Incredible. As a longtime GBV super fan (seen them 30+ times since the 90s live), I am concerned with the recent trend in their setlists. I hope anyone connected to the band will read this and take it seriously. I think I am not alone in this and curious if others agree. First off, love the new stuff. It's amazing. Keep playing it all of it. My problem is Bob seems to think he needs to play the same classics now every single show. These are obv epic great songs, but there are just dozens and dozens of classics being lost to time without being played. Would be great if they just tossed in a couple of these from time to time. Crap even some of the stuff he has recorded with the new band! (Brides). Think about it this way - Bruce Springsteen doesn't play Jungleland or even Thunderroad every night. The Grateful dead did not play Sugar Magnolia or Scarlet Begonias every night. Bob's catalog DWARFS theirs! Mixing it up, which they used to do more of, keeps hard core fans coming back for more. Toss in a Large Hearted Boy once in a while, or Propellor. I can list 20 of my fav GBV songs they have not played in a few years (and listing fav GBV songs is a funny thing as any fan knows!!!). Anyway ... I don't mean to bitch and sound like some whiny ass fan. I love GBV ... Lets Rock!
