i think everyone would’ve accepted the trilogy with gta 5s engine, that’s kinda all this really is.. i don’t know why they didn’t consider it because it’s not hard at all to do, now they’re not making gta4 remastered because of the low sales and bad ratings the trilogy got, what did they expect? 60$ for a mobile port that was optimized horribly

@@J.Gainez the expectations were a bit high for the remasters, but if modders can handle it why can’t rockstar? It just simply does not make sense. If GTA 6 isn’t a product “exceeding fan’s expectations” as they quoted. I think it will be the final nail in the coffin for Rockstar’s reputation.

They were never going to put out AAA dollars to remake 3 games in new engines, and then charge you $60 for a bundle. Anyone that expected that was dooming what was going to really happen to failure before it was even just mobile ports.

This isn't really that impressive. Also there's a huge difference in doing a 10 minute mod download of the map on GTA 5 then it is to make a full on game. Modding is cool and I really like the ones that add to the game and world build but end of the day they are still mods don't give it this extra credit like 'the community makes better games then Rockstar' because that same company has made a game that you still use till this day to mod on. What dedication? this isn't difficult to do neither is it creative it's just the GTA SA map placed in GTA 5 with lowered graphics. All this graphical mods are just using the same assets and retexturizing them, it's not nowhere near the same difficulty it is to actually make the game. This is not 'real' remaster, cut it out. Not to mention this guy highly likely didn't re-textured all the vehicles; just pulled those files from a mod website and replaced a vehicle texture for it. This isn't game making, it's just skin porting from other mods he himself didn't even make the mod. Majority of modding is just skin replacements, that's it. The way vehicles behave in this isn't a new mod he added it's just the pre-existing physics in GTA 5 don't give it so much credit. Modding is like a sauce to a meal; it can make it better but end of the day it's not the meal and it will never replace the meal, just a addition.

I said let the modders get together to REMAKE the game. There is clearly more dedication and communication from the modding community because there are still new mods being made for the game today. All the assets are there, yes. Yet, Rockstar didn't do it before, modders did. The community was always there, Rockstar wasn't. If it isn't that difficult to re-skin, re-texture, program & code the game; Why didn't Rockstar release their Definitive Edition earlier, say like 2013 - 2020? Why all of a sudden is Rockstar re-releasing games? Why were GTA: IV and RDR 1 Definitive Editions put on hold? Why is RDR 2 no longer gonna get new content? Is it because of the modding community? Is it because modders are bringing more attention to old games? Or is it all a BIG CASH GRAB? Rockstar pays attention to things that are PROFITABLE. Maybe to put towards other projects like idk GTA 6..... Rockstar can see what the community wants. They aren't stupid. The dilemma is Rockstar also likes MONEY. Everybody knows this. So Rockstar will jump at the chance to MAKE MORE MONEY. That's what I don't care for. The CASH GRAB. They release a Definitive Edition for 3 old games as a CASH GRAB. They did this for the COMMUNITY? No, otherwise it wouldn't be buggy. There wouldn't be patches and updates for the Definitive Edition if that were the case. Rockstar would have shifted more of their employees to work on the Definitive Edition, if they cared. The modding community has always been there to improve or fix problems, FOR FREE. You can donate to them if you'd like but the intention of the mods are NOT FOR A CASH GRAB. THEY CARE FOR THE GAME. How would it be profitable for Rockstar to fix these problems without the incentive for MONEY? Which is why I said I would pay for a remastered copy from the modders. THEY CARE FOR THE GAME. And when a product is made with care, it tends to be very good. Like GTA V. So idk what the hell you interpreted from my original comment but it wasn't what you were thinking. I want be on your side in terms of backing up Rockstar but not in this instance. Rockstar practically released the same product as what you can get from a modded version but you pay $59.99 for their version. FUCK THAT. I'd rather put that money towards the modders since they STILL care for the game. They ACTUALLY respond to the COMMUNITY. This is what I implied with my original comment. @@deezayum it’s not a community and you’ll never pay for modded games because they are just that, modded. Some make good mods, some don’t, some work and some don’t. Then some compile them together and some don’t. It’s not some group making things together. Hence my reply to your OG comment where you giving way to much credit to an easy GTA 5 re-skin and acting like there’s this crazy level of communication and dedication. Mods are a dime of dozen and any game has mods, there will be always people that want to make shit. I play Skyrim filled out with over 70 mods but I don’t sit there and act like that it is some crazy accomplishment. If there’s mods, cool I’ll add some of there isn’t I don’t care. As for rockstar there were already mods like this long before rockstar came out with the definitive edition. And rockstar most definitely fumbled it but what they did is different to modding. Regardless of it’s questionable quality it was programmed, set with different ports with different consoles, pc and etc which all got to be done independently. Do what you want, of course add some mods if you want to. But you seem to have a weird perception that the modding community is like a team that makes a modded version for you to play. No modding is completely up to you; it’s not a community but instead think of it as a free market. Pick and choose what to add to your game and that’s it. A lot of more in-depth gameplay mods take guys months to make just to add a simple addition such as to able to smoke like in RDR 2. To illiterate my point that making a game and reskinning or adding small feature is completely different levels. You can have a criticism of the actual game and I can agree with you that they messed up. But don’t ever make a point such as I rather buy a game these modders make instead but they are not making a game and not even close for the matter. Modding is just a sauce for the maul, depending on your taste you can have a different sauce and it’s complimentary to the food but it will never be the meal. Oh and if you want to play a modded version just do it yourself, it’s not that complicated.

Haha, same. I still remember the jaw-dropping experience of discovering the jetpack for the first time. Having an already-amazing game blown to new *heights* by the change in perspective led to at least 10 consecutive hours of smoking joints and flying around. lol 🥰

А я не играл в неё 🤷 помню был фанатом вайс сити и когда вышла сан андреас, для меня (да и наверное всех) это было ВААААУ. Но диск мне купили только в 2006 и я начал устанавливать игрушку в предвкушении увлекательного геймплея (до этого играл пару раз в неё у друга), но диск оказался бракован и игра не устанавливалась. Как сказал мне друг "проблема с файлами и аудио". Я был "убит" 😣старшая сестра всё обещала вернуть диск назад и заменить его, но об этом со временем забылось. Спустя много лет, я всё же установил её (просто глянуть), но спустя 10 минут геймплея у меня пропал интерес (видимо из-за возраста и уже не интереса к играм,ну и устаревшей графики), а ещё через 5 минут я её снёс. Вот так вот бывает, когда ты профукиваешь легенду в своё время, а спустя годы понимаешь что упустил, но интереса уже нет. У всех приятные воспоминания когда видят эпизоды из этой игры, а у меня полная бесчувственность и холод 😑
