The Woundwort is a pretty unique and quite good suit. Closer ranged supports have been a thing, but this suit takes it up a notch by actually being tied as the fastest support at 450 with 190 boost speed combined with high damage melee attacks.
The beam rifle primary does great damage as well as provide long distance stuns with the chance to penetrate multiple enemies with high damage when fully charged.
Your heat blade does wonderful damage but your claw attack is potentially the best attack, and defense, you have. Not only is it a wire-like attack that hits farther than normal wires, but since it counts as a melee attack it can actually stop MA. Which means any raid being overconfident and charging straight towards you will get stunned. This automatically makes it the best defense a support can have in the game.
The suit does have faults, like 0 ballistic resistances. Yes, it does matter and you will take a lot of damage from suits that specialize in it. You also have only one swing and one melee priority when it comes to going into combos.
The biggest problem I can see is that the play style of the suit can be really hard or even infuriating to get use to for your typical player. Being a support with no evasive skills going in for combos against technically superior melee suits (in priority and skills) can be annoying if the game’s latency really hates you or if your team is lacking. Let’s not forget that you will be in close vicinity to raids as well.
Overall, I don’t recommend this suit to most players. I can see a lot of people struggling with this suit. In fact, I already have seen it. If the play style is up your alley then I suggest rolling for it if you want to.
