Gareth Griffiths (aka GG) from Barry in Wales sits at the top of the tree as one of, if not THE most prolific big fish anglers in the UK. With a British record and a Welsh record fish to his name, in recent years, GG has been offering guided shore fishing experiences with resounding success. Of course, nothing is guaranteed in angling but GG has proved time and time again that he will work his socks off to put his customers in the right spot and help them catch the fish of their dreams.
Hookpoint editor Grant Jones and videographer Ben Conway caught up with GG for a day's fishing, beginning at dawn at his local stamping ground in South Wales, then heading onto the craggy West Wales coast for the evening. The fishing was far from electric but GG showed that, even at this tricky time of year, he has no trouble tracking down quality fish and working out how to tempt them from their lairs.
