Thanks for doing my quiz guys! I tried to do tough but not impossible questions, with a couple of tricks and layups thrown in. A couple of mistakes people have pointed out: - Alexa did debut on the date I said, but had her debut match against Becky a little later on August 9th. - Matt Hardy vs The Ringmaster (Stone Cold) aired on January 15th, not January 8th. I thought I had been pretty solid in my fact-checking but those ones obviously got past me so I apologise. I will be more stringent when it comes to any future quizzes I may submit.

What's funny about the first question is that John was actually correct about Simon Dean also having The Boogeyman's first TV match, even though the question was about Bobby Lashley. Too bad there isn't any extra credit points.

Steve Austin debuted in the WWF as The Ring Master. Managed by Ted DiBiase, clean shaven with a buzz cut. He knew immediately that the gimmick wasn't going to go anywhere so he pitched a cold blooded killer type character and WWF creative at the time gave him a list of ridiculous ice and cold themed names. He talked about that whole thing when he was on Hot Ones.

Booker T and Bagwell is considered the worst match because of the crowd reaction, It was during an episode of Raw and they had the ring done up in WCW colors, Lighting, Even changed the entrance around and had spotlights, It was meant to be the launch of WCW as its own brand, It was too soon though and the audience was full of WWF loyalists that just spent years booing WCW, To say the reaction was negative is an understatement, You can't even hear the announcers over the boos in some recordings, Plans for the launch were immediately scrapped and the idea wouldn't be revived until years later with Smackdown

That Dominique question tricky. I remember being tricked on a Fabio question where they asked his film debut. I thought early 90’s. but he was a baby in the movie Atlas Against The Cyclops in 1961.

So. The 2019 question with Ricochet. What happened was that raw was losing numbers, so they implemented the wildcard rule, and then brought up Ciampa and Gargano as a tag team, Ricochet, and Aleister Black. Where the latter 2 became a team since DIY got injured

I have no clue about the Pandemic era, but as soon as I heard 'first appeared on WWE TV more than 17 years before this event' my mind instantly went to the 'Custody of Dominik ladder match. For some reason this whole story line with Eddie claiming to be his father always stuck with me for how absurd I thought it was, even as a child.

This was one of the easiest questions of the quiz, to be honest. I know in 2020 Rey had a feud with Seth that culminated with Rey "losing" his eye and Dominic defending him. Also saw the Rey and Eddie feud years before and Dom was ringside almost every week

Virgil was bodyguard for Ted DiBiase , sometimes he was a substitute for DiBiase and sometimes his tag team partner right from 1987 to Royal Rumble 1991 where they beat Dusty and Dustin Rhodes . After the match Virgil turned against DiBiase and began a feud with him which lasted up to This Tuesday In Texas a week after Survivor Series 1991 . At that event Virgil teamed with Tito Santana and lost to DiBiase and Repo Man .

I got 17 points and I guessed wrong on the Ricochet question. I knew easily Lashley, Rousey, Batista, Marella, Fandango, Del Rio, Dom Dom, Stratus, Finn and Corbin. The others required some thinking but I got them. Great quiz and video John, Dante and Sofia.

Question 2 is wrong. Alexa Bliss made her on-screen first appearance that night, but didn't actually wrestle her first match until August 9, where she did beat Becky. On July 26, Natalya beat Becky.

Yeah Jericho did not like the idea of losing to Fandango because he felt the gimmick was too dumb and wouldn't last long. Jericho is a guy that doesn't mind putting over young talent but yeah that was during the time Fandango's gimmick didn't take off.

Honestly looking back as a wrestler Alberto del rio was underrated he had a good match with cena and that triple threat with punk and cena was rlly good. I think he shouldn’t have been put threw the punk because of how red hot punk was. But he honestly wasn’t a bad wrestler at all. I think as a person though he isn’t for obvious reasons

He made his WWE debut just before Summerslam 1991 as 'the real world champion'and WWE would video distort his 'real world title' . His WWE pay per view debut was at Survivor Series that year he teamed with Warlord , Mountie and Ted DiBiase to defeat Roddy Piper , Virgil , Bret Hart and British Bulldog . Later in the evening he interfered in the WWE title match between Hulk Hogan and Undertaker costing Hogan the belt . He would interfere again in the rematch at This Tuesday In Texas a week later but Hogan won the match and regained the belt . WWE president Jack Tunney stripped Hogan of the belt due to the controversy in both matches and the belt was awarded to the winner of the 1992 Royal Rumble .

They should’ve made the quiz exclusively with tv (Raw/Smackdown) and not PPV. So there can be trick questions where someone’s first match was on PPV but first tv match is some time later

Funny story from me regarding Simon Dean. As a kid, I thought his fitness videos were legit and thought they were legit commercials during Raw. When I saw him actually show up and wrestle, I thought “huh, the fitness instructor is also a wrestler?! That’s pretty cool” Didn’t realize until years later that they were just his video packages to get him ready to debut.

I think it was less about the man and more about the gimmick. He didn't think the gimmick would get over enough to justify him doing the job at WrestleMania. On one count, he was kinda right, on the other hand nobody even remembers that.
