@Jaegar Ultima Fully agreed, Trevor was a literal manic, like all of the GTA characters tended to be insane outside of cutscenes. He is the first GTA character that felt creepy but approachable lol In truth he was an honest person and never a hypocrite. Trevor was GTA first actual psychopath character, dude was a known murder and killer if you listen to some of the dialogs in the game world.
The real Johnny Klebitz rode off into the sunset the one who died was just a mockery to our childhood biker who cut all ties with the Alderney Chapter and got rid of that old lady bitch Ashley
I know this won't make things any easier, but it does help a little if you think of it in these ways: 1) Johnny chose to keep going with this life, which unfortunately lead to the dead end of Sandy Shores. No pun. Johnny in the next 5 years would become a shell of his former self here in TLAD. When you live a rough life as a badass, eventually you get taken down by another badass or you get stabbed in the back. Johnny was addicted to crystal meth and made the bad choice of going back to trashley. While he was weakening he grew complacent and blind to what was happening around him. 2) In a rather perverse way it was a passing on of the torch. Or you could say Johnny was in misery and pretty much already dead anyway, so Trevor put him out of his misery. In symbolic fashion Ashley died a week later anyhow. 3) If nothing else, blame the writers--I know I do.
***** I agree. The Jim Fitzgerald thing is one problem. The skinheads in an attempt to portray the Lost as racist when Johnny K. abhored that very thing is another contradiction. Then again, diometrically opposed factions and gangs IRL are allied in the game. If R* is anything when it comes to positions in-depth, it's being consistently inconsistent.
Pity about Johnny dying in GTA V, but yeah, i kind of see it as a passing on of the torch too (because obviously blaming the writers won't get me Johnny back). Although i have to say, as fond as i am with Trevor, he and Johnny are two very different person. I chose to spare Clay and Terry, y'know, as kind of a tribute to TLAD.
You can always replay it however you like. (Though I wish I'd known about stealing and keeping Devin Weston's Trufade Adder before I'd started Blitz Play!) The gold ratings are just for achievement sake. I liked Al DiAnapoli in TBOGT, and didn't like how you only got gold if you played chicken with the train and killed him.
For me it is Tommy Vercetti, Johnny K, Niko B. I like CJ but he is just too "normal dude" with no such interesting or funny phrases or life behind to be in my top 3
Cheese Block But Johnny didn't gave two shits about Ashley, he wanted her to fuck off in TLAD. I just don't get it. Goddamn Rockstar man, they had no respect for The Lost in GTA V.
Arkanjo Teixeira who knows man, its implied that johnny pulled that breakup shit with ashley before tlad and there are several hints and dialogue in the game that shows that johnny was still romantically invested in her, so i think its quite unsurprising, really.
It is complicated. Ray may have hit him with the gun but it was only to torture him. Aside from Johnny's meth, Trevor was already freaking out over Michael and Johnny enabled him. This makes me believr that had Trevor not known about the Jewerly Store Job, he may not have killed Johnny.
I feel for Johnny, died a lost soul desperate to relive what he once had, the lost of Alderney, Ashley was his weakness, like any man you’ll do anything for the woman you love, but sometimes that women will cause you more harm than good, RIP Johnny k x
You know, it's been years and years since I played TLaD - long enough where I forgot most all of the specific story beats. Pretty interesting that TLaD and RDR2, which followed an entire decade later, follow a very similar pattern (mild RDR2 spoilers ahead). You're a high-ranking member of an idealistic gang that considers itself more than common criminals (The Lost MC/The Van der Linde Gang), but your leader and best friend (Billy/Dutch) basically begins losing his mind, forgetting the gang's ideals and becoming little more than a selfish criminal with little regard for those under him (also being cheered on by a cowardly rat within the gang, BJ/Micah), thus becoming the main antagonist in the process. The main story in both games (well, the whole of TLAD and mostly the second half of RDR2) is basically you trying to cope with your leaders' growing selfishness and madness until it boils over into conflict and the gang mostly splits apart because of it. Wouldn't surprise me if Rockstar looked at what they did for Johnny in TLAD to figure out a way to guide the story of Arthur Morgan.
@@mikesta6337 Rockstar just hates anything cool, which is ironic considering their company name. That's why lazlow went from a rock music fan & successful & talented radio show host to becoming an effeminate, perverted, scrutinized wimp, johnny k became a meth head and got killed in a shameful fashion by a schizophrenic cross dresser like Trevor, the lost mc in GTA 5 became a bunch of weak methed up trailer trash and skater punks who poorly wore leather vests, rode choppers, and are continually mocked unlike any other gang in GTA, the lost mc, even in GTA 4, wasn't very accurate to how bikers are supposed to be extremely tough, intimidating, and ruthless & instead were not made to carry out that characterization, I could go on. The bottom line is that if it's cool, if it's metal, if it's edgy in any way, rockstar hates it. The company will really prove it when GTA 6 is finally released & it turns out to be completely "Woke".
GTA IV, and TLAD had some good fucking storywriting. Gay tony was the "bright" side of the GTA IV period. Loved this game, because it was so "dark" the stories felt more real and close by, GTA V was a bit over the top storywise. but still a good game.
Red Dead 2 is like an extended version of this DLC. Leader goes insane, the guy who thinks he’s second in charge drives the gang apart, the guy really second in charge wants to turn the gang around. And then the club inevitably falls apart. I give you that Red Dead is more developed but technically it’s two games deep and also is longer. I’d say if this was a full game it would be pretty solid.
Love the connection, glad finally somebody noticed it. I feel the Van Der Linde vibes!! Writers probably had so much material and ideas from this story lol
@@dimitarpetkov5665 Trevor is a pussy that abuses and takes advantage of weaker people (Wade, Ron, 2013 Johnny, etc), but literally goes full b*tch when people more powerful or capable than him (Michael, Dave Norton, etc) become a threat.
@dimitarpetkov5665 Trevor is a coward, he only attacks people who are scared easily, but he's a coward when Michael or Franklin yells at him. Also,in ending A he runs like a bitch when Franklin tries to shoot him
Trevor was made to kill Johnny to make his character more hard hitting. Withing 5 minutes as Trevor we seen a massive gun fight, takin the heads of gangs at once. Sadly Rockstar wanted a poweful memorable intro to dramatically improve your view on Trevor. If There is any consolation the whole studio never agreed and neith the fans, rest in peace brother Johnny "lost but not forgotten". lso i loved Billy Grey, should've been there untill the end, same with Jim.
He got into the meth with Ashley and ended up all scrawny and effed up in GTA 5. Wasn't the same Johnny from GTA 4 that took a desert eagle butt to the head and laughed it off. Sadly Ashley went out too shortly after, in a drug overdose and orgy with a bunch of 50+ year old men.
Not sure how repetitive shooting missions beat GTA V's creative missions. But hey. Keep that opinion. But remember this fact. GTA V is the bigger success.
Aku Fan I'll take those "repetitive shooting missions" - which where actually somewhat challenging and intense - over Grand Theft Arcade V anyday. GTA5's gameplay was so dumbed down that I never felt any tension during the playthrough or accomplishment after beating it. Sure the missions were more diverse but shootouts are the most important thing in GTA missions imo and they are done so poorly in comparison. And GTA V was the bigger success because it was way more accessible with its arcadey gameplay and the fully fletched out Online part (which attracts a lot of kids). Bigger success doesn't mean better game though.
Times change unfortunately, i wish Gta6 will be equally (best would be better) then Gta 4, without the online bullcrap. But little hope for that, since online is the money nowadays.
I love how Billy Grey looks like and even sounds similar to Clay Morrow from SoA..granted the TLAD DLC was inspired by the success of the SoA, I truly wonder what the original DLC might have been originally.. maybe this was the DLC planned all along but Rockstar would never truly admit it.
Imagine a crossover between the Lost and the Sons of Anarchy and the Mayans MC as like a third party. It clearly won’t happen I know, but I can dream I suppose lol.
Meth is a helluva a drug. The results over 7 years of meth usage is pretty accurate with what we see in GTA 5 with Johnny. The ironic part is, in GTA 4 he seemed to know Ashley would be the death of him, and she sure was.
2:04 Every time I start again the game I love more this scene, all the characters are well written, the lines, the body language, you can really feel what anyone are thinking (this two are arguing and I don´t know if they are gonna use their fist especially)
The thing that always got to me was how Johnny dealt with ashley. They make it blatantly obvious that shes the biggest whore in the entire city. wether it was russians, bikers, gangsters, mobsters etc, she bent over any countertop and dropped to her knees for anyone that had meth. And then it got even more depressing when GTA V came out, showing us that they never rode off into the sunset and lived happily, she eventually dragged johnny down with her and he became a junky just like her. It was wild seeing how they did Johnny so dirty like that.
best GTA biker game story ever I love all the bike races missions best one is shooting the 100 seagulls for the innovation before any missions on the game I rode that bike through the whole story line ...brothers for life LOST MC FOR LIFE..
RDR2 honestly just seems like it took the script from GTA TLAD. Billy is Dutch, Brian is Micah, Johnny is Arthur, Jim is Javier, etc. It all just feels like a rewrite.
All the more reason why I will say Red Dead 2 was overrated garbage. The story in TLAD felt like it made more sense as a outlaw crime drama about biker gang doing evil for their own survival that's not trying to be a part of a huge disrespect to history.
They need to give my man's on the wheelchair a storyline, he is so respected I'm sure he deserves one. Love GTA taking place in NYC. Rockstar is located in NYC right on Broadway just like me 😊.
Should have kept THE LOST or at least any characters from the Alderney chapter completely out of GTA V. Rockstar had a Game of Thrones boner and thought it would be cool to kill off the lost and damned main character and the other characters. People bitch that Mass Effect 3 had a shitty ending. I'm pissed I spent 20 bucks(at time the game was released) for really good DLC only for in the future the game is pointless because everyone pretty much dies in GTA V.
Angus is still alive, but that's basically it I think. But if you're talking about outside if the DLCs and GTA 4 altogether, lots of people are still alive, including Niko, Roman, and Luis, and shit tons of others.
GTA6 coming out 2025 lets hope Big Mitch Baker is still around with Angus, Clay, Terry and Jim. it would be a nice continuation for the TLAD story. for anyone wondering who the hell Big Mitch Baker is? he started a lot of biker clubs that originated in Vice City.
I hope Johnny’s brother, who johnny has an email correspondence in the game in the Internet cafe, comes back as a playable character in GTA 6 and gets revenge on Trevor
