For anyone like myself who just bought the game (PoF), used a booster and made a beeline for the mounts only to find themselves a little lost by the how to get a Raptor part - press "H" to bring up the hero tab, then click the star icon "Story journal" then select "Path of Fire" there should be a "Begin this story" option, then just follow the big green marks on the map, you will end up doing a mission which involves putting out fires etc, after doing that you will be able to buy the Raptor from one of the NPC's that gave you the extinguisher ( as pictured in the vid ).
Nah rangers get pets which are a different thing than mounts. Mounts are account bound and once you unlock them on one char all your chars can use them.
Thank you for making the time to put this video together! This video really helped me a LOT. The speed run to the Jackal vendor was a little bit of a pain to follow. I had to set the video down to .25 speed, mute the audio as I was doing it on another machine at the same time! However, you provided tons of super helpful information I had no idea about. I've been playing GW2 on again off again since 2012 in testing and played in the of Fire but had only gotten to canyon jumping. Having all this information here was perfect!

You can get to the jackal heart with just springer level 1; theres a path out into the sulphur that looks like it would kill you but it doesnt and it gets you close enough that you can run across fast on the springer and hop up. Just run around the platform looking for it, it is easy to find when you are looking for it.
This is hands down the most rock solid path of fire mount guide I've seen on youtube . Thumbs up if I could give this video 5 likes I would but unfortunately I can only give it one.
Thank you for showing the route to the Jackal!! I have tried 3 times to get through (in all the ways except through the route you showed lol) and have gotten destroyed every time. I will definitely try the west side to get to that jackal waypoint. EDIT: woops. I tried that same route, but got destroyed in the Ruptured Heart area forge camp. Someone else suggested waiting until level 3 skimmer so you can jump over the entire camp, so I'm going to wait till I can do that. It's near impossible to fight your way out solo if you get dismounted in the middle of the camp.
Good video; helps a lot. Note that some of the travel "requirements" like canyon jumping to get to the skimmer location are not exactly true; there are other ways. However you will want to get canyon jumping so go ahead and do that.
for those reading the comments to figure out why he hasn't uploaded, on his other channel he uploads a video talking about Hurricane Irma, which took place in 2017, was coming straight to hit him in flordia. he hasn't uploaded on any of his channels since the event of the storm. i ran into his channel from the video game side. so sad to hear about this. his content looked great. i asked myself if this guy was still making videos as his guides were good and genuine to an audience. Thank you been play GW2 for a couple of years now and also bought path of fire and heart of thorns I have my dragon but really need my springer and now you showed me how thank you for the video I find of thorns a real challenge just trying to get to certain places because I go solo no guild. It's because I play at all hours of a day and sometimes on all day. Love the game. I have three avatars all level 80 all female. starting to buy them outfits so they look real good. lol
Im stuck looking for the mastery points i cant find em or get to em with the raptor. where are em? i cant make the jump in the video i cant find the mastery points i cant go forward in the missions cause i need the other mount to continue.
I don't know if I should get back into GW2 or get into Black Desert... they both look so good and GW changed so much since 2016 (when I played it). The decision is killing meee
One thing you didn’t mention is what level you have to be to get the mount. I’m a beginner, just purchased the game last month (appropriately timed I guess with the quarantine situation going on) and don’t know much but I’m guessing most ppl on here must be really high level or something. So many ppl seem to have mounts.
you have to get path of fire expansion which comes with a level 80 boost. create a new toon and use that boost on it and then start path of fire. once you do the first mission raptor will be given to you and you can use it on all accounts.
Hey Zaan, I personally don't know Gaming with GS, other than his other channels. With that said, I thoroughly enjoy watching his GW2 videos. However, as you can see it has almost been a year since his last posted video, as this spiked my curiosity I decided to investigate. My first thought was he was one of the many claimed victims of hurricane Irma, after looking through a lot of Florida obituaries I found zero results. So after a few more hours of searching with a lot of dead end leads I had finally stumbled upon one with my last attempt. Now, provided I will not reveal any of his real information I can assure the rest of the community that he is live and well from my observations. I do not know much more than that or of his reasoning's of why the channels were left as they were. Hopefully one day we'll be provided with this clarity and with this settling a large part of the community concerns of his whereabouts.
You will need to unlock the mount first before it becomes available on all your characters, Path of Fire is level 80 only, so you either need a level 80 character to unlock the mount or you need to use the level 80 booster that you get when buying the PoF expansion, once you have unlocked the mount you can go back to a level 1 character and use the mounts :),

A lot of new players have no idea what you're talking about some times, like how do we get mastery points, how does one obtain enough gold easily, is there an optimal way to lvl up mounts, how does one get trade contracts... there is just so much you're not explaining
If you go to his channel page, all of those questions and a LOT more are addressed, and in a way that is easy to understand, including directions to which order to watch.
You forgot about skyscale which is always part of the pof expansion (pof storyline + living world season 4) although it requires completion of the living world season 4 storyline and a longer collection than the griffon (which includes needing access to some living world season 3 maps). edit: there are two achievements connected to collecting carrots: 1. for collection of all the tasty carrots (I think there are 24 maybe more) from various locations 2. for golden carrots (I think there are only 10). As of 2019-2020 gaming season, Skimmers can go underwater (and be mounted underwater) and you have to get silver on an adventure that is in lions arch Correction: you can do the jackal heart quest without having the skimmer or bunny. I know from personal experience.
Paid 52 euros for the game when it was brought out.. Now it's free, and I have to buy the DLC to stop b*tching when I see a mount running past me in seconds...
Please shorten the intro you don’t need to say all that stuff about subscribing or joining if people like your stuff they 100% will whether you tell them all that or not. It makes it more likely they won’t make it through past the intro
and now that I am trying out Guild Wars 2, their craft function, black smith function and so on is like .... thirty years old. They need to get rid of that. Oh and the fact the game company should offer people a free mount at the beginning of the game. Having to run around to much is degrading as hell, providing the fact you have to go out of your way to find waypoints....which degrades the game as well.
