Super Adventure Box - World 2 Zone 2 - Pain Cliffs
Thorough walkthrough of the
- 42 baubles you need to get Bachelor of Baubles, World 2,
- 9 hidden rooms for Bachelor of Secrets, World 2,
- assassins for Becoming A Master &
- Eagle Shortcut for Wings of Justice.
You can get upgrades for Major in Enhancement achievement in this zone.
- Skill #1 upgrades to nunchucks!
- Skill #8 upgrades to 15% chance to dig baubles
You will need flute (from W2Z1), bomb & health potions to run this. You only need to buy these items ONCE. :)
Do this in Infantile Mode to make it less painful :P
For Bachelor of Baubles, World 2 you will need to get all the baubles in ONE RUN.
The number of assassins in the Gong Pagoda after Checkpoint #9 seems to vary.

Señor Duck11: The only thing they changed was the Clouds and Assassins. Baubles are the same. Me and my wife were able to get all the achievements using your guide. But We had to back track for the extra Assassins. You didn't miss a single Bauble.
ivory7777 : There is a Bauble on the last bridge before boss. Drop the bridge with Push and grab it then talk to Betty Bauble.
Also note that before you end the level there is this female NPC always before the boss. If you talk to her, she will let you know that you have gotten all the bubbles or not.

Super Adventure Box was activated on April 1st and playable for rest of the month.
You will be given 5 lives. If you use up all 5, you will be ported into a special chamber where you are tied up and have to face Moto. If you have a Continue Coin, you can continue where you left off.
If you don't and you are not in a group, you will be kicked out to Rata Sum and have to start over. You can buy Continue Coins from Moto at 50 Baubles a piece, which is twice as expensive as the vendor outside in Rata Sum).
If you are in a group and don't have a Continue Coin, you will be kicked out to Rata Sum but you can zone in, die and then get ported to the latest checkpoint your group has activated.
Continue Coin are a random drop from chests and jumping puzzle chests all around Tyria. You can also buy one for 25 Baubles from either Moto or the vendor in Rata Sum.

Works in 2024. Some notes; * the exploration (infantile) mode clouds are different. What used to be "just walk on happy rainbows to back track" has been been replaced with "figure out how to hop on clouds and cliffs backwards" * Make sure to start this with at least ~35 baubles on hand otherwise you won't be able to get the key without digging around for a bit * Count the baubles yourself after you get each one. I failed to get all the baubles in W2-Z3 3 different times because I seemed to be missing one. It helped for doing this one for sure. Thx Ayin.

2022 Bauble update: You cannot backtrack to the shortcut after activating Checkpoint #7 15:36 to get the Baubles ontop the pillars at 30:10 But you need to get to the secret shop behind it to get the key for chest #2.. You can jump from the left edge of Checkpoint #7 to the clouds below and then reach the secret shop by climbing the mountain Buy the key, jump off and respawn at checkpoint #6 (the key stays) Open the chest and respawn, from Checkpoint #6, run all the way back to the shortcut, take it and collect the Baubles Respawn, your new checkpoint will be Checkpoint #10 26:51 Now you can always run back to the Checkpoint #8 17:23 area and continue the video from there

@@josephking3726 He means the pillar bit after checkpoint 7, there arent any infantile clouds anymore, the infantile clouds show you the cloud shortcut that basicly brings you to the boss instantly. When you go over the pillars you cant go back in either of those ways ive just mentioned so you are stuck at the end having everything except the shortcut eagle baubles.

OKAY FOR PEOPLE DOING THIS IN 2021: 1. DO IT IN INFANTILE MODE, IT IS REQUIRED TO GET ALL THE BAUBLES SINCE A CLOUD IS REQUIRED TO GET BACK TO THE SHORT CUT! 2. ALL THE BAUBLES ARE STILL THE SAME AS THE VIDEO. 3. SOME CLOUDS HAVE BEEN REMOVED BUT IT IS STILL EASY TO DO EVEN WITHOUT THE ONES WHICH GOT REMOVED. 4. BECOME THE MASTER ACHIEVEMENT (KILLING ALL ASSASSINS) HAS CHANGED. 5. FOLLOW THIS VIDEO UP UNTIL 30:40. 6. CHECKPOINT 12 IN THIS VIDEO IS NOW CHECKPOINT 13. A NEW CHECKPOINT 12 WAS ADDED AT THE BOTTOM OF THE ICY HILL WHERE YOU HIT THE GONG TO GET TO THE FINAL BOSS. 7. YOU NEED TO USE 2 CLOUDS TO GO FROM THE ICY HILL AND GET AROUND TO THE NEW CHECKPOINT 12, THEN ACTIVATE IT. ONCE YOU HAVE DONE THAT GO TO THE NEW CLOUD AREA IN FRONT OF YOU AND YOU WILL FIND THE LAST ASSASSINS ON THERE. YOU WILL FIND 7 WHITE ASSASSINS AND 3 RED ASSASSINS. THEN YOU HAVE THE ACHIEVEMENT FOR KILLING THEM ALL.

Did this in normal mode. Found out near the end that you need to go back to the shortcut. You can go far back a bit, but not all the way back, quite dismayed that it was not given a bigger warning... "less painful" does not mean that you cannot go back. It just means that it is easier to do. It is a bit outdated it seems

Annotations have been deleted by youtube so u cant see the big warnings i had at the beginning anymore. Also, I put all the timers in description so if ur just looking for shortcut, u can click on the timer n go straight there. I will put up a pin and hopefully ppl will see that.

Yeah, I did it on normal mode with the written guide at first and spent hours only to find out you can't get back to the shortcut to finish the last baubles without the happy cloud rainbows. I'm using the video this time around on infantile mode.

You HAVE to play Infantile mode to get all baubles, as there's a one-way jump early on (6:06, just after the flower launcher past the shortcut eagle).

thanks very much for the videos, I couldnt of done it without them! just got one more to do - world 2, zone 3. still works in 2018, apart from the extra assassins in the cloud area (just after the section with the single bauble with all the spike traps. Some of the clouds also different too.

PSA: it is possible to get bauble #42 without activating the checkpoint by climbing the ice behind the checkpoint. This is highly recommended, so that you can check your bauble completion with Betty while you still have checkpoint 10. Any higher checkpoints will make it impossible to go back to the beginning of the zone.

Got both achievements in infantile mode today! *Remember there are some assasins in the ooze farmer area (There are some clouds on the right side ahead@12:10 that lead you to that area (or from pillars - the path you return the ooze)). Also you can jump on clouds around pond pillars@17:04 & clouds below @13:41 to go back to Eagle shortcut easily. 16-Apr-2022

2023. The shortcut on the pagoda isn't there anymore, but follow the clouds instead to get to the new island of 10 assassins (DO NOT activate that next check point, type /gg after killing 10). Can also confirm we can use regular clouds around the line of pillars to backtrack OR use 2 smaller clouds to backtrack around the new checkpoint to the assassin island if you're already at that point. Using my teamscore to track assassins by not kililng anything else. Absolutly has to be done in infantile mode.

There is no cloud to activate here anymore. 12:13 It looks like you have to do the puzzle to get that bauble. 13:02 None of these clouds exist either which unfortunately messes with the rest of the route. I'm trying to follow the comment from LPTazzmani to see if it works that way. I was able to get the assassins, but there is a different island of assassins you must get to before checkpoint #7. I decided to feed piranha to the squid and then use that platform to get to the clouds to the left of checkpoint 7. I was able to jump down to the cloud island and get those then. This is definitely more tricky with some of the infantile clouds removed in various places of this zone. You will have to back track on the pillar area and get that one assassin. There are some areas where we were told to suicide, but it was actually easier not to since we were respawning from checkpoint 10 (having already done the owl shortcut). I'm now stuck at the end of the warp puzzle and trying to figure out what's the best way to go from here. I made it to the end and Betty says I haven't got all of the baubles, so that sucks. I have no clue what I could have missed.

Please NOTE! Aiyn Missed a whole island of Assassins. (Might be new) Back at the house of Blocks and Spikes. (The after you get the Glove)((The Building where you have to jump in the middle trampoline surrounded by spikes. There's a path with clouds that lead to an island surrounded by Assassins. Kill them all and you got it! PS> The reason why you won't find clouds for the 2/3 half of the video is because They changed the path for Infantile. You essentially skip everything after the House of Blocks and Spikes. It's the intended path for infantile. It's not a bug.

On my next run I got the achievement for the bubles too. I've collected all 42 in the previous run too.

I think it was just bugged (which is annoying when you are doing it step-by-step for 1.5-2 hrs. Following your guide, in the end I counted 42 baubles too.

So here was a nasty thing I discovered. I don't think you can backtrack to the Shortcut Eagle without Infantile Mode. I can't see any way back to the sumit with the eagle once you leave it. So you can't get Bachelor of Baubles if you're doing it normally.

Still relevant in 2021. Many of the happy clouds are missing but you can still get every bauble following this video. The rainbows you need to get back to the eagle shortcut for the last baubles are still there.

Video not so up-to-date as of 2020. Bauble locations are OK, but some infantile clouds were removed and you need to do some of the jumping puzzles. Also, some assassins were added to a new cloud shortcut.

There are a lot of 'help' clouds missing in the new SAB zone 2 Edit: Oké I have been walking around for quiet a bit and here is what you have to do! Instead of the rainbow clouds, they have added normal clouds which you have to jump back on. Go to the part with the poles, jump as far back as you can (till you can't jump up the high one). From here on go to your right and jump back on the clouds. Till you came back at the building with all the piranha pools. Jump back on the building. To the platform with 4 pools (where you fought the pink ninja). From here on follow the cloud trail back to the rainbow clouds. Now just follow the video instructions. It can be a little trick to find the right way. But just follow the same way as you came through. Also i'm not sure if they added new ninja's on the big clouds before the area where you land with the SHORTCUT EAGLE?(didn't see you kill them in the vid) Hope this helps!

I discovered that you can't get the achievement if your bauble wallet is full any time you collect a bauble. I had to do W2Z1 3 times to get it.

So I paused the video at the wrong time at checkpoint 11.. BUT! there are portals on the left hand side if you continue along the pillars that will take you back to checkpoint 10. I was going to cry.. but alas I was saved. :)

Yeah the clouds disappear but You can get back to the shortcut. When you're at the beams. Just look for some clouds.

yeah i was able to go around it. also i noticed they have changed few thing in latest sab version where the easy version clouds take you to different and shorter path with extra enemies. those extra enemies might count under killing all ninja achievement.

Probably long after an answer would do you any good, but according to a dev (Josh Foreman) the idea here was that you would come back after getting a glove upgrade on World 3. Since W3 didn't happen, this is just an artifact/easter egg. Note that Josh is not with Anet any longer, so if they did something with this in the meantime, he might not have known about it.

Damn, shit took me like 2 hours... and I still didn't get all that assassins somehow... Really made the last part hard 29:00 because the rainbow clouds stopped spawning after the very first bell, not sure why.

I'm afraid this guide is too much outdated now. many of the clouds are not there anymore. They changed the level too much since your video was done. *sad*
