Every week I put up a new video about either my M35a2 Deuce and a Half, shooting, reloading ammo, or general fun commentary. Whether you're an old pro at these things or a novice looking for tips and tricks you're bound to learn something new and see some cool stuff in action. Also, I don't believe in simply holding something in front of the camera and talking about it. Every video you'll see here will have an action shot of whatever I've got that week being used as intended or perhaps as it wasn't intended but still being used.

Disclaimer: My videos are for entertainment purposes only, imitation or the use of any instruction shown in the videos is solely AT YOUR OWN RISK. Sciencescifigaming/BC/Deuceandguns will not be held liable for any injury or damage to firearms/property resulting from attempting anything shown in my videos.

Why wasn't Thompson Machine wasn't included? Their suppressors are well priced and super quiet, and just about all of their suppressors are monocore designed.

@@deuceandguns thanks. Yep seems like so. I'm in talks with a gun smith who makes 556 mags. He made me (2) 200 round drums for 556. Hopefully he can do a custom drum for 22wmr.

@1992pv День назад
@@deuceandguns before you ask, the drums costs over $300 due to RnD as well. Went through 7 iterations to find a solution that would work. I paid for the raw equipment and the custom metal working for it all. He had the skills and tools.

Theses are just fine! lol Brasso Guns! The frames and slides are castings, not always fitted / finished before being plated. So chipping and some orange peeling occurs during the plating process. The feed angle is a bit steep, and some rounding at the chamber lip is to be done. the magazine lips can be smoothed off and will feed better. The springs are good, just mot great. The Recoil spring is not tapered, at least the ones I delt with in the 70's and early 80's.. This is an easy fix, by using an arbor that is larger than the spring and gently tapping the spring with a hammer as you slide the spring onto the arbor. It only needs about half an inch length of the of slightly increased diameter of the spring at the muzzle end. That is how Walther and others got the Spring to stack in short barrel models and to be accepting of multiple Velocity ammos... I did so many of these back in the day. Only a few were beyond saving from the factory. We had penny shoots from twenty feet, with only the Jennings guns being allowed. It was fun as hell. The slide bulging was the result of using Stinger and Yellow jackets .. But only a few of the guns had that issue and a good clamping in the vise and a few passes with a torch to warm it up and allowing it to cool slowly. DO NOT WATER OR OIL QUENCH.. The slower it cools the harder the allow will become! Oh.. The last step to make these guns cycle.. Cover every working surface with Brasso or Mothers, and cycle the crap out of it. Then clean and oil it. Overall it's like we said long ago. Cheap guns just never got the attention to detail that we added. Hence the Price difference. As to using these for defense.. if it's all you have.. It's better than pointing your angry finger! OK..

This certainly would be the cheapest way for a quick fix.. Is there not a process of chrome electroplating the bore then resurfacing or re-rifling the inside?? I would think that most crown damage would be from corrosive ammo and the end of that barrel cooling the fastest and drawing moisture to it so corrosion of the metal starts there first..

You said nothing about whether the ammo was sub-sonic. Sub-sonic .45 ammo is extremely quiet even with smaller suppressors than the one youre using. It just makes a puff sound.
@deuceandguns
@deuceandguns 4 дня назад
At 45 seconds, I state the ammo is "standard 45 cal ball ammo", which is subsonic by definition. Roughly about 850 fps from a pistol length barrel.

Thx. Just found LAX ammo a few months ago, have shot about 2K rounds of 9mm with no issues and thinking about moving all of my purchases from there. Your video helped get me off the fence. Their prices are the very best out there, been tracking everyone, and worried about quality. Poor quality can show up at the worst time and months after purchase. Thx again.

Polygonal 9mm barrels do not like plain hard cast bullets 125gr. .356 diameter. My polygonal barreled Bersa TPR9C hates them but will shoot jacketed/plated and coated bullets of .355-.356 diameter. My standard rifled 9mm barrel pistols will shoot any bullet (jacketed or coated or plain lead) with proper diameter of .355-.356 but they do not like a batch of polymer coated .357 diameter I have so I just use those in my .38Spl. It is possible the TPR9C with its polygonal barrel may like the .357 diameter polymer coat but I would have to try them in it. But my standard rifled 9mm barrels obviously don't like larger .357 diameter bullets. So yes for 9mm barrel types, bullets whether jacketed/plated, coated lead, or plain lead do make a difference as does bullet diameter. Thanks for sharing.

But....if the Glock has a delayed cycle while waiting for gas to equalize/dissipate, does that mean that the Hi-Point can fire off multiple shots in less time? As a side note, the Hi-Point appeared to have slightly less muzzle rise when you were firing off shots side by side.

I have a browning X bolt Hunter .300 win mag and I’m not looking to make subsonic rounds for it, I’m just curious if it is safe to use the minimum charge load that is published in a reloading manual say Hornadys for example. I assume it is safe to use if it’s officially published in the reloading manual I’m just looking for the internets second opinion
@deuceandguns
@deuceandguns 7 дней назад
Using published data from a reloading manual such as Hornady is very safe. If you want to verify the loading info, pull up the manufacturer's website of the gun powder you're using because most of them have published their own load data on their website. If your setup is not covered by any published load data, send the powder manufacturer an email for additional info. I've aways gotten a response from them with more load data or advice on what I'm trying to accomplish. FYI - I typically find that a low to middle powder charge has better accuracy for most situations.

Just love the way you and the commenters oog and aah over these junk Mosins. For what they sale for you can (and should) buy American. I just purchased a Remington 700 low serial # at the gun show for $325.00 with a Red field scope that will out shoot these Mosin junkers. Do you realize importers pay around $3.00 each for Mosins and about 15.00 each import tax? What a markup!!!! But to each his own.
@deuceandguns
@deuceandguns 7 дней назад
It has been illegal to import these into the US for about 10 years now and that's the reason they cost so much. FYI, I stopped buying them once they hit the $100 mark.

I have to respectfully disagree with his last statement. Yes, the Armor is responsible, however, if you're handed a firearm, and TOLD it's "Safe" "Cold" whatever, it is now YOUR responsibility to verify that. You have to be ignorant of firearms or stupid, to accept someone's word for fact that the gun they handed you, was SAFE. From what we know now, there were 3 people who handled that gun. All 3 FAILED to check for safety.

Only at the 8:00 mark. The majority of the test I'm using a one piece cantilever scope mount. The reason for that one shot where it's bridged is because I'm also testing the scope for the next video linked below where I was demonstrating that it should be sold with a one piece cantilever mount vs. the standard mounts. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6DkVn0VmyOg.html
