Cause hating on it seems to be somewhat more lucrative. Yes it was a buggy mess but it's still a great game. 1.5 is the version that should have been the release in the first place. Devs actually said it wasn't ready back then but they had no say then, it has been mismanaged badly.

Came here to mention the ricochet as well. Most guns I use don’t have that perk but also it’s part of the game and in the weapon descriptions. I’d just add gta has seen numerous updates and has had two generations to polish itself. Cyberpunk stank when it released and is definitely better but for sure not gta level of polish

It's a completely different game now from it's PS3 counterpart, if Cyberpunk stayed around like GTA 5 has, it would be just as polished. GTA 5 started it's production like 18 years ago...

The biggest drawback in Rockstar games is the lack of variability in the passage and non-linearity in tasks. All games are 100% linear. In RDR 2, this is especially noticeable: if you step aside - the task is failed, if you move far away from your partner - the task is failed, if you want to kill a sniper from afar - you can't, come closer, and so on. Only for some reason in this regard they are not compared.

BUT GTAV WAS MADE IN 2013!! A game in development since GTA V was released should not be a buggy mess.

I think that makes the shallow open world experience even worse, if you take into account that Cyberpunk is an Open World RPG Shooter and is based on a very deep Pen and Paper RPG. In other Open World RPG games you can seriously explore and find lots of hidden quests and little stories, but Cyberpunk has almost none of that.

And even as a RPG it's horrible

I would not say that people who like GTA V would necessarily like Cyberpunk 2077. Under the hood Cyberpunk is an RPG (since patch 1.5 definitely) and in GTA people like to just loose their minds. Cyberpunk is more of a niche game IMO. Because you have to build your character, develop your skills, level up and if you make a bad built especially on very hard you f-d up your character development.

Almost all those little details already were in the original PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of GTA V visible (the only thing missing was the wildfire in the old versions) and no I don't think they'll be able to fix all that in a sequel, because CDPR is mediocre at best and the only saving grace were the good side stories in the Witcher 3, since both the first and second Witcher games weren't really good and would be seen as bad games nowadays (even if we exclude the game engine related stuff, both games aren't good).

@@phoenix0828 I never said they weren't in there from the beginning. I was just saying Rockstar is used to that type of game and have made plenty. Cyberpunk was cdproject red's first attempt at something like that and they weren't used to making that type of game. They didn't have to think about what guns do and the different sounds and what pedestrians do around cars or when they block paths. I just think it was a lot more than they anticipated and their engine couldn't handle it bc it wasn't designed for it. I don't know anything about designing a game but you hear devs say when they make a game on an engine that's been designed for a different style game it brings a lot of problems. Rockstar is clearly better at designing gta style games and it shows. They've done it for decades and have it down to a science. This was cdproject red's first attempt. If they make another one I bet it'll have that attention to detail with all the small things added. I'm not making excuses for them. They shouldn't have released the game in the state it was in and they should have realized what they needed to do and found a way to have that attention to detail and it not be a bug riddled mess. And you can say they aren't good but the Witcher 3 was a great game and did well and people really liked the Witcher 2. The Witcher 3 is a beautiful game and it's huge and they did a great job with if. They are good developers, they just ran in to a shit ton of problems and were told to release the game when they knew it wasn't ready.

And the Witcher 2 wouldn't be considered a bad game. You may not like it but it wouldn't be considered bad. The Witcher was released in 2007 and the 2nd one in 2011 and the 3rd one in 2015. A lot has changed in the last decade plus and the Witcher 3 still holds up 7 years later. The Witcher 3 was their 3rd game ever. That's damn good if you ask me. And cyberpunk was their 4th. If they make a sequel it most definitely will be way better. Not to mention they probably wouldn't release it on a console that can't run it.

GTA already had a good fan base before it's launch because it already launched many GTA games before and GTA5 launched 9 years ago and cyberpunk is like 2.5 years old and GTA5 is available on 3 generations and you have to pay separately for all of them, on the other hand cyberpunk is available on 2 generations and and you can get the game on the next generation for free if you have the old gen version of the game
