Templars stop shooting minigun if you are really close. They have one melee attack that pushes you away for him to be able to shot you. So the guide is not complete, but it's really useful for newbies
As Rex you can also oneshot the alloy worship in siren's call by kiting it near the pillar in middle and shooting R (yes the healing aoe) on the opposite side of the pillar. The boss and its huge hitbox will get pulled to the pillar with high speed if its near enough (and take massive collision dmg).
Couple of extra tips/strategies: 1. If you have a quail, you can always avoid the Imp Overlord's spikes by sprinting and jumping in the opposite direction just as he throws the spikes. 2. As Rex, your disperse ability destroys the Wandering Vagrant's chargeshot *without* detonating it, allowing you to safely dispose of it at close range. 3. The Clay Dunestrider's tar balls can be consistently avoided by running *towards* the balls and then side stepping them right before they hit you. 4. All lesser wisps and jellyfish, regardless of elite aspect and health pool, can be oneshot by pushing them into a surface with enough force. This can be achieved with Commando's phase round (if you still use that ability for whatever reason), Rex' disperse, Mercenary's blinding assault (inconsistent), the Crowd Funder, and other abilities under certain conditions. Greater Wisps and Brass Contraptions are also somewhat susceptible to being pushed, but not to the same extent. 5. This is more of a cheese strategy, but Beetleguards and Bison may run off cliffs while chasing you, provided that you run along the edge yourself. Can be handy for dealing with a pesky elite when you are lacking in damage.
To add a bit more to tip 4, if you play as merc you can also oneshot wandering vagrants if you use your shift correctly. Angle it straight into the middle of its body from above. I hope Hoopoo fixes this though. Works for the alloy worshippers too btw (aim into the middle of its body aswell), so no worries about the unique one since you can oneshot him for a free legendary.
Renegade so far on scorched acres my beetle guard gets stuck from falling over and over and imp overlord bosses for some reason jump of the ledge and die
Merc's blinding assault is actually consistent but hyper hard to pull off. You need to dash less than halfway into the target, so the game tries to extricate it from you and pushes them at insane speeds in the opposite direction. It's not really usable against lesser wisps given their size and the fact that blinding assault will likely one-shot them early on, but bigger threats can be essentially deleted if you do it right.
Little update about the Templar’s: they have a close range sploog that doesn’t do damage but CRIPPLES your movement speed and is a death sentence after loop one.
As the other two big threats are absent I should give an explanation. Void reavers are top priority for big enemies, nothing is worse than being one shot. For their attacks keep distance but usually a double jump of any kind keeps you safe. Scavengers are terrifying if left unchecked because he gets items too. Though it mostly depends on his stuff, it’s best to keep distance at all costs to avoid his strikes easier.
For engineer enthusiasts: the imp overlord's opening move is always the teleport smash, so activate the teleporter, set up your minefield and watch the overlord get blown all the way to the moon to say hi to Mithrix... it may take a few tries to time it right though...
The new alloy boss is WAY overtuned. But, you didn't cover a trick with that boss. If you are playing Merc, you can spam dash on alloy and if you graze his side with the end of a dash he will go flying and instantly die on impact of a wall, just like any flying mob. (merc op)
This also works with wandering vagrants or any other floaty enemy I personally think it's easier to push them from above and into/onto the ground so I dont accidentally push it like out of bounds by accident. Did that once, it ended my run lul
Imp Overlord is kinda trivial as all hell if you have hopoo feathers. Literally just stay in the air and strafe a little bit, you'll never get hit by them. It's really where Artificer shines in terms of boss slaying IMO.

People also never seem to notice that the Queen has a long charge-up FX at the mouth before firing, so you could just jump exactly when it shoots. Knowing that makes the Queen go from easy to impossible-to-lose.
Another thing I found helps with the greater wisps in particular is vertical mobility: as soon as you have some feathers and you stay in the air, they become big derps and will pretty much never be able to hit you lol
Ive just started the video and i think an overloading clay dunestrider is the second scariest thing ive heard of in this game, right behind the concept of malachite stone titans
You can switch stone golems and greater wisps, one is telegraphed the most out of any attack and only requires a little thought to dodge until it's in groups more than four, and one has a big stupid aoe attack that keeps interrupting your healing and whittling down your health.
something interesting about the imps: They don't really follow you until they blink. I've had countless imps do circles around me as their attack requires them to blink, and they can't blink unless you are directly in front of them. If you manage to stand behind one their a.i. will not know what to do
The Solus Control Unit and Alloy Worship Unit are technically separate bosses, kind of like how you can get logbooks for both magma and overloading worm though both launch out Solus Probes.
I've found that on the Alloy Worship Unit you can get on top of him and he just spins underneath you while you can hit him for free. You still gotta run in circles though or he will get his eye under you eventually.
Woolie do you play RR2 with a full party much? I usually only see you play solo, just wanted to hear your thoughts because the scaling seems so much harder the more people in a game.
On stream he said that multiplayer is more difficult, especially when not all players are on the same page. He doesn't really play multiplayer in this game though.
The people who replied nailed it - I prefer solo play (in every game - not just RoR2) and multiplayer on Monsoon especially scales very quickly, meaning if not everyone is on the same page, you are going to struggle
Clay Templars' machine gun fire can also be stalled by approaching them at melee range (although this is somewhat unreliable and has rarely failed from my experience). When the player is at close range they will cast an attack that launches you back and applies the slowdown effect. It's annoying, sure, but better than dying.
I believe that Stone Titans can bodyblock each other's lasers and so you can just strafe side to side next to one at a time, provided you have enough HP/tankiness to survive everything else.
I have trouble with bosses mostly because I get overwhelmed with lesser mobs and can't take them out fast enough to be able to focus on the boss without getting hit from every angle possible every half second
A pretty minor bit of info, but if you rely heavily on drones/minions (especially the big one that occasionally appears for purchase), *clay templars* almost serve as anti-aircraft for enemy support. If you have any love for your drones, aggro or just focus down templars quickly or you're gonna watch your drones drop like flies.
Something helpful about Stone Titans is the fact the enemies can damage each other. If you're far enough from a Titan for it to fire a laser, get another Stone Titan in between, and watch the boss make the fight a significant bit faster. The only issue is that you need a bit of distance from the Titan that's being hit by the laser, meaning it will likely fire a laser soon after the other one finishes, unless it dies of course. Hope this helps with challenge of the mountain!
The geovetender used it’s chain attack and launched me in the air. Then I used the utility move as loader on the way down and got the next utility because I was falling fast enough
You forgot something about the bison: if they hit a wall while charging, they're stunned for a few seconds. Also, I laugh at Vagrants because all you have to do is duck behind a rock.
Alloy worship unit can be easily chested with mercenary. If you're close enough to the boss and blink right through it, it'll push the boss away. Push it into the ground or walk, and you can easily kill it with the massive damage it takes.
Tip for people dealing with elite bison on Rallypoint Delta, go to the cliff face near the water and they will run over you while you stand on the wall itself.
If your having trouble with greater wisps, when they are about shoot run directly towards them, in a strait line, do not strafe at all, if you do it correctly the 2 shots and their splash radius will miss leaving your thick yet fragile body unscathed
Yeah I’m here because I started the game recently and the wandering one keeps one shotting me and I had no idea how. Liking the game though, thanks for the vids.
I think the wandering vagrant is the easiest because all you need to do is keep running and keep distance (and then there’s the explosion but that’s pretty easy) and if your someone like MUL-T, Huntress or Commando it’s just easy dub
additional tips: -against the Imp overlord, meleeing it isn't too bad as long as you can stay airborne: the imp will miss all the time while it is tall enough to be attacked again and again. feathers are great for this task -for the Vagrant, there is another safe spot: and that's standing right on top of it: once you are here, it will stop attackign entirely aside from the explosion, but even that will not damage you: reaching that part of the vagrant can be hard for most characters though
If you stand on top of wandering wagrant it won't shoot it's homing bomb attack. It can only hit you with the big explosion. Just avoid other monsters ranged attacks like lesser wisps'
I have more problems with the Queens than almost any other boss monster, because how they summon beetle guard that seems to bypass the director's cost limit, along with how early they show up when you have less mobility.
Some other useful tips: Stay close to clay templars. They take a very long time to turn around to hit you, so they are a laughable threat if you just go right up to them and walk around behind their backs. Stone giant bosses block each others’ laser beams, so if you have multiple, use that fact to your advantage! Always kite perpendicular to brass contraptions’ spike balls and they should all miss. Similarly to clay templars, stone titans will reset their laser and slowly turn around of you run behind their backs, so running past them in straight lines is much easier than kiting in a circle. This is what makes kiting a huge group of them doable imo.
Titans can’t shoot their laser through other titans Since they’ll usually attack at once, with any number you can stay close to one so he doesn’t attack and hide behind him
It's bugged, though. Sometimes they shoot straight through other titans and even through themselves when you get behind them while they shoot. I just hide behind cover because using THEM as cover killed me more than once.
Me and my friend as loader can kill the wandering vagrant before it finishes it’s signature attack. And even if we don’t the barrier we get from punching makes the bosses explosion cause a pathetic dent in our health .
You forgot that the Imp Overlord won't teleport until attacked of summoned for teleporter event. Also in the Scorched Ailes there is a high chance they will willingly walk off the map
Fun fact: you can actually stand on the alloy worship, and if your close enough to the laser eye but far enough away as to not get hit by it, so it will just spin slightly and fly up slowly, so if you are a closer ranged character such as loader, you can get an easy red item for free. How you get on the alloy worship is a different question though...
If you stand directly on a wagrant they will never shoot the sploding orb and they will never hit you with the regular attack. But well the big boom still goes boom boom
Weird that brass contraptions are so high up. Yes, they can deal a ton of damage, but their rate of fire is so low and projectile speed is so slow, that just as long as you don't stop moving, you pretty much never gonna get hit by them. Plus they only attack with 3 single shots, so one shot protection will cover for the rare occasion when you do get hit by them.
clay templars stop shooting if you get close enough to them, to charge up a knockback attack. By going in and out of their minimum range you can stay completely safe from them. Important for early in the run, as well as any time against Blazing Clay Templars.
To anyone watching after the anniversary update, the beetle queen now spawns beetle guards instead of normal Beatles so she is actual a bit more of a threat now (at least for me)
i rarely have a problem dealing with Alloy Worship Unit on Monsoon playing with Mercenary (and mind you i'm terrible player - obliterated only once with Mercenary & Engineer on Monsoon, i'm yet to unlock Deicide and Ethereal), and i spawn it regularly for that red item, attacking it with Mercenary's dash often causes it to crash with the terrain and it kills it instantly, it also tends to happen with Vagrants, albeit less often.

There's this one enemy I can't see here tho, it's been kicking my ass on 20 round achievement attempts, I think it's some kind of spiky whisp who puts spikes on the ground that pretty much one shot me every time, I keep falling or running into them. What are they?
those are malachite enemies (a high-tier elite.) when they hit you or you take damage from their spikes, they disable all healing for 7 or 8 seconds, not mention do a ton of damage. keep your distance & hope to get some guillotines (which execute elites at a certain threshold)

The problem with the beetle queen is the yellow item that may drop upon defeating her. It is so sad when instead of a ukulele or something else that is not useless i got one of those beetle guards. When playing multiplayer there is always someone that is like "oh f*ck i'm stuck with the beetle guard
For all my melee survivor enthusiasts, you can actually get *inside* the vagrant's explosion. You have to push up against their model, works best against their "eyes". So next time you see them charging up, go give them a big hug.
Trying to get all the skins, most runs end on the final stage, in the snow, having been one-shot by running through malecite or a load of things invisible in the (celestial?) Radius. How does help? Also is there a power spike in the 7th stage because it sure feels like it
Note: if you're playing Mercenary you can use your shift to throw the Alloy Worship Unit into the ground for massive damage, usualy killing it instantly.

The royal capacitor is the Elder Lemurian greatest nightmare, trust me, it like halves their HP when you blast them with it, just get a fuel cell and they're easy as shit
