Guided By Voices - Hold on Hope 

The director/creator of Scrubs often encouraged the actors/actresses to choose songs they wanted to be at the end of episodes. His wife (who plays Jordan) actually picked a whole freaking bunch of the songs. So I thank her dearly for introducing me to such amazing music and so many bands that have led me to other bands i love as well.

I really never thought I would like Scrubs. Boy, was I wrong. The show is great. Plus, they use great music in the show! I love it! :)

Saw thier blistering set in Louisville Kentucky (circa '91), @ Phoenix Hill Tavern in the outstanding Bardstown Road/Highlands area of that great town. After the show, I bought Bob several drinks and we just chilled and had a fantastic conversation about life and songwriting. I will never forget that moment. THANK YOU, SIR!!!

I first heard this on Scrubs and though it was great. Yes, it is of course more than just a song from the show, but fans of Scrubs can't be blamed for associating it with the show. The song rules; so does Scrubs.

Actually, he just gets diagnosed with Leukemia. At the end of the next episode, it says he responded to chemo and went home. The guest spot playing his friend is Brendan Fraser.

Usually the producers pick the songs but in some cases it's Zach Braff who helps choosing it, like in "My Screw Up", he chose "Winter" from Joshua Radin.

scrubs is an american sitcom about a bunch of doctors at a hospital. it's actually pretty funny for a while, then it gets old and dies, much like the patients at the hospital.

Great song. Glen campbell does an amazing job on this song also.

It's usually the producers, if you watch some of the DVD extra's they go through it. But I think Zach picks some of it.

"Zoo Pie" is probably the low point of DTC. "In Stitches" is pretty lousy until Doug's guitar solo. Some really great songs on that album, though.

Well the producer/director (I can't think of which deals with this stuff x_x) has been quoted saying he likes to pick songs that aren't well known, that he likes, to be in the show to give them some publicity that he feels they deserve, so it's not like it's shocking to find that so many people on here are here from Scrubs, just as I am, though I will admit that having a bunch of people commentingon a song you like just because of a show is fucking annoying as Hell.

Robert Pollard, it should be noted, is completely and utterly embarrassed by this song, as are most of the hardcore GBV fanbase. That said...I like it, too. It sure as heck ain't Pollard-like, but it's a nice song.

Stop talking about Scrubs. Christ, nine out of ten songs they use on that programme are complete and utter shit, this being one of the few exceptions
