We have to remember that factory EVH guitars haven't been around that long. Many a guitar were poorly painted to emulate our hero.

I've never seen so many terribly decorated guitars (before restoration) as I've seen on this channel. Who does this? Is this a style in this country? Where is this, Japan? That's my first guess from watching a previous video with a Takuya styled guitar. Great work though. I haven't seen one that I didn't like. Maybe the black strat just because of the miss matched hardware but it still looked good. You have good taste. Keep it going. Edit: That's a real Fender! It's a crime to vandalize a guitar like that but to do it to a genuine Fender should be a capital offense. God bless you for restoring it.

Perfect restoration as always. What is the product you used to strip off the red paint (Paint Remover - ニッペ ペイント塗料はがし剤) ? It did not damage the clear under the red. I need something like this for my 1965 Fender Mustang. Any thing like this in the USA?

Las restauraciones de las guitarras son muy buenas quedan impecables, pero definitivamente lo peor de los videos son la parte final con las pruebas de sonido, hermano disculpame que te lo diga asi, pero deberías dejarle las pruebas de sonido a otra persona que sepa tocar bien, porque las cuerdas hay que tocarlas no golpearlas, y tenés una técnica bastante mala, eso hace que el video sea estupendo la primera parte de la limpieza, pero el final es horripilante con esas pruebas que suenan mal, es sólo un consejo, o mejor intentá mejorar tu técnica, asi las pruebas finales quedan más presentables

I have one of these guitars and the thought of putting a crap EVH paint job on one just so you can look cool in your mirror is sacrilege and disgusting! They're beautiful rare Strats that should be appreciated not hacked on!

I liked the before look...just needed a humbucker ❤‍🩹EVH😉Seriously though, many original Fenders were 'personalized' beyond recognition back before 'Vintage mania' much to the horror of modern day collector & coveters .it really IS just a hunk of wood, to do whatever thou wilt. These guitars had personality and utility in their 'before' states & tell a story of creative individualism. The restoration process is a fascinating exercise, and an example of the durability of these guitar's elements and their utility.

Where do you find these broken guitars?

The amount of people I have seen mess up great guitars by trying to be Van Halen is almost embarrassing to say.
