I like the Mesmer and I really want to like the Mirage but it makes combos klunky because its mostly buried within interactions ... Also love the Spellbreaker :D
Was waiting for this, great video and very informative for those who have yet to try or decide towards an elite spec. Ty! Edit : would like to point out a typo in the description. You wrote Renegage instead of Renegade. Cheers!
There's a *lot* you're missing on the mesmer elite spec, but you also seem to be judging it from a pure PvE perspective. While it's still probably outshined by Chronomancer, there's a lot here from a PvP perspective, particularly with the dodge change. The change to this dodge opens up a lot of potential because you are now no longer interrupting actions with your dodge. This means that you can dodge while stomping and casting, similar to using distortion.
Great video. @GS I feel the new Mesmer DOES offer something no other class can do. No one can tell the difference between the clone and the Mesmer. SO I am thinking it will be a huge pain in PVP and possibly WVW. As it can also interfere with people an as like 98% of all GW2 casual players i look to try them all. However, I am most excited for new Guardian, Necro and Ranger and if I do not like them there is always HOT specialization or vanilla style. Hope to see you do a guide sometime soon on gear sets the differences and pros and cons.
Every developer always says a new class/profession is not OP. But they are in the business of selling expansions. "Give us $50 and we will give you some new profs that make you feel about as powerful as you were before spending the money" is not quite as persuasuve as making the new profs be somewhat more powerful.
i wish i got engineer with full hp point . the gameplay for the holosmith are very similar to the reaper but the reaper still got the slide advantage on him i had a very good deuls vs holosmith as scourge but i kept losing to him until i switched to the reaper and the table were flops on him eventually
Sounds like 50 to 75% of the classes you were "disappointed in" was due to your pre conceived ideas and nothing to do with the class the game play. Shame each and every one of the classes are HEAD AND SHOULDERS above what came out in HOT. As you said tho, now there are 3 ways to play each class. I hope the team at GW2 keeps this going.
Yes, I agree, most of my disappointment was from my expectations, but nonetheless I am sure I'll be playing 75% of the classes and end up enjoying them :)
They need to upgrade the spell animations to black desert online quality.. That is all, they change spells but in the end all classes basically get the same shit.. Animations!
I am disappointed too.. main is engi and the only new elite i like is holo (thank god) . The others bored me after 20 min playing.. dunno but not rly hyped this time.. to much condi based stuff and i rly hate the condi meta.. Im mostly in wvw and i think its just to powerful.. that was disappointing as well.. not excited that much for this addon.
its strong for sure.. but we will see what happens when the addon is real and no demo anymore. so lets wait... in my opinion is that condi shit out of control.
Said urself you didnt play them long.... except guardian. me too, played guardian and weaver quite a bit, and skipped through the others cus I don't really know the classes very well... just fess up GSmania, lol.
