The days of numbers matching stock examples of cars being the only valued ones are over. Millennials mostly don't care and Gen Z and Generation Alpha certainly don't or won't. Think about it like this, people today care so little about lineage and pedigree that they think a Supra can be a BMW. Numbers matching, clean title, and stock searching behaviors are for boomers and some Gen X.

The only thing missing is the bell sound effect when someone enters a price on the show.

I’m a jdm person and I can’t speak for others, but I would rather buy a jdm car than a Porsche because I’m not looking for the performance, I just find these cars neat. I’d rather buy an R32 GTR V-SPEC II then a newer performance car not because it’s better in performance ways, but because I just like it you know? It’s all opinions. Only thing you can’t argue about is how reliable Honda and Toyota are. I’d rather have one of their old performance cars in a good condition than a Porsche of the same spec due to the fact they’re more reliable lol. My grandma’s old 2003 accord has been passed down the chain of our family for years and is still going strong!

I remember the turbo manual mk4’s where changing hands for 12-15k in 2015 in Ireland. I remember sunny GTI-R’s where going for around 4.5k. There’s one on marketplace rn for 32k

You're not wrong, dude. When you actually stop to look at MKIV's, They're not rare cars, They're not high hp 2JZ-GTE makes about 340hp stock. They're heavy at 3500lbs. These cars are not worth more than $40k in their best condition. same thing with GT-Rs The amount of money you have to put into these cars to not only maintain them but to make them fast is astronomical.

idk what you consider high power, but a 2jz-gte can get to about 800 with just fuel mods, standalone ecu, and a big turbo

@@bronkarr8942 about $10k for those mods. but you also need to upgrade you tires, suspension and chassis. as well. Going from 340hp to 800hp is a serious jump. so more like $20k to get a solid car. So I have to ask, if I have to spend a minimum of $20k to get a car that can run with most super cars, Why am I paying supercar prices for a stock one? When I could just buy a purpose built supercar for less? Remember the MKIV Supra at it's oldest is 30years old. So I have to buy a vehicle with 30-year old problems, invest in upkeep and $20k for all mods to have a what is at the end of of the day, a Toyota. I saw a MKIII Twin Turbo R going for $42,000usd. it's not worth that. MKIV Supras are not worth $80k. I love my Supra but it's not worth that much no matter how much I put into it.

I've seen a website that sells some interior parts, but after market for mr2 aw11 is mostly dead compared to other cars. So good luck for finding parts, also you can try to go to junkyards and try find a mr2 and just take parts from there.

Or you can try and find a spares and repair listing with mr2.

Worth asking Neil Jones or mr2mk1toyotaspares. AW11 is a bit weird in the aftermarket support, coming from the SW which I thought was a drought of parts

Also worth checking TwosRUs for some stuff. Don't bother with Prime or Heaven, avoid them as much as possible
