anna this reminds me of what one of my clients did. She pulled her kids out of school to attend their fathers promotion ceremony and normally, I would be okay with this. But because these kids were in pre-school and kindergarten, they had no clue what was going on.

This is normal for Africa. East Africa you invite people after you come home for tea and to see the baby. If you don't, they will still come coz its almost expected for friends and family so it shocks me that everywhere else in the world don't have that.

Kenya had a party for her baby Brooklyn to OFFICIALLY introduce her to everybody who hadn’t necessarily met the baby yet... it wasn’t technically a kids party but some parents did bring their kids... but Eva just happened not to bring her kids because she thought she was only going to meet Kenya and her baby and didn’t think there would’ve been other kids there... there’s really not much to understand... I don’t see shade with that but I can see how with the info of her somewhat engaging with Kenya before in a setting she wasn’t comfortable she wouldn’t want to

On the show when she was asked by porsha why she didn't bring the kids she said she doesn't know Kenya and she was worried that there would be drama but now on the real she's back peddling saying ooo I didn't want to take my kids out of school. Not everyone else's kids were in school dude...and even of that was the case that doesn't mean she should pull her kids out of skl to go to a damn party because everyone else did🙄
So, if this was a sip and see, this was back when Kenya’s baby was just a couple of months old. Usually the sip and see’s I have been to, the baby is still no older than 2-3 months so why would someone even want toddlers and school age children around their baby who doesn’t quite have an immune system. I don’t see what the big deal is as a rarely see young children at sip and see’s. Furthermore, Eva doesn’t have to explain why she didn’t bring her children. They’re her kids, PERIODT. She decides their social outings and this wasn’t a priority take them out of school for. Carry on, nothing to see.

Cambodian pplz have a baby shower party a few months after a baby is here. Its like what Adrienne said "meet and sip" they said its bad luck to have a baby shower before the baby is here.
Parents love, care, work so hard 24/7 if they want one dang afternoon or whatever to themselves it's cool. And they leave them with someone they trust like grandma's and the kids are fine, their happy. I cant stand when people judge and say you're kids should go wherever you go.
Im Mexican and in our culture we do have a presentation but that’s usually in a church after birth or also when they turn 3yrs we present them to the community with a religious ceremony and a party afterwards

Here in Nigeria its called a naming ceremony. For Yorùbá people (I'm Yoruba), it's a week after the baby's born so that's when the baby's names are announced. Everyone comes and it's a whole thing. Lol my cousin's baby's is tomorrow and I soo wish I could go. Not really a kids party but kids are allowed

I don't know about the rest of the continent of Africa but as a Ghanaian this is our tradition. Every newborn is outdoored and gets a naming ceremony. I think it's like after the eighth day of birth or so. This is how the baby gets officially introduced to the world.

I had a "presentation" party too...it's a catholic (Mexican) thing...where when I t 3 I turned 3, I was presented to the church and then celebrated my birthday at home with family and friends the same evening.

I don't think she was wrong either way. She said that every time she's been around kenya it was always some drama surrounding Kenya. She never really had the chance to get to know her. When you have kids you want to be careful of who you are bringing around your child. Same as being careful of who you bring to your house. It just so happened that her kids were in school as well. The way the info was presented to Kenya was messy which is why she is offended. She thinks it's more to it than what it is.
So I don’t know if you know but Catholic Churches do this too. It is not a big party though just the parents taking the kid to any mass and then the priest takes the kid and do what the lion does and he say the name of the kid and give some blessing and welcoming the kid in the community.
And if you said your kids were in school and you didn’t want to pull them out than it wouldn’t have been a issue. But what you said implied that Kenya would have done/said something at a kids party with multiple children there.
