I make a habit of emailing my representatives here in Indiana and let them know the most important thing they can do for me and every citizen in Indiana is to protect all of our rights. My rights come before bridges, roads, sidewalks, street lights, sewers, etc., etc., etc. What is my most cherished right our founding fathers conceived? Its the Second Amendment and no others. It protects all the other rights.

In my personal opinion, the second amendment is far and above the absolute most important amendment to the constitution. Without 2A, you HAVE no other rights. The government would have the ability to strip away all freedoms and liberties and would be accountable to no-one.
Excellent point about guns not being a top issue for people. I know a lot of “gun” people who say the same thing it’s not their main issue like it is for me. I won’t vote for someone who’s anti gun idc what side they’re on if they support gun control I won’t vote for them. Gday from Australia, I wish we had a form of the 2a, our gun rights are non existent as you know, you can get them, but it sure isn’t a right. Our government punishes law abiding licensed shooters rather than the real threat, criminals.

Don't you guys now have issues with Bikey gangs building/using machine guns and stuff? I've heard they get recovered somewhat often in certain areas because some of these groups figured "in for a penny, in for a pound" when it comes to weaponry. I know illegal machine gun workshops like this have been popping up fairly recently in Canada now too.

I don't have a suppressor myself. I really would like to get one. Unlike Shermichael, I could care less about the tax. My problem with them is the completely ridiculous rules around them. Like not being able to leave the room if it is out and another person is there. Not even for something as silly as going to the bathroom. That or the you have to notify the ATF and get permission to move. Such absolute crap.
Actually, suppressors have less restrictions than most other NFA items. You only have to alert the ATF if you permanently move to another state. You don't need any extra paperwork to carry them over state borders otherwise.
@ChristianConstitutionalist3192 there are plenty of guides. Literally google "form 1 suppressor guide". Start with an M baffle or cone shaped design, preferably for use with .22lr. Also, google "freeze plug suppressor".
The NFA is garbage legislation my uncle remembers being able to go nto sears to buy a Tommy a 100rd drum and a suppressor for it. Buying it and walking out just like buying a lawn mower on a drill !
Shermichael is a very impressive young man. I like the way thinks. Roe vs Wade was a decision not based on a law. If congress had ever had the guts to pass a law on abortion, it’s doubtful that the Supreme Court would ever take it up. Abortion is not a constitutional right whereas the second amendment is.
The problem is that parent's shrug the responsibility of education, social acceptance, and accountability on a broken system where no teacher truly cares about their students unless they're athletes or academics, and the average is just fodder for the acceptional, pressuring the average to be something their not, and when they fail the social norm is to ridicule until that person gives up, on not only themselves but society. Thus, you see these self precipitated social tragedies.

That's exactly my point. Society and the world it created is more contempt with destructive behavior but not the results of that behavior. Like columbine. Those kids shot that school because they were more narcissistic than those who harassed them. It was the hubris of their ego that got the best of them and so they retaliated against a broken social system with what they deemed as justified.
It becomes a me against the world scenario in which the bottom rung of that social dynamic sees itself fighting the world and it was all instigated over an ego challenge between those two narcissistic groups in which the victims of the shooting win the societal battle. The shooters see themselves victorious in their battle but lose after the assault. Which is why most of them turn their guns on themselves like cowards because they don't want to give society the victory of controlling their fate.
Where the upper rung of that dynamic is seen as innocent even though they terrorized the school just as much with their social status or social merits. Like the athletes who date rape the quiet girls because they think they can get away with it. Or the teachers who called that poor girl a whore for comming out against their star athlete for assaulting her. Like in Steubenville Ohio. This is a really productive discussion! The words I hear a lot are “ I don’t understand why so many people in the US feel the need to own guns” Rather than asking the question a lot of folks who say this just turn there noses up and assume that ego is the reason.. Im sure in some cases it is but not always.

Good discussion, lots to think about. I do think that we need more pro gun education out there, I think the lack of it is more by design by the anti gunners than a true lack of effort. That being said the effort must be improved to combat that.
There needs to be consequence for these infringements. The agencies infringe with a rule they cooked in an afternoon then it takes 3 years for the courts to tell the government to stop, while they crafted an new law before the case was done to infringe again.
The one thing that gives me hope about gen z is that they are, apparently, more socially conservative and are rejecting the “trans agenda.” They are embracing religion, especially traditional Christianity… the leap from that to “hey these are rights that God gave you and you must not allow the government to steal your gifts from God,” is not a far one.
I have a simple solution! For all the politicians and wealthy donors against the Second Amendment. They need to completely give up their body guards, security details and any form of protection that their wealth and status allows them. And then walk the streets of Manhattan at night. The problem with the US is what the majority of the people want isnt what the politicians put in place. I believe what it comes down to when dealing with large significant donations from the republican side or just rich 2A advocates is the fact that it doesn't really affect them, the restrictions aren't really a restriction on them because they can buy whatever; the NFA is the prime example, they can afford countless tax stamps if the items are restricted in that regard, they can afford machine guns, they're investments to them

I agree. I'm an extremely pro-gun Marxists. If you go far enough left you get your guns back. It really bothers me to sometimes see other conservatives trying to gatekeep. Folks like myself have felt separated enough that we now have our own gun-rights groups as alternative options (SRA, John Brown Gun Club, etc...) At the end of the day we can debate economics AFTER we've secured gun rights for all. The founding fathers never specified only capitalists, or Republicans, so why should we divide ourselves upon such lines. Marx himself said "Under no pretext should arms or ammunition be surrendered by the working classes. Any attempt to disarms the Proletariat must be frustrated, by force if necessary". We gun-rights advocates need to focus on being as inclusive as possible. Our opposition has worked heavily on on this, they WILL grow beyond us if we don't adopt a similar stance.

If A Court Ruling Overturned The Heller vs DC, McDonald vs Chicago, NYSRPA vs Bruen, Or ANY Other Pro-2A Ruling Then That Ruling Would Be Null And Void As Far As I'm Concerned; This Also Applies To Any Future SCOTUS Rulings. Any Court Ruling That Goes Against The Constitution Is Automatically Null And Void. Any Judge Or Justice That Rules Against The Constitution Is Guilty Of Treason; This Goes For The SCOTUS Justices That Ruled Against Heller, McDonald, And NYSRPA.
As far as I can tell, the privatized means by which people acquire arms is strictly traditional. A publicly subsidized means of firearms distribution would be the more plain faced reading of the second amendment. One may sooner keep and bear arms if those arms are given to one as a matter of birthright and the regulation of the militia may be as simple as mandatory training minimums.

I wish they would come out with a 12 shot mini-Hellcat in .380 called the Bobcat. About the same size as the SW Bodyguard .380...just use a double stack magazine for 11 - 12 rounds cap. I carry 2 Hellcats. I'd use the .380 for the backup...to the backup...to the prime gun. I won't use a .380 for my prime gun, but would as a backup. I had a Glock 42 .380, made in America. Worst gun I ever owned. Constant jams every 2 to 3 rounds. Tried 5 types of ammo...all the same...jams! And this was pre-covid when they made good ammo. Sent it back to Glock and worse than before. Tried to break it in and still nothing but jams. Dumped it. Replaced it with 2 Hellcats. 2-1/2 times the firepower and a more powerful cartridge. Listen up bub...and I'm only going to tell you this once! I only use ball ammo. I want maximum penetration. I read on a forum where it said the hollow point bullet stopped 1-1/2 inches from the heart. What is that shit? I want it to go through the heart, shatter the spine and out the back. If it goes in one ear, I want it to come out of the other ear. If I could still get it, I'd use nylon coated ball ammo. Tremendous penetration! Sadly, nylon coated ammo is near extinct. Gov must have shut it down, as they shut down the selling of radioactive minerals on eBay. Here are a few penetration tests on compressed newsprint and kraft paper to give you an idea how various ammo performs. .22 short 5/8 inch of newsprint (snubnose) .22 quiet 1 inch of newsprint (snubnose) .22 HVHP 2-3/8 inches of newsprint (snubnose) .22 Stinger 3-1/4 inches of newsprint (snubnose) .380 ball 3-3/8 inches of newsprint (Beretta) .38 SP Federal ball 4 inches of newsprint (snubnose) .357 Hornady plastic tip magnum 3-3/4 inches of compressed kraft paper (snubnose) (a) .357 Hornady plastic tip magnum 6 inches of compressed kraft paper (Ruger 4" barrel) (a) 9mm Hornady 6-7/8 inches of newsprint (Beretta) 9mm xxxxxx nylon jacket 10 inches of newsprint (Beretta) .45 Auto ball 4 inches of newsprint (Colt 1911) (a) I was starting to change the tests to use compressed Kraft paper and never got round to finishing them. Kraft paper offer more resistance than newsprint. If the .357 was shot into newsprint I think the penetration would be about 25% more.

@rudyd.9628 Swiss gun law allows the keeping of nearly any arms at home with a single license, which most Swiss citizens or even permanent resident aliens can fairly easily aquire. Basically, there form of license needed for a rifle is equivalent to a 4473, and covers ALL rifles forever. Pistols and SBRs require a higher teir of that same licensing, again for life. Then machine guns and suppressors are the highest teir, which is still simpler than our Form 4 system and clears you for life to own as many as you like. You can apply immediately for whichever teir you want, you don't have to progressively work up to the top and there's no time restrictions. Lastly, all crimes in Switzerland fall off your record PERMANENTLY after 10 years, they do not segregate their population by conviction. 10 years after you've served your time you're just like everyone else. Czech Republic has a very open CCW system, which also gives you the power to arrest. So Czech CCW holders are basically reserve police and can engage in actual community based policing. Instead of acting like a private army for the corporate elite.

The thing about exposure to pro-gun content is it is almost exclusively grass roots even the GOAs and FPCs of the world dont have any pull in societal culture because the news market is almost exclusively owned by rich, left wing media. Even right wing media are often owned and operated by people who live in gated, guarded communities. They are the arbiters of the perception of our societal desires. Most people dont even know, and unless they are raised in it or search for meaning beyond the daily news cycle, it will always be a david vs Goliath situation. But if we keep up what we are doing. Flood the channels with information. Consciousness is a collective activity, and if we dont ALL speak up and push the other way, Idiocracy/1984/brave new world society will be here before you even know it.

While I am not anti-gun per se, I am also not opposed to any legislation that is convenient to my sense of liberty. Also, there is an unfortunate equation between "protecting oneself" and "having a gun", transitively painting antigunners as anti self defense. There are exceedingly few people who do not believe in one's ability to engage in self defense.
2A advocates need to focus on convincing immigrants coming to this country that the 2nd amendment is for them as well. And that coming to the US means you adopt this way of life including the civil duty of being the militia for the united states.
I live in NE Wisconsin. Lots of Latinos at my local gun range, having a great time, as well as SE Asians. Overall, minorities are overrepresented at the range compared to their percentage in the total population, which is a very good sign. Often immigrants understand and appreciate the freedoms and civil liberties afforded to American citizens better than those native-born. Maybe they will save us from our next generation of brainwashed, lily-white, “woke,” vegan, spoiled brats. If so, I say “muchos gracias, and pass the ammo!”
I love what this gentleman is saying my frustration is he says they can’t, but they are and yet there’s no one that’s holding them accountable and/or even if they’re holding them accountable there’s no repercussions. 2nd amendment is a relic of ages past. I like playing with guns as much as the next guy, but guns themselves have advanced to a point where the founders wouldnt have wanted americans to have them. They'll keep advancing until it'll be like a TV remote, where you can just click it at a person and they're dead, except it'd probably still be loud. No one should want that level of finality in the hands of an average citizen. What we need is an amendment to the 2nd amendment. A working document is what the founders envisioned.
I will agree however that not all weapons should be remote controlled. Any person that kills for any reason should have to do it themselves, not hide behind a remote like a coward.
The fatality of a person has not changed from 1775 or 1642 to this date. When a life is ended it is then void no matter what. Dead is Dead. No person should wish this upon anyone or ever have to deal with it, but the fact remains that a person who has to defend themselves or their loved ones should be able to defend themselves.

I'm not sure of your point exactly, but I'm sure you would agree that firearm technology has improved and will continue to improve. Therefore it has become easier to kill people with firearms. Single shot muskets vs high capacity mags are different beasts, and those who appreciate guns should encourage reform
