it has more details than most anime that are being produced these days because they lack of depth, modern anime relies too much to real image converted to animation and cgi.
The reason: straight to video. Animators has more time to add more frames and quality check. Budget is bigger than standard tv anime. The cons, you'll have to wait months for another episode to drop in your local video store. That's what makes OVA different than tv animes.
I do love the design of the GP02 being an absolute brute of a mobile suit but it makes sense for its purpose and isn't unreasonably huge like Psycho or Destroyer. It's kinda like the designers for the A10 had a shot at making a Gundam.
Yeah it a good design. Stocky and tough looking yet with a thruster set that makes it quick through brute force. Very good contrast to the fairly sleek gp01 and other standard gundams.
@@Prime92 To say nothing of it's Beam Bazooka or MLRS! :P But yeah, the GP02 can be really scary in the hands of someone who really knows how to use it.
It's entirely fair that Gato mocks Uraki, the kid is so young he forgot that yelling in space is pointless. Gato wasn't trying to cop a feel of Ukraki, he put their helmets together so they could speak. Gato LITERALLY did not hear hear and COULD NOT hear him yelling after he left.
Typical Kou lmao. Dame guy who helped rebuild the Val-Waro in one episode and then wondered what a mobile armor was going on the moon an episode later.😊
It's Sunrise. Their OVAs often top notch. CB's animation quality is suspiciously identical to a typical OVA and that's a 26 episode tv series. Wonder how much budget they put in one episode.
3:18 I absolutely love how GP01 sacrifices it's foot to stop the stab. Probably the coolest things about mecha stuff is watching these bots absolutely tearing themselves apart and keep going at it full force until full breakdowns
Gato lost because a. his left arm was unusable after shooting the nuke b. he underestimated Kou, because of how bad Kou jobbed on their earlier encounter. c. Kou was extremely lucky.
@@hippohijau Kou was extremely lucky, but he improved enough from their first fight to the extent he can notice the unusable left arm. If he managed to slice off the left shoulder altogether, Gato would have been sent spinning with just the right shoulder boosters left
It's a small touch, but I LOVE that he opened up with his head vulcans instead of his heavy weaponry. Clear a path, keep the enemy on the defensive while you close to melee range, without expending your heavy ordinance. Show's he's truly an experienced pilot.
Physalis doesn't have any other usable weapons for a 1v1. It's only equipped here with the head vulcans, the beam saber, and then that bazooka which shoots a single tactical thermonuclear warhead. At this range, it would destroy itself if it attempted to use the bazooka.
@@GrahamScanlonDrums ah, damn, I misremembered the initial load out then. Still and all, I absolutely stand by seeing effective use of vulcans against a Gundam class mobile mobile suit.
The Turn A Gundam sound effects are cool, but I prefer the sound effects from the ones in the English Dub for some reason. Maybe I just feel like they're more suitable, or maybe it's because I grew up with them. Not sure.
So rare to see someone just upload a good rip of an anime fight nowadays. Everyone interpolates it to shit with AI now. Just looks like soup half the time.
You forgot about the part where 1. The Earth Federation just let someone they have no idea who inside their base just because that person was wearing one of their uniforms 2. The engineer behind the Gundams chose to shoot at the pilot and left with the enemy, only to return to the pilot at the very end.
@@viiaziel2184 To be fair, it's been three years since the war ended, and save some small Remnant actions, things have been chilling for the Federation. It's AFTER Stardust that things start going sideways for them, forever.
Such level of animation you won't find on tv. Not to mention it is consistent. Do you guys fine with one episode per month for a new Gundam anime? That's how you get rhis level of hand drawn details and animation.
@@mikegaming583 you're right, haha. But still, it would be 12 episodes max at best. It feels like hand drawn mecha animation days are numbered. Sunrise might be the only one left to do that but even they now using CGI for animating mechas.
Did they for real remix the whole audio track and STILL kept all the copyright violations? You're either some lucky bastards or you've got really good lawyers.
