The hiwatt is obviously the better amp because of it being a hiwatt..I've never heard a bad one, but they're also not cheap..for what the ibanez is, and at the price, I think it's phenomenal..gear doesn't make the player; a good player can make basically anything sound great..minus anything that is line 6
Did I mention out of tune crap guitar. My Axe Fx emulates the Hiwatt. Super touch sensitive and Lilly clean to full on balls..! Perfect for say ..maybe a rock opera..? With a good Les Paul or Strat it defines Boutique..!

Set the eq to 12 o clock on each and try it again :) like dude I've played several small gigs with the 15w head version of the ibanez and the amp is fantastic :)
Do not read the comments. Jesus people are arseholes. These guys are obviously not pro guitarists. They are just having a bit of fun with a couple of affordable valve amps. FFS the amps sounded pretty close to how they'd sound in most homes or rooms - music stores notwithstanding. No fancy post-production, just amateur fun. Cheers lads. I'm looking at a T20 combo as a clean pedal platform. Might be ok. Good luck with your guitar playing.
Why I appreciate your efforts, you didn't do either amp justice. THe TSA has far more capability in the cleans then you got out of it, and is far superior to the Hiwatt for anything overdriven.
you should take more guitar classes, and then learn a bit more about amps and valves (the diference between 6L6 / EL84 for example). After that, take MORE guitar classes, and then make tests :)
your guitar isn't out of tune, you play very well, you deserve to have that technology and time at your disposal to make the video,you did not waste my time and expectations; and most important, you got beautiful hair

I think you seriously need to tune your guitar next time and play with the settings more so we can here what they can both do with optimal tweaked settings. Not cussing just saying!
Lol who gives a shite what gauge strings I use. It's like complaining my plectrum is too thin. Every guitarist is entitled to use what ever gear they want without having to be shackled to someone else's opinion. It's also what helps create every guitarists personal tone and style. Maybe we should be clones and then guitar based music will become as banal as modern pop music .....
There's nothing good about this demo at all, apart from the Edwards Les Paul, and you need to A: Learn to play and B: Tune the fucker! As someone said earlier, they should fly you guys out to demo these amps at NAMM, but drop you off en route....somewhere Mid-Atlantic maybe?
