was very helpful. I am finally starting to understand the potential of the GT1. I was wondering if you or anyone else can help with one more question. Do you have any recommendations on setting up a real good lead patch? For example, I have a patch set up for a rhythm hard rock sound, and then I set up the CTL1 for solo boost (but it seems pretty drive, even when adding a little bit of delay). What are some of the assigns that are used to get a good lead patch?
reaching out here for advice. Have a GT1 which is great but am putting through a Blackstar HT1 as a small 1 watt valve amp, no effects loop, just the front end input. Problem is to get any volume and decent sound at bedroom level, the amp gain needs to be upped but this then is impacted by the GT1 and advice seems to be to turn off the "pre-amp" button on the GT1. All very well but this impacts the patches and also switching patches sees the "pre-amp" on the GT1 switch on again. Don't really want to ditch the amp and get a small clean amp with an effects loop. Anyone had similar problems and worked out a solution ?
Does anyone know how to get the patches in the tone central to work correctly (like Fear the dark, Anna Stezia)? they both have a clean and a distorted sound, switching OD/DS wont do the trick of course, do I need additional equipment?
So the first two blue buttons can't be used to toggle on/off effects? They're only to navigate between patches? What if in a preset I want to be able to toggle on/off 2 differnt effects? I can't do this?
