Import/Export with the addition of the Ruiner 2000 and MKI Oppressor was when microtractions in GTA realy began to ramp up on pay-to-win. Arena War was the the most blatant pay-to-win DLC with every thing being overpriced, jobs under paying, and a requirement to have custom vehicles specifically for that game mode just to be competitive. Even clothing items and upgrades that applied outside of the DLC, such as colored head lights still have a trade price. It also was the fastest DLC to die which sucks for anyone that wants to unlock anything by playing it.

Once this is out, those GTA+ players better have a + or something next to their name because I'm going to grief the sh** out of them.

In my opinion the reason why Rockstar can get away with everything they do up until now is be the massive amount of content creators that “review” the new content! They unknowingly advertise new cars and businesses to their audience! I can name a handful of YTbers that bought the new weaponized car just to say it’s trash but yet still showing it off and upgrading it for views!

Rockstar also totally nerfed the Amazon prime/Twitch benefits. Actually it‘s just GTA$100,000 a week. When the Tuners DLC came out, you got at least a free Autoshop and some (two) good discounts between 50 and 80% on specific vehicles every week. Rockstar also nerfed the regular discounts from 30-40% sometimes even 50% to 20-30%. So they are trying to sell more shark cards? Do they have a financial problem? What‘s the stock market saying?

Look, the players who subscribe to gta+ are the same ones who buy shark cards. We can take pride in knowing we’ve ground out hundreds of heists.

My thought is that these game companies have realized that the ‘whales’ don’t have any regard for the value of what they purchase. And this may seem obvious, but I’m not just talking about overpaying for micro transactions. I think the ‘whales’ see the act of paying for something as a measure of value, in and of itself. They want to pay extra, and they want to be seen paying extra. The fact that they get almost nothing is meaningless - it might even be part of the appeal. That’s why I think they’re offering so little. And that’s why I think there’s an in game GTA+ t shirt included. I would think it would be insulting paying money to get a digital shirt which is just a walking billboard for the corporation. But for them, it’s actually a status symbol - they see it as being in an exclusive club. I think the act of being exploited is what they’re paying for, which is really bizarre to me. Normal gamers are insulted by the whole thing, but whales will line up to pay for it.
