Never have cared for the way the new GTO's looked on the outside, but always did like the way the inside was put together. They was also a blast to drive. Nice goat man.
"Professional"? LMAO kid looks like he just graduated from high school with a tassle from 2011, using a phone as camera equipment. But clean GTO though
Real REAL nice my friend!!! Been mega busy, but saw this at the top of my sub box and knew I had to click on it. Prolly the last vid I watch in 2011 too! Major props on reppin the Triple-X shirt man....really appreciate all your support! Killer job on the edit, photography and the GTO action. Loved the electrical transmission lines on that horizon...hope ya got a couple of still images of that....? Thumbs WAY up! :)
Talk to your local stereo shop. I didn't go with subwoofers to save on weight, but I have 4 Rockfords, 6x9s I think. They're all hooked up to an amp thats 70 watts per channel and the headunit is a cheap pioneer double din. I'll be upgrading that eventually.
His videos might not be "dude in blue" status but the kid loves his car. I don't see what all the hates about. Good for you for leaving the comments on. It's a lot harder to take criticism from more people that hate you for no reason than love you.
Thanks buddy. She made 330/330 on a hot summer day. Normally they should put down closer to 340-350 stock. She is no longer with us however, victim of a guard rail.
@BigKleib34 Yeah dude, things are flowing here. Just got home from another long day. Had a cruise to Louisiana on Saturday planned for a long time, so it's gotta happen man! Been pretty bummed the last few weeks, but it may just happen afterall. Thanks again for repping the X! XXL and XXXL sizes are being delivered tomorrow, so if ya submit an order, it'll go out pronto! :)
Hey BigKleib34, I just purchased an 06 GTO A4 and I absolutely LOVE the sound of yours! Man, I gotta get mine sounding like that! Can you tell me what type of exhaust you have? And are there any other noise enhancing mods besides the exhaust?? Thanks bro!
Pretty cool video right there! Gotta love the GTO's... I drive an 99 LS1 Camaro and hope to get a GTO one day ;) Can i ask you what Camera you used to film this video?
Not sure, I actually stole it from my dad. It's a truck cover lol. They can be bought at most auto parts stores or online. Just make sure you get a durable outdoor one ;)
Nice! I'm not sure what's next. I just sold my CTS-V and for the meantime I've picked up a Jeep to puts around in. I'm toying around with a few ideas. Whichever way I go, there should be a ton of videos related to the project!! :) I also had an LT1 car back in the day... 93 TransAm, that was fun while it lasted. I had that for about a year before I decided to sell and save up for the GTO.
Man, that thing had a very nice exhaust note, what a shame it's long gone now. Was it not worth trying to get it fixed??? Looked pretty save- able to me, but hard to tell without looking at it in person and checking the roof and rails at the front. Rear quarter wasn't such a big deal. But I'm a mechanic, not a panel beater. One thing I had to point out, hand position on the steering wheel is so crucial when driving, I always cringe when people drive with one hand and hold the wheel at the 6 o'clock position. Can you answer honestly if I ask, were you driving with your hand in that position when you crashed on the highway??? One hand isn't the problem, but you really wanna hold it somewhere between the 9 - 3 o'clock positions if your gonna fang it around with one hand on the stick and one on the wheel. It's the only way to drive stick hard and have fun. Obviously serious track driving is better with 2 hands as much as possible, drifting is the exception ;). You always use one hand on the wheel when drifting, hey! I'm sure your well aware of what I'm talking about being a stick driver yourself
I'm sure someone may have asked and it's probably been answered before but what stereo replacement do you have? I'm looking to ditch the stock cube. Sweet car man!
Hey what percentage window tint do you have on your GTO? I like that percentage whatever it is, Im going to tint mine soon. I have the same year and color int/ext.
Sad to see it leave it was a BEAUTY. I got a question for someone to answer. If I bought an 06 with the LS2 and my mods were a cold air intake, headers, performance exhaust, and a tune/ecu flash for higher power what numbers would I be looking at? Enough to get 400hp AT THE WHEELS?
Throttle body spacer? Does that actually do anything? I mean intake spacers have variable gains but a throttle body spacer? Did you see any improvement on the dyno?
@rekjavicxxx Thanks man! Yeah I got a few stills of that haha. Thanks for the comment. Try not to get too stressed out over there!! Bout to go get me a Triple X Hoodie!! :D
I have a 2004 5.7 manual for 5 years now. So happy with it, interior scheme is one of the nicest I've seen in any car. Gas mileage isn't bad at all considering exact if you strictly do city driving. Unfortunately my goat has been my daily driver and pretty dinged up with other people hitting me. Even though I'm a full proponent of it something of things that have gone wrong in my car: top of thr back seats stitching has come undone, the sun maybe?, putting it in first gear sticks sometimes, has a squeaky belt (LS engines are known for this and is associated with moisture). The good far out weight the bad, I have a completely stock gto (no work done to it) and don't really even wash it and people still come up at least once a week and comment on it. Anyone that has a gto there is a cult following. For example, a Mustang or Charger built in the same year wouldn't exchanged glances at a red light whereas with vehicle, their is a comradery. All in all, I wouldn't go back in time and not purchase this vehicle.
What times do you run at the track? I got an all stock down to the air filter 2006 GTO m6 impulse blue, best time on street tires 13.09 @ 108 with crappy 2.1 60foot
+Vader 96 He no longer has this car due to a wreck, I have an 04, and have owned it for 2 years now with no issues. These cars are fairly reliable and somewhat rare, especially one with lower millage.
+Vader 96 i have an 05 with the SAP package and let me tell you it looks sick as hell , also the ls2 adds a significant amount of power over the ls1 in the 04. Got mine for 16k and since the owner wasnt even planning on selling it he through in a set of rims he was planning on putting on anyways. Biggest downside was the tranny was fucked (its a 6 speed) so we had to replace that which cost quite a bit since we opted for a built tranny capable of 750 flywheel without pushing it. i would definitely recommend one if you subscribe to the aesthetics, shit melts tires in 3rd almost completely stock
***** unfortunately nobody knew the tranny was going to bust a month after we got it, but even with that upset it was an excuse to build the tranny so it wasnt too bad. and after the costs of the bulletproof transmission it still cost less than ive seen gto's go for recently
***** c6 wouldnt work too good for me, i gotta daily it and 2 seats would be really inconvenient. GTO lets me have vette power without sacrificing all the practicality yknow. not claiming a gto is a c6 with back seats, there are some disadvantages like the 3800lb you gotta lug around but it uses it well with luxery. for a 16k car at least
Does Your Pontiac Give You Problems ? Cause I Really Do Love This Car And Would Like To Own One But I Hear That They Are Always Over Heating & Braking Down Or Having Engine Failure
Yeah, no offense or anything but I think this may be a little much for a first car anyway. If it was my first car I would have probably wrapped it around a pole. I would check out the Grand Prix GTP. Lots of power for its class, put a few bucks into one and you'd stomp mustangs all day long.
