I think the reason why guardian tales is not that famous is because it lacks content's and it doesn't really have anything besides story and vs and time challenges
My friend showed me GT(I didn't know about it back then) and showed off his Kamael. I downloaded the game and played. One week later, I met him in a mall, we go to a nearby Mixue and talked about GT. He told me he is in Shen City, I opened my phone and showed him my maxed out ascended Craig, Beth, Miya and Oghma.
Guardian tales is gem in the mud,not really popular but has wonderful story and characters.. I hope it can be more popular so your cover will also be legendary☺️

technically yes, i used a virtual instrument (midi mapped on piano roll) because i dont have high quality peripherals to record it using my real guitar
honestly i haven't played much GT for now due to time constraints but i think he's still strong enough in a decent team. Versus the new ones though, I cannot say.
