You can buy these on ebay. I had bleeding gums for years. I started using these and I have not had a problem since. They do need to be replaced regularly. I use instead of floss as when they are new I find they can go between my teeth and are gentler on my gums than floss. After a few weeks the bristles become too bendy to do this and I replace the brush. I brush my teeth normally the quickly blot around. I feel around with my tongue then go over any bits where I can still feel plaque. I find blotting particularly good for removing plaque from the very back of my back teeth where it is hard to brush. My dentist was impressed with the improvement of my gums but when I told him what I was doing he dismissed it and said they had probably improved because I was spending more time on them. This was to be expected. I find that the majority of the medical profession are reluctant to even consider anything that was not in their training.
Could you tell me what they are called on ebay? I see they are called Plaque Pickers on a website and are sold in Australia but I would like to see the ones from ebay. Thank you. Are you still using them?
I've been using blotting brushes for over 25 years. They are better than brushing from my perspective. I was taught by my teacher who was taught by his teacher in India. It's an ancient practice. They used to use sticks to stimulate the gums to prevent them from receding as well as from harmful bacterial growth as when you blot saliva is stimulated which helps with digestion as well as maintaining the proper bacteria in the mouth. I didn't go to the dentist for over five years. When I finally went the dentist was surprised it was so long as my teeth were in great shape. I asked the dental hygienist who cleaned my teeth what condition they were in regarding plaque as I hadn't been to a dentist is so many years. Her response was "whatever you are doing, keep doing it!" So I shall.
Have you tried a plaque tablet to see the results compared to ordinary brushing. That brush looks very similar to an ordinary toothbrush... could it be a genuine one?
I love mine! Even tho the process is decades old, it’s so innovative💚The brushes seem to unearth and absorb plaque. You’ll notice an influx of fresh saliva and an overall clean feeling after each use ✔️
@@kathrynhogan9273 the question is, what is “correctly”? 😆 I think that’s why most of us are here is to figure out what the correct way to use them is 🧐
@@HeyMariahAnne totally understand that✔️the video is grainy and Incomplete . I Tapp along the gum line, not pressing too hard, and basically just allow the brush to absorb the plaque in the smoother areas like under the tongue along the inner cheeks and I do a sweeping Motion -from the back of the tongue towards the tip. Then I rinse the brush thoroughly altho many don’t. Tapping The brush on the sink surface-after rinsing brings even chia seeds to the surface so they can also be rinsed down the drain.
