GTA 6 may charge $150 and that means game prices are about to change. Rumors are floating around that Rockstar is about to charge more for their upcoming game Grand Theft Auto 5 or GTA 6.

I hope so, at least for PC, a higher price of entry will mean less people willing to cheat if they have to buy multiple accounts after being banned

Given the controlling abuse the majority of publishers exploit over their developers, I doubt raising the price is going to do anything.

im not ok with a company asking for $40 -$60 for whats essentially a dlc, asking for more money on season passes, then asking if you want to buy cosmetics that they spend more time developing than the actual content you paid for, then vaulting most of the content once the new dlc is released and the cycle repeating itself year after year. sure i can spend $200 dollars making myself look cool but you know what i cant do? play some of my favorite destiny 1 crucible maps or early destiny 2 crucible maps that have been lost forever in time because they need more room for cosmetics

Game pricing is to subsidize the cost of the hardware development said games run on to run said game as a acceptable current day level of quality… If the hardware is $8999 per unit to make than the games on said hardware will be $100 per consumer game price increases should not be based on expected consumer playtime. GTA VI should be at most $60 if you exclude online features .

I just coined a new term to describe myself as a videogame consumer. Im a "wishlist gamer". Basically I only buy games that were placed on my wishlist when they go on sale for like 50% off. It requires patience, but you will eventually get to play all the games you want at a fraction of the price.

I’d pay $150. People fail to consider the value proposition of a game like this. The budget is going to be like nothing we’ve ever seen and thus a higher cost is warranted. The fact that they are even still delivering a single player story mode is a shock after the success of GTA online
