+GSmaniamsmart Noob question. How do I get the ascended gear? I have played PvP the last 3 seasons and have never done it. Do I need 2b 500 in crafting? Ascended shards? Do I need the GMaster Tailor Marks? and if so how do I get them?
Forgot to mention the new mechanic "Barrier". WP made a video about it. Here are the bullet points. It appears as extra health points you can have. Once applied, it constantly diminish on it's own, so it must be applied situationaly. If you have barrier, you won't loose health, unless all barrier is naturally diminished or damaged away. When you deal damage to an enemy's barrier, the damage numbers appear (currently) in Yellow instead of white. If the damage is bigger that the remaining barrier, the health will receive the remaining damage. The maximum amount of barrier you can have depends on your Vitality. The volume of barrier you can apply, depends on your Healing. This mechanic will not be exclusive on PoF, and will be added in retrospect to old builds, like the Earth attuned Elly.
so does that mean we have to have the set first before the patch or are if we get the set after the patch from pvp and still turn it into legend stats?
I would love if they add true legendary armor into pvp that you have to work for.. i would love to have the FoW armor from gw 1 added as legendary armor.. add some cool effects to it if you have to... but id love to have my old mesmer armor from gw 1.

It's already unfair with WvW when u have Hot players with stronger skills compared to F2p people, just don't be cheap and get the expansions, support the game you like
Yea it's not fair I don't even have hot so if we are under attack and me and my friend are running my friend can glide away and let me did or a can jump off I'm not jumping yea it's not fair if you can a achevement in wvw sayin you can glide without hot that's fair

the fact that you can stat swap the pvp armors - which can be obtained way easier than the real legendary armor or the wvw armor - is stupid.. the other armors cost a lot of gold and dedication why would people even care about stat swapping in pvp.. you dont need stats on your armor for that
pve legendaries are there for skin , stat switching is just extra solving problems with gear stacking, also raider/PvEer does not switch sats every encounter so there is that ... aand i wont even start on the "dedication" part ....
Okay the issue I have here, are the complaints being presented by the player base. For one, the argument that gliding will discourage people from engaging in combat is a stupid one to say the least. If anything it will add to the strategy of knowing what battles you should be picking, and having a viable way of fleeing if need be. And there is no shame in fleeing, when the odds are stacked up against you. And secondly I have no sympathy for anyone who hasn't bought HoT yet. They have had their chance, but chose to complain all the same when they get left out of something that they could of had if they simply made the purchase. But not only that Anet probably know dam well if they let anyone who hasn't purchased HoT get gliding in WvW People who bought HoT will feel cheated.
Anet is going to add legendary armor into pvp/wvw. Great so now new player to those modes are even MORE underpowered and will have even lower survivability. Typical for competitive MMO. An ever smaller echo chamber of people feeding on themselves and driving everyone else away.
lol!!!! the benefits are minor, all it is is swapping stats inbetween matches, so you dont need multiple armors. new players are automatically boosted/scaled up. read before you post!
