Dwight Johnson guile is crazy strong in the street fighter anime he wrecks ryui in a bar fight then beats ken so bad he ends up in the hospital when he fights him to try and get him back for beat ryu up
Zangief has more raw lifting power but Guile has greater combat strength faster more accurate punches, hitting the right areas at the right angle, he delivers more force with his attacks.
its plot, Ryu and ken are main characters. in reality all fighters have a chance against each other. sure guile is stronger than Chun li but she is faster and more agile. same goes for Zangief compare to guile
of course, it's a realistic way to turn the fight in guile's favor instead of the typical hero moment of power where he starts winning for no actual reason
originally they wanted to make it just like street fighter 2 the animated movie, with adult ken Ryu and Chun Li, but instead we got this. It's still good, don't get me wrong. the second best street fighter anime, anything after this was pure garbage.
That's street fighting for ya. No rules,just plain ol survival instinct, you either kill or get killed, or severely cripple your opponent, damn even weapons can be used in a street fight ex: Vega and Cody.

Just like kung fu, a lot of our moves has groin kicks, sneak atacks, fingers to the eyes, etc That's why in a tournament has rules, because someone could dye otherwise
At least he won a fight unlike in the movie. He even beat Ryu and Ken. This series is more realistic so soldiers in the military dont have time for KI I guess.

Guile has the best fights in the series. He has great techniques. I love how he manages to use Zangief's weight against him with some throws. He's a big guy but Zangief dwarfs him. Interesting to see Guile's tactics to overcome Zangief's size and strength.
it was kind of a unfair that guile never got any good fights during street fighter 2 the animated movie, he played a vital role and fought well but even E-honda had more fights than him. this was great. would have been cool if Guile at least had a warm up fight with chun li when she tried to stop him from going after Bison alone.
Yeah he was robbed. Glad they remedied that a little in street fighter 2 V. I like that he kicked the crap out of young Ryu in the beginning of the series. Which is alright because I’m sure as Ryu grows as a fighter he will get him back with a good match.
Actually one of the writers said although Zangief isn't a true bad guy, he could never beat him as a kid, and he thought Zangief would feel remorse for being to hard on the player
at 3:20 if Guile is a Japan guy in the end win the "power challange" (because is in anime the Japan guys is much straingt of everyone) but Guile is American guy and back roll up for escape 😂😂😂😂
How could you possibly loose when you're over 7 feet tall and 256 pounds? Zangief's weight in this video looks much more than 250 pounds. Pause at 4:05 He looks like he is 300 pounds! And pause at 1:00 Is it me or is Zangief a bit of a tower? I like his look in this video. In the new street fighter games, they make him look lame
