Thanks for sharing Guadalupe, my last residence from 1986. It is totally unrecognizable to me. We used to live on the corner what we called "Corner Singson Village". Our house was behind my uncle's 2-story concrete house facing the Guadalupe st (but now looks like a 4-story school). Based on the distance from the elementary school, we think it is the corner where you referred to as the short cut to Calunasan. I wonder if it is the road that leads to Andres Abellana? Coz this is the farthest st we have gone before, before we turn right to go towards the capitol. This area used to be just cornfield. I remember our house was just before Guadalupe Heights.

@@jamilm3458 I do not know about Nicole Heights. I only know about Guadalupe Heights, it was just diagonal to where we live before. I remember our next neighbors were the Teves family, then the Alonte family (the father was a professor in USC, his daughter was my classmate in USC), then the house of Dra. Bayani (her daughter Beverly was our childhood friend). But it is really nice to see how Guadalupe is. But I still have a question if that very corner referred to as the short cut to Calunasan is the Corner going to Singson Village? The structure in the very corner looks like a school already. That spot was my uncle's 2-story concrete house, and our house was just behind it. I heard our spot is now a Pension House.

Came across your video of Guadalupe. Wow has the city changed. My grandparents second home was there for many years until recently the property was sold. Thank you for your video of Guadalupe. I had great memories, as a child, living in the Philippines.

I stayed in Banawa on one of my trips and really liked it. I walked to the Circle and back a few times so enjoy seeing some of those places I passed again. Sorry to see in your previous video how many of the shanties have gone.

I am not from the Philippines but I did go to USC Talamban then transferred to SWU from 1982 to 1987. I used to go to Nicole Heights to my sweetheart who used to be my classmate in USC. Cebu was like my 2nd home and I knew Cebu like the palm of my hand. I tried looking for Nicols Heights on Google earth but cannot seems to locate her house. I lost all contacts on my Cebu friends.

The Cebu Landmasters project is the street where my house was on. The owners of CLI lived in that subdivision too. Mayor Tommy Osmena lives on that street as well. Lol.

I get scared for you watching you cross those busy streets and having to walk in them. There is so much busy traffic. There's a lot of contrast between the area just outside Guadalupe where they look very poor and much better in Guadalupe. 😀👋💖

I have one question while watching this Video? I see many new Vehicles being driven but where are all the older ones? I own two Vehicles a 1997 Ford Truck & a 2003 Subaru Forester I can't afford to buy a new Vehicle here so I wonder how this is possible there when there are supposed to be such poverty there.

Very funny. That ombudsman is a Swedish word for an person representing another person or group in negotiating against an authority or something. Think only Sweden have that word.
