Gti Owner called my Civic Si out! 

Love the channel man. Former GTI owner. Just picked up an 07 civic si and put in a k20. It’s got skunk2 exhaust as well as a cold air intake,. Where can I go from here for more power without paying 5k for a nice turbo kit lol. It’s also my daily driver

Secondly a modded MK7 GTI would easily beat your stock TYPE R specially from a DIG because those cars are horrible to launch. Thirdly don't come here talking about beating a GTI in a straight line then change the topic to TRACK when you are the one talking about straight line racing.

The track is where the car proves itself and has become a standard of measurement of car performance. The Type R has been setting records on every major track of renown with faster lap times against similar cars in its category, not just the Golf. For you to say that about the Golf in a straight line while ignoring the Type R has shown better performance overall just doesn't prove the point you're trying to make. Type R is ahead in almost every area of engineering. It's hard to argue otherwise, if that's what you're getting at.

Further more the Golf R has set PLENTY of records in straight line racing that the TYPE R couldn't. Out of 365 days most of those days would be spent on a ROAD not a TRACK. The GOLF R is superior in every form from comfort to interior to speed, and on the ROADS and canyons it does plenty fine. So unless you live in a track stfu about track when you initially make a comment about straight line racing.

Had a 20th stage 2, i still miss it man

Crazy what little 4 cylinders can do with the right set up.

My GTi gobbled up stock scat packs, that thing was fun. Got rid of it for an Audi A3 cause the fwd on the GTi wasn’t cutting it when I made big power. I still want a v8, one day 👀

@@LoXHumaN get a vr6 a3 😉 has the same engine as the r32 or just straight up get a first or second gen r32. First gens are Gabe the manual option and are more raw where the second gen only has paddle shifters unfortunately even though Europe got a manual option

the civic is had a k24 block right? it didnt say in description. stock GTI should be faster than civic si with bolt on.. maybe im wrong.

@@BlueRice you must be new, he has a jdm k24 motor not just block with full bolt ons and tune and with the k20z3 motor it would of beaten the gti as well

@@lssi9073 i seen a few video of him when it get recommended. i just recalled one video he talk about his k24 on back country drive but it was vague. i had an s2k and currently owned same model of civic like him. k20z3. stock k20z3 wouldn't beat a stock GTI golf and probably even with bolt on. i know this because i race a few before. GTI would pull on me. k20 head with k24 would take on GTI because now the torque is near and k20/24 has better top end.

@@lssi9073 im not new into honda. you can check my video. B18c1 with skunk 2 cam shaft i had 5+years ago. i swap k20 to it after that but never got a video of it up. B20V was faster than k20 stock swap. a buddy had it in his integra and still pull on me even though i had lighter shell.

And who cares about the "if" everyone can clearly tell the gti is stock. At stg 1 in the mk7 you can make up to 300hp and close to 400 ft/lbs. Enough to wax that camaro too

@Bryce Czirr On a stock SI, sure. Gerb’s is not stock so it would be a close race. A fully tuned SI with some nitrous (which these NA engines handle very well) would send the tuned MK7 you described to Gapplebee’s.

@@Llggd MK7 stage 2 would not be a good race vs this Si…. More like a stage one which makes about 270-280WHP. And also depending if its a manual or auto/DSG. Seems like the GTI in the video was a manual and if it was DSG race would be close.

your 2012 sportswagon would not beat any of the cars you mentioned. It traps so much slower than any of the cars mentioned as well as tune for tune than any of the cars you mentioned. This GTI in this video is damn near stock. I am sure the owner of the channel knows what tuned GTI/GLI MK7.5 are capable of

I agree, because Honda truly does make the best 4 cylinder engines. N/A and Boosted, besides Ferrari. No other manufacturer has ever built a 240hp 4 cylinder, except Honda with a F22C 2.2L DOHC in the S2000.

@@ramiahwhitney1946 Looked up both engines, and they're both DOHC N/A, which hear me out, those Mitsubishi 2.0L engines N/A with 10.5:1 comp make around the same power as a Honda Accord EX 94-95' Honda F22B1 SOHC 2.2L that makes 147HP/150TQ on 8.8:1 comp, with a single cam. And make even less power then a Honda F20B JDM DOHC engine that makes 197HP/145TQ with the same displacement and cams with .5 higher comp ratio at 11.0:1 comp. So sorry! I've never been impressed with the Mitsubishi 4 cylinder engines, like ever. And once again no factory N/A Mitsubishi engine has ever made 240HP 4 cylinder engine from their factory. Boosted yes, but not all motor from their factory like you're essentially saying.

Beside that’s your if you think Honda K Series are number but may have to disagree. IMO you not impressed with A Mitsubishi 4Cylinder engine it’s turbo charged but like I said, no one cares if it’s N/A or not they like it, because the it’s a very strong Engine with an Iron Cast Block that handle up 600. So and your information is wrong on all aspect.
