Johnny looks smaller in gta v. As someone who is a gta veteran im pissed at rockstar for making Johnny a little dumbass drug addict. If Johnny was normal like in gta iv he would have put a bullet in trevor the second he comes out of his camper. This new model is just supposed to show how he turned into nobody.

Of him being a hopeless romantic,his hero complex got him to involved with Ashley,so much so he got hooked on drugs again and killed... Still don't know why they had to make Trevor (THE CHARACTER WE PLAY AS 🤦♂️) kill him. It just makes Trevor unlikable imo.

Donald Love has probably the most weird switch of VAs from 3 to LS. in 3 he had a deep, burly voice while in LS he has a high pitched, effeminate voice. makes me wonder what happened in the years from the 80s to 2000s

You've been playing the wrong game pal This is the case with GTA 3,as far as I like this game,almost all characters are pointless and contribute nothing but only stretch out the game that shouldn't be that stretched out. Gta Iv has more important,good and relevant characters than v,but this doesn't mean that every single character on v is useless for the story with no exceptions whatsoever.

@@Doctor_Straing_Strange I mean,look at the thematic of the game,gta v makes a straight out on the nose parody of usa,this means most of the characters are basically or stereotypes or at least are pretty unidimensional,it was kinda the point mostly of the time. With that said,characters are a part where gta V kinda misses a lot,except lamar,roy and the protagonists I dont give a shit to no one else,it is the only "main" gta game with has an boring and stupid main villain,and trevor goes from being a extremely dangerous murderer to a cranky drunk lost uncle through the game. Johnny was president of a club of about 5 people who burned down the clubhouse and ended it in 2010. By 2013 he somehow became vice president again, and the lost had hundreds of members on the opposite coast. The obvious point of TLAD was that the young punks grew old, and the smarter/mature ones started to drift away from the club/criminal life. GTA 5 is a great game, but a shit sequel. You need to ignor GTA 5 for GTA 4's story to be meaningful.
Thats because those parts haven't been made to be shown close. They look cheap in both games because of the same reason. But the interior of cars looks much better in gta 5.
Elliott J they actually fall in the same universe; the HD Universe to be exact. Just like GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas fall in the 3D Universe (i.e, Clyde racing against CJ in SA.) GTA 6 might be the last GTA in this universe so you might see the same characters from 5 in the new game
*_-12054life-_* I know they're in the same universe, as I said I just didn't realize how many characters appeared in V. I do hope we get some info on Niko in the future GTAs however considering rockstar and the voice actor of Niko parted on bad terms, I doubt it 😕
I am the same, the only one I realized came back in V was the obvious one of Johnny and the lost gang. It’s been years since I’ve played 4 so everyone else like Rocco I had no idea were from the last game.
6:50 They really nailed it with Niko's character. Look at those eyes. They tell countless stories. Niko is a unique, normal guy who ended up in the crazy world of GTA and had to use violence not to get what he wanted like all the others but rather to survive and then escape from this crazy world. The one time he did like the others was near the end and we know how karma came back to punish him...
I think the biggest problem with Tony and Brucie (even though he isnt in this video) is that they made them look too clean. Both of them had wrinkles in gta iv so to make them look so clean and smooth skinned is totally illogical
Karen got massively flanderized in V. she was such a deep, nuanced and conflicted character who grew to care about Niko. in V she's just a corrupt agent who says mean words
Karen is barely even present outside of some cutscenes, she doesn't even know the player in any deeper capacity than just some goon, so why would she drop the mask of a tough government agent?

MR PERFECT Yeah, but that was 10 years ago. Episodes From Liberty City look much better than the main game, but at the same time it looks awesome for when it came out.
Most main characters' models were made by scanning the faces of their voice actors. This was not the case in GTA IV so they had to make the models themselves for GTA V. That's why they look weird next to GTA V characters

Charlotte Dunois They are probably going to do the same thing in the next GTA to some of the most important characters of GTA V, which I think wouldn't be that much of a problem, since unlike GTA IV, they were pretty replaceable right from the start.

Nah, Luis spared Rocco for being a messenger but he left LC to get rich in LS. Guess it didn't work well. He would if Michael didn't interrupted him. As for Tony, he's part of Epsilon now. Desperation dragged him into it as it did Marnie, but at least he's happy and dancing. Karen looks better than ever. Packie's face was changed after all those drugs he snorted, but they didn't gave much details on his face unlike Paige in Heists. The only unchanged character is UL Paper.
Rocco is bad for business trust me , btw i wonder if that Carmen Ortiz ever move to LS as well , since she spoke to Niko about it Its kinda sad that most of the GTA 4 characters who wanted to have a better life in LS , ends up getting them into deep shit except that Karen n UL whoever his name is
Pretty much. 😂 Though in fairness, most of them can be easily explained (Poppy is an actress, so she could have been in LC just to film while actually living in LS, Tony lost everything in LC so moved to LS, same for McReary, and so on)

Johnny was trying to cut ties with ashley and get out of the lost but nope go to los santos with the lost and care about ashley (i know he kinda loved her but not to the point he that he would act all emotional). John Marston its more in line with really badly handled model remakes. Uniform looking skin and appearence completely inconsistent with previous one in few cases. Tony has different Nose and ears, creepily uniform skin without wrinkles, and his facial hair isnt even properly positioned.....they seriously should've used his model from GTA IV without trying. He would just have textured hair instead of separate model and would work better that way...
Remember when Rockstar said that more content was coming to GTA V’s single player? “We will continue Franklin,Michael and Trevor’s adventure”. That before they got greedy with GTA Online. I REALLY hope it doesn’t happen to RDR2... It will.
XTheProtagonistX doubtful considering the game has been in development for 8 years and delayed multiple times im sure the story will be satisfying enough that you dont need dlc to see what happens after. Even though red dead redemption 1 will tell you what happens after 2.
you can blame all the kids who started buying shark cards for GTA online. GTA online itself doesnt make any money but all those shark cards do. im not holding my breath for a DLC it seems kids are more interested in online gaming than single player
GTA 5 Story DLC was planned but they shift their focus into GTA Online after they saw how well it was doing in terms of the revenue it was getting. I am not sure if they can still do it but its been 5 years and considering that RDR 2 came out and they are currently working on RD Online I don't think they will bother working on the next GTA or expanding GTA 5 anytime soon.
@@Chillwave6 Not sure how you would capture someone’s complete personality exactly when most of these characters have little time on the screens and usually are in completely different scenarios and it’s set 5 years apart in a whole different city with different people so I’m not sure seeing exactly who they are unless you went out of your way to see it is expected many games do the same. As for the huge difference in graphics and style that would have been even harder to tell, gay tony and the one fib dude are probally some of the only ones you’d actually remember the rest are kinda side characters you’d forget normally even if you played the whole game alone you’d forget them by the end of it.
@@velvetmidnight9535 I mean I've not played the TLAD myself which completely negates my argument here but I heard Johnny's personality in the original game was the type to avoid risks, think things through, relaxed but also hot tempered, while by the time of GTAV's story that's 5 years later, it's seen he had developed a meth addiction that physically and mentally drained him, making him more impulsive and weak which ended up costing him his life quick so I don't really know
@@Chillwave6 That could be the case with anyone, and it doesn't make it anymore right or honest to the story. If Niko Bellic was in GTA V and was doing smack, having turned him into a pushover I really don't think that'd be acceptable, even if logically it could happen. My 2 cents anyway.
Car conversations in GTA IV: The people actually looked like they were talking and made different expressions and motions depending on the mood GTA V: they just open their mouth and sound falls out while they stare blankly
That is not true at all. You can clearly see the same detail in GTA V just stop and watch the conversations and you'll see by yourself. The conversation Michael and Trevor have about Trevor being a hipster have tons of different expressions especially when Trevor is angry (I'm not defending GTA V because many things are inferior its true but those who are not must be defended no matter what).
Both IV and V only opened their mouths in vehicles. The developers expected you watching the road, instead of looking at the NPCs' faces, probably only for brief seconds. So, it's clever for them to put less detail on it, considering the amount of file size it would need, and most of GTA players use the third-person view (which makes the animations in vehicles are quite useless).

Why the characters were in LS Poppy: Actress, was probably filming in Liberty at the time and lives in LS Al: Same as Poppy ULP: Government official, they're always on the move Karen: Same as ULP Johnny and Ashley: Tried to move away from the city where their lives ended horribly, but didn't work out. Packie: Lost most of his family, had nothing left in Liberty City and was looking for a fresh start Marnie or whatever: No idea. Maybe an Epsilonist was in LC and told her about how she could be "saved" Tony: Lost everything he had in LC, but probably had connections in LS Rocco: Typical rich asshole, can move from city to city as he wishes
I remember in GTA IV, Marnie 2nd mission, Marnie said that her home is in Midwest. Michelle/Karen also said that she's from somewhere in Midwest, in the first date mission with Niko.
Lol They actually bothered to animate characters in car rides in GTA IV, In V the people act as if they're in the original Cutscenes of Halo CE. Severe case of Puppet Face.
I feel like we will see Trevor in GTA 6 probably trying to expand his operations to Vice City or wherever the game takes place or maybe Southern San Andreas will be a part of the GTA 6 map and we will meet him
There won't be a GTA 6. It's cheaper and more profitable to shit out another online expansion with new items for sale and aggressively push shark cards to kids that steal their parent's credit cards.

It's kinda stupid that Rockstar made all these characters move to LS. They feel so shoehorned in, not one of these characters even felt like they had the intent of moving cities in IV. Not to mention how stupid and plastic they look, and how out of character they act.
Only Packie as far as I can remember specifically mentions he's thinking about moving out of LC. It comes up in one of those friend activity conversations. ULP and Michelle are FIB so I guess them moving around also is acceptable. But the rest, yh, feels weird for them to be in LS

Mike Shklyar Tony and UL Paper are actually the only GTA 4 returning characters who still look like themselves from their appearance and how they act in GTA 5. All the other returning GTA 4 characters look either completely different or have become sore loser or both of these things in GTA 5.

It's funny that this small niche of people consider this the worst GTA game when it's widely accepted as one of the best while GTA IV, which a lot of people seem to love in this comment section, was considered a disappointment by many.
I don’t get why they took so many of the old characters, brought them back as fun little cameos, and then killed them off right there. Like... that’s a LOT of characters killed off...
