@@BankRedPanda the 2 reasons why a lot of gundam fans hates it is because 1.They rushed the story instead of making parts or seasons (i mean we like it but sunrise tarnished it) 2. Flit and asemu are such a bad character asemu cant move on from zeheart flit is like kira yamata the "i dont want war/killing" type and out of all that type of characters in gundam banager is the only acceptable one who doesnt wanna kill since UC has a solid story. Edit : Also flit became a space racist who cant move on from his first love even though he has a wife and a family
There were parts of the series that i enjoyed... specifically in S2 with Asemu... i didnt even hate that Flit became a space racist... if i saw people close to me die because of maniacs on the other side who had no real reason to kill them other than "Eff you"... then i would be calling for their erradication as well What i hated about the series is the whiplash of childish art and many childish stories being mixed with dark ideas later on.. like... show, what the HELL do you want to be?!? And this OP sequence feels like it DOESNT take anything seriously... And Kio Arc was terrible. I couldnt finish it! Since s4 was more centered around Kio, i could barely finish it either. Also... AGE FX spiral power ... yea Gurran Lagann called, they said you'll be hearing from their lawyers -_-
Not much of a relationship with this show but was cycling Gundam themes in my free time back in 2014. This song always reminded me of my dads passing and the uncertain future I had waiting after the end of my late teens and start of my young adult years. Uncertain but still a possibility of a hope, a new beginning perhaps.
Not exactly, Age 1 is story focus of flit asuno and then age 2 is the focus story of Asemu asuno with flit support too, then age 3 & FX is focusing story kio asuno with help support by Flit & asemu. That because of flit succresor( sorry bad english) and asemu his son and kio grandson...

This was the first gundam series i watched (around the tail end of 2012 ) and the one that kick started my love for mechas in general, it was truly nostalgic finding this opening again , the song is as beautiful as i remenber it, if not more now that i actually understand the lyrics.
This is a really good intro. This is the only gundam anime ice watched in my entire life as i only watched it on tv around 7 years ago. I suddenly rmb of this song one day and i thought it was an edm. But i realised that its this gundam op. And i tried searching and searching. The only character i finallu rmb was that white haired dude and that was my key, And i finally found it!!! The goosebumps from the nostalgia when i listened to this today :)

I dont Get why AGE gets so much hate. I realy like the whole aspect of fighting through the genereations and how it shows how conflicts can truly last.
Many people pass this off as a kids show its not. It's far from that. Flit commits a genocide on a certain group of people just for killing his first love and his family. And opposes his will on his child and grandchild. This is definitely not a kids show at all😅😂
AGE was supposed to dive into the effects of how War can change a person. And hell yeah it did. Flit was changed c o m p l e t e l y. In a good way (characterization wise) but in a horrible way (what caused him to change). Poor dude witnessed stuff an early teenager shouldn't even have to deal with. Man literally forced Asemu and Kio to carry on his bloodlusting legacy against the Vagans.
@@Kirito843 Exactly. Gundam series tend to do this sort of thing all the time but Age showed long term effects. Flit was one of my favorite characters until started to hate him because his motivations to fight became so corrupted; true he went through stuff that no kid should go through but that never really gave him the excuse to act like the people he hated, even though the people he hated was created by the very government that allowed his colony to get attacked. Aseume and Kio may have been forced to carry on his legacy but they also showed us that they can break the cycle of hatered and war by going down different paths than Flit did.
the problem, as i said in a diferent post is, its at the same time the most adult theme(kids growing up during wartime, being forced to grow into resentiful people despite their best effort), but because of how kid oriented it is, the series just doesnt work. just look at the age 1. 2 of its forms are borderline suicidal. 1 is a wresting machine... the second is a rogue with a dagger. WHY? because toys, then there's the army suits equiped with garbage that couldnt compare to even mining tools. now compare it to other series with designs for selling toys, like the strike, aegis, wing or the virtue. those are clearly designed as toys, but they at least look competent and with weaponry for combat. then there's the character design. age is by far the most "super-roboty"(and im talking literal child piloting super robot). Age is an amazing idea, wasted on "how do you make it sell the most toys" aprouch. and it suffered massively because of it.
The third arc was shit, so shitty it ruined everything... That is why people hate AGE, but if you just think of of the part 1 and 2 it's a great alternative universe Gundam show.
His voice is really soothing.....yet to watch Gundam Age but having this is as op is making me excited to watch it Edit: Watched Gundam Age and finished Gundam series. Glad that i watched it even though old series were bit wierd.
I personally enjoyed AGE. And to see the Asano legacy and the Gundam through generations was something I personally found so appealing in this show. I thought it was pretty gripping and decent and it deserves more love that hate. I personally think its one of the good ones.
No kidding, especially since a lot of it is all of his own guilt and resentment for himself that motivates him later on besides the anger he makes visible for others.
Literally my favourite part of the intro... This wasn't my favourite gundam series and I've watched a few of them but I think this is my favourite gundam op just for that shot
the problem is how dissonant it is. it has one of the best and most interesting ideas, but the execution was atrocious. it all comes down to their design focused on being a kids toy seller first. it goes even worse when the age forms are so focused on selling toys, they dont even work in the series. 2 of the ages forms are things that should've been in G or builders.
It wasn't well receive cause... Well the art style is a little child friendly and the beginning is a little slow. but don't be fooled, this series is ... Well no it's not 00 or Zeta or... But it's at least a 7/10. It's a good watch.
