I know this is an old(er) video, but it came up in my feed as I had searched on how to change batteries in the sensors. I bought my first receiver and 2 sensors (Guardline!) in Dec 2019. I live in Northwest MT. I just today (3/13/2022) replaced batteries in those first 2 sensors. I have since added 4 more sensors ... the 1/4 mile setup as I have a long driveway. The peace of mind ... for me and my pets re delivery trucks and sometimes lost persons ... has been enormous! I do get some wildlife alarms but since I have multiple sensors with different "songs" on the driveway, I can detect whether it is wildlife "crossing" or someone/thing coming up the driveway. As you noted, it is a versatile system. I hadn't thought about the camping aspect, but I am a solo rvr and I will take a setup with me next trip - thank you!! Also ... a co-worker (long distance via Zoom) who lives outside a metro area on largish property, heard the alarms in a meeting one day. Short story, he bought a system to assist with some neighbor encroachment and is very happy. *** battery replacement was 2 years 4 months after install ... the better part of 3 winters. AND, Guardline has great videos on how to do everything.

I love this product. I bought two transmitters and a receiver. I put one at the end of the drive way ( approx 300 feet away) and another at my front door. They work great. Indiana Jones music for cars and people entering the property and door bell sound for the front porch. Great product! Now I know who's coming a knocking.

I have been thru a number of such devices(tho not this brand), and battery life in cold weather and water intrusion were the downfall of my previous two tries. Hi, great video. I always like to see videos regarding home/property security. I am curious, as you appear to have a pool, have you ever heard of a pool "buoy", or sensor that can tell the difference in wind/rain action on the pool surface as opposed to someone/something actually in the pool? While perimeter security near a pool is a great idea, this could also help detect if someone/something has actually fallen into the pool. The device will then send a signal to a receiver/alarm. Might be nice, especially if one has kids, or even infirm family members.

Can the sensors be toggled to not make an audible alarm? I would only want notification on the monitor.

Wait can it go off super loud with the typical burglary sound?

If it’s not going direct line side from the sensor at the gate to the house, does it still work with lots of trees in between?
@handydadtv
@handydadtv Год назад
Probably, but you’d have to try it. Return it if it doesn’t work for you.

Can some tell me how long is the ring notification. It seems only for a few secs and its highly possible to missed the short pulse or buzzed notification. Can someone please clarify this concern.
@handydadtv

It is short and doesn’t repeat unless more motion is detected.

We have a small acreage plagued by marauding dog packs. We want sensors that can be set to alert on dog-size critters -- we don't care about people or vehicles. Will the Guardline sensors work for us?
@handydadtv

I couldn’t say for sure. I didn’t test with animals. But I think it will.

My neighbor would just steal the sensor and you are out of luck. Could I mount this inside my attic top gable vents ?? Just remove the screen and you are done. No ladder needed also. That way it cannot be seen. Can the unit work like that ??? Thanks
@handydadtv
@handydadtv 3 года назад
I doubt it. It's a bad idea to remove the screen on your gable vent because it keeps critters out.

Well, two of my sensors have failed completely since I posted. Did everything Guardline told me but they chime constantly until replaced completely. When my remaining sensors die I will be looking elsewhere.

I just released this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-K1DIfYE-gsA.html about YoLink leak detection. I noticed they also have a driveway motion sensor. If it’s anything like the leak sensors, it’s gotta be good.
