I'm Kentucky background checks are not required if you have a ccdw. Some big box stores still require a background check but little gun shops don't.

Hey BC I received the Tisas 1911A1 I purchased from Sportsman's OUtdoors Superstore online. I upgraded from the Service model to the 1911A1 US Army WG .45 ACP model. I The WG stands for " Wooden Grips " but I replaced those with a nice new/old stock set of Pachmayr Signature Rubber grips ( not wraparound ). The gun looks great. Almost exactly like the 1911A1 we had when I served in the US Army in late 70s and 80's. Only my new one does not make noise like a baby rattle when you shake it, haha. My only issue is that the Magazine release button is really really stiff. I am sure in time the spring will loosen up but in the mean time I ordered Wolf Mag Catch spring #3 online for $6.00. Was the mag release button on your Tisas really tight when you got yours? Mine comes with a very nice cerakote finish to match GI Parkerized finish. I am not sure that makes a difference.

Hey BC, if you are counting FFL processed on Black Friday keep in mind that guns bought online on Black Friday will not have their FFL run until they are delivered to the purchasers local; FFL licensed dealer.

Watching from afar the US looks like a civil war zone. I'm surprised not every citizen has a firearm. If I moved to the US I would carry if allowed or not. The place might seem sorta normal to you guys acclimatised with living there but to the rest of the civilised world it seems absoultely out out control.
