Chris Adler is/was one of my favorite all time drummers. I cannot even watch this reaction without you knowing who wrote these drums. LoG would not be where they are today without him.. musical or from a business aspect. No one on this planet would have been as CLEVER as Chris to riff the way he did.
Man it’s crazy to be in half time on top of playing syncopation for just 2 bars and back into the groove. Chris Adler was a mad man but Art Cruz is keeping up with what Adler wrote. Both are insane drummers.
Super excited you did a LOG reaction. You’ll love these guys, given your enjoyment of metal music. They have easily been the best metal act in the game since 2005. Hope you and your boy enjoy the show tomorrow!
I think that's a bold claim but they were awesome in the 00s. Ashes is such an amazingly produced album, i still think of it as one of the best sounding metal albums I have heard.
My old band used to do a cover of this song and my drummer nailed it every time. The crowd always lost their minds when we played it. One of my favorite LOG songs!
You’re a stud😂😂 Your boys will NEVER forget this experience. Learning to appreciate so many different genres of music is more important than most people realize. My 22 year old frequently thanks me for introducing him to everything from metal to classical and everything in between. It cool to be able to share the love of music together.
Chris Adler will always be one of my favorite drummers for what he did with LoG for his many years in the band. Unlike so many other drummers when it came to their peak. I will say that ART does an amazing job playing these songs and writing on their new albums. It's funny because his kit live actually looks a lot like what Chris had set up.
2002 at the original Masquerade in Atlanta. A 15 dollar show. Lamb of God, Eighteen Visions, Five Point O, and Mushroomhead. My ears are still ringing. lol
Got a chance to witness Lamb Of God in 2018 opening for Slayer on their final tour. One of the best live bands I've ever seen! Art Cruz is a monster drummer, influenced by Chris Adler but with his own personal flare. LoG is such a fantastic band, really my gateway into the realm of death metal!
Awesome video!! So glad I found you. I was 19 (37 now 🥴) when Randy crowd served over me with a bottle of Jim in his hand. Pretty sure I’ve never heard anyone play drums like Chris to this day. Aside from Danny, obvi.
Great vid but missed opportunity not being able to see jason richardson on guitar for this channel, probably one of the best technical guitarists in the world.
fuck yeah mike. i wouldn't have guessed about you man. but you're tough as fuck. hell yeah brother. lamb of god rules. i've never heard someone save power groove. no clue what that means but i feel it. not that all metal is this way, but lamb of god is definitely groovin.
Would love to see you check out the official guitar playthrough of Involuntary Doppelganger - Archspire. Just mind blowing musicianship. The bass playthrough of Relentless Mutation is amazing as well. Both well worth your time
LoG delivers! I’d be surprised if they’re not the highlight for you. Also - don’t miss Willie’s impossible, contorted right hand. Craziest pick hold I’ve seen.
Please do The Tragically Hip. 38 years old, opiated, she didn't know, or fiddlers green. Gordon Downey was a true poet heads and shoulders above the rest. FYI 38 years old is based on true events. Very tragic
Yeah what happened to Chris? Is Will not in the band either? As far as I knew it was Randy Blythe, Will and Chris Adler, and Mark Morton. They're from Richmond, VA which is like 40 minutes from me.
Man youtube really screwed ypu on that one, 2min long sponsored ad for some other guitar teacher at ending of video🤦♂️ awesome stuff tho always enjoy your take on things🤘
Always loved L.O.G ever since I was 14 but… Even though the drummer that took over for Chris Adler is pretty tight, it’s just not Chris Adler :/ But still killing it. Chris Adler is one of my favorite drummers of all time, and I’m a guitar player! He got me hooked when I was younger! Killadelphia will give you a good perspective of how hard they went in the early 2000’s. L.O.G will always hold a special place in my heart and making me teach myself just because I can’t play metal on guitar I can just stick with blues 😅.
There’s a whole playlist of “drums only” of the album Sacrament on RU-vid. It might not be around anymore but, DAMN. That shit was nice to listen to. Surprisingly not super hard to play on guitar with drop D. Seems intimidating at first but not everything is as hard as it seems, despite the timing. (For all you metalheads out there).
Dont get me wrong, Art is a very very very good drummer but Chris Adler was a god on drums. Something feels missing these days without Chris in the band and it slightly bugs me that he is being forgotten considering he played on the overwhelming majority of their albums which includes their best albums. Again, Art is really really good and probably the best replacement they could have gotten but he still doesnt have the feel Chris had. Do yourself a favor and look up Chris Alder's modern drummer sessions.
Vinny Paul would be livid if he knew Pantera was touring. He blamed Phil for dimebag. Phil actually tried to do this when he was alive. He was not having it. They were never able to repair the relationship even though Phil and the drummer tried on multiple occasions. Vinny would not be OK with this, absolutely not!
@@m.richards6947 so one member changes and Phil quitz dope but think it will turn out better???? 😅 grow up kid u recorded the tracks? Far more important and period difficult. But i bet u cant even play so whatever yes???
Watch the clip of Vinne say " f no aint no pantera without dime, f zach the queer wild." And yea against scotty ld take him over that gay viking lord Zak any damn day but truth is truth. Vinnie needs $$$ so yea go see turdtera if u wanna but be honest. I thought u play southern boy? Weak son. Weak. Plus if Phil aint in smack no moe he cant even pull it off. Ur going to a neurtered clan rally boy
