Guitar Cover - "Do You Wanna Dance" - The RAMONES 

Thanks man! I initially tried to move around more in these covers, but quickly found how easy it is to jump out of frame or end up standing in a bad spot... probably too annoying for a guitar cover. Maybe if I get to play these songs on stage some day I can do the proper jumps and spins, ha. Something about the energy the guys put into their performances really came through in the sound of the music.

@@Ernie05131968 The video footage is filmed with a Sony a7 III Mirrorless camera and a good amount of lighting equipment. The guitar is recorded directly into Logix X with a U-Phoria UMC1820 audio interface

@@Ernie05131968 Thanks! I am lucky enough to already own some nice equipment for passion projects like this, because I work in video production professionally. It is worth noting that a pricey audio interface isn't necessary to record one guitar, it's just what I already have. Any interface that works will do just fine. The camera is also not as important as having good lighting! I don't even film these videos with the most expensive camera I own, because so long as the lighting is good, the image will generally look good. I mostly just used the Sony a7 III to film because it has really nice autofocus, but even a modern smartphone camera will produce VERY nice quality with good lighting and the right camera settings. Check out channels like Epic Light Media for some great videos on lighting!

I'm just playing along to the 40th Anniversary Tracking Mix, and I used EQ to scoop out some of the mids and make the original guitar quieter.

You basically just want a classic cranked Marshall amp sound, distorted but not too much. The power comes from the downstrokes and barre chords, especially the way he always frets the low E string in every chord.I recommend looking up any info you can find for achieving a "Marshall sound" on your specific amp model, because I wouldn't really know. Notably, most things designed for a early-mid 70s style lead tone are chasing that sound.
