I first saw Michael perform One Sweet Day with Daryl Ong, Budakel and Katrina Velarde. I believe that cover went viral as it was outstanding- better than the original version.

Nice objective review and reaction. The lead vocal is Michael Pangilinan, whom you reacted to before in their cover of "One Sweet Day". Now this "Rainbow" song was originally sung by South Border, one of the many Filipino bands that became popular in the mid or late 90's as far as I can recall. They were sort of more inclined to music with pop and R&B vibes.

I totally understand, man. I'm an avid Jeff Beck, Steely Dan or that type of music listener all my life, but I hear something phenomenal, my eyes lit up and I stop whatever tf I'm doing and just listen. It's not everyday I discover someone so great as Morissette esp with all the mediocrity being passed off as special talent these days.

When you mentioned Babyface I was pleasantly surprised and thought "Yeah! I agree with that!" The sound is reminiscent of but just updated enough to be a "now" sound too. Instruments are as epic as the vocals. Thumbs up to you Ellis plus you even mentioned other Asian artists of like that I listen too as well. Now am curious to check out your playlist.
