Gelgoog and jegan shouldnt be on this list. The hazel/wort is just a class beyond all of these. Zulus, Jestas and Rezels are they just a joke now? I'd take a Jesta Shezarr/cannon or Rezel type C over nearly anything in the UC. While yes we've seen many aces tearing it up inside many variants of the gm and zaku ii I don't really see them as customized. They just kept upgrading them. While I know seed isn't in this category...the Zaku Warrior and its variants seem to be the ultimate mobile suit line. 1
7:56 good luck picking from this child's sweets shop Gundams Armor sets Backpacks Weapon loadouts Support units Mobile Armors Hell, let's just throw in the Blue Eyes White Dragon while we're at it.
Gotta give a shoutout to Geara Zulus. The interchangeability between Geara Zulus and Geara Doga parts, heavy weaponry, backpacks, armor and shoulder pads, Guards type, and maybe even throw the Zee Zulu in there if you want your Geara Zulu with big ol' heat claws.
This is what happens when you have someone who. Has just the right amount of, Ambition, Genius, wide-eyed optomism...and a love of dakka to make even 40K fanboys go "What the hell is this thing!?". It's beautiful.
I got one basic alto ground type, added a chest armor of the extra parts, a new face mask with a V fin, extra shoulder shield on the right shoulder, modified left shoulder, chonky legs, shield on the left hand with a cannon, a bazooka as main weapon, extra thrusters on the backpack, with handlers for the extra weapons, thrusters on the legs... it just looks really good and you can do what you want!
Honestly, I wouldn't mind watching a two-hour-long video to hear you talk about all of the TR-1 and TR-6 variants. I have much love for the Hazels and Woundworts, and am trying to grab all of their existing model kits to justify my Titans Test Team madness.
It sucks that most of the kits are P-Bandai though. I'm a HG collector, and most of my TTT mobile suits are TR-1 variants back in 2005 - 2006. The cost of P-Bandai "modern" ones are kind of ridiculous. I'm putting "modern" in huge quotation marks. To be fair the TR-6 is new, but the vanilla Woundwort is already a limited item.
@@grease734 yes. They are expensive. I'll never know why they never make a standard release of the most popular p-bandai kits. Stuff like the f90 or the gundam mk5. And the hazel series as a whole pretty much deserves one as well.
There's something appealing about the Woundwort, how the need for more power generation lead to the use of twin reactors in the legs instead of the torso, leading to a body plan that looked 'feminine' compared to your typical MS. The fact that the 'Fairy Gundam' (as a friend of mine used to call it) could then wear enough mobility/armour packs to count as a Mobile Armour is just doubling down on the punchline.
Custom Jegans sure are cool but I prefer the GM Sniper Custom as ace unit: good performance with a variety of weapon options that can just be handheld instead of modifying the MS itself
The Sniper Custom was definitely one of the most customizable MS the Earth Federation had access to from the One Year War era. While my personal preference is its successor- the GM Sniper II, there is no denying the fact that the Sniper Custom had more hardpoints and was generally more versatile.
Funny thing is the Sniper II could be customized in GBO2 with the weak beam spray gun instead of an actual sniper to be a God damn insanely good leg destroyer of you are an ace at aiming for legs
I would go for the Hazel too. Given how customizable was that thing, I would set up 3 different layouts to deal with different situations _just in case_. But by default I would pick the one with highest amont of dakka and with highest possible amount of thrust. Like they say, going "woosh" and "pew pew" is always cool.
Personally Speaking, I would definitely go with the Gundam since lets be honest, while all these mobile suits were great suits and all, the Hazel Gundam is the one that would strike fear in anyone that sees it while many people would just consider the Zaku or the GM as cannon fodder though that's only the regular non-customized versions mind you.
they are few like the Nemo II (less thrust and more agility), Nemo IV (higher firepower and stats), Nemo Cannon (has a cannon), Nemo high Manoeuver (high mobility type) but they are more prototypes/limited version than custom units
Drew a concept for a gelgoog high mobility type that had parts from a dom and a modified marine backpack. It ended up looking like a monster of an ace.
I wanted too make a wise ass remark about WhErE Is (insert suit here) but there really isn't anything else I can think of. Maybe the gm3 or Nemo? good job
As an MS with 16 different alternate forms for it; i can whole-heartedly agree about the TR-6. Only a quarter of its variants exist, along with the TR-6 itself, and i'm already sick of building Composite Shield Boosters... Mainly cos of those damn stickers that go on the blade.
The "MS-06G Zaku II High Mobility Ground Type Deen West Custom" and "MS-06G Zaku II High Mobility Ground Type + R-Type Leg + Gouf Custom Arm" is a testament to the versatility and customizability of the Zaku line.
I will say, Conroy’s Jegan from Gundam Unicorn is one of my favorite mobile suits. It isn’t even that unique but there’s just something about that beam pistol and the knife on the left shoulder that I really like.
Just a theory, but the GM Sniper Custom may have been thought to be an ace unit because the entire point about Mobile Suits is that Minovsky particles made hitting things at long range way harder.
MS Saga had some pretty interesting customization, but unfortunately it didn't do so hot. Now outside the Breaker games we don't seem to see it very much, which is sad.
While not "Gundam", *M.A.S.S. Builder* basically lets you create a Gundam (and many other mobile suits from across the series) from scratch if you're creative enough.
I would probably use either the GM II OR Quel which then I would focus on customizing it to have a high powered sniper rifle with power extenders which would further boost either range or power to destroy the enemies at enormous ranges or high protective suits, it’d be the launcher strike basically. Edit: I suppose I’ll go with a GM Sniper III high maneuver type custom that has 1 standard reactor and a smaller sub reactor that powers the ultra high powered sniper rifle so that it’s destructive power and range would be as far as possible, and I’d put a missiles pod with 3 missiles on the shoulder if the enemy got to close.
Hazel definitely the shear amount of Customization on that mobile suit is insane. Would definitely go for a long range high speed suit with some extra armor to increase survivability.
One mustn't forget the Gundam F90/F90II - 26 completely unique equipment sets, each for a different mission role. You can't get much more customizable than that.
I'm going for the Hazel Owsla, minus the Winch Cannon. To compensate, I'll re-equip the Hazel/GM Quel Submachine Gun. Or probably use the Mk II beam rifle + grenade launcher. Use a regular shield to decrease weight, and use a physical blade as the beam saber may run out of power.
Until last week, I was unaware there were more than one style of Jegan in F-91. Then P-Bandai lists three separate kits! Perfect timing with this video!
when I was playing gundam breaker 3, and the last dlc came out, with the woundwart being the boss, i fell in love with it IMMEDIATELY I've always been picky when it comes to robot aesthetics, and the TR-6 woundwart checked off ALL my boxes: its sleek, minimalist, transformable, and it has great shapes, but the sheer amount of customization that you can do with it is what i like the most though
Jeagan is just an upgraded version of my own Custom Gm Cold Dist. Type sooo probably rocking a high maneuverability type Jeagan myself lol. Thrusters, Close Range weapons with that spiffy arm mounted saber rack, hip rockets and the shield rockets as well!
With how long zeon lasted, and the titans being fresher with also being less over zealous at least as a remnant. I wounder if we had a custom hazel taking on James Guns, and Javelins.
The UNSC in Halo used the same assault rifles, tanks and reconnosaince vehicles for more than 300 years, so i don't see any problem in using the good old Jegan for 30 years! XD
Problem is the new miniaturized mobile suits flew circles around them which is why the Heavygun was introduced as basically a miniaturized Jegan and that lasted until the Zanscar war 50 years later
The TR-6 Haze'n-thley II Rah. It has a high speed MA form, it has INCOMs, it has beam weapons in every direction, and it even has an escape pod for emergencies.
I had the chance to use the Gelgoog Canon Type in Battle Operations 2, and managed to win enough Sorties with it to get back to C- Rank (until one loss using another mobile suit reduced it back to a D+ Rank), so I have a bit of a bias when it comes to the Gelgoog.
ai find it fascinating how much GBO2 material (art, or model shots) is now being used in other gundam adjacent media, even though it doesn't seem to be that popular in the west
Not on the list, but definitely what I would want is the RX-79 [G] Gundam Ground Type. One unit idea that I had is more of a Slave Wraith custom by replacing the head with a GM Sniper head in addition to the extra armor and a long range rifle. For myself, I would double on the shields and wield two hand guns or beam spray guns. Since I wouldn’t need the extra ammo containers on the side skirt, I’d replace them with either some grenades, additional beam sabers or maybe some extra guns. This is of course sticking to main UC. Otherwise I would replace the backpack with the HGBC Ez-Arms backpack, the shields would be from the Gundam Local Type, I’d have the wrist Vulcan guns from the Ez-Arms and a pair of pistols from the HGBC GM/GM weapons set. Shame that I can’t get my hands on any of these kits to build it and no game allows for this degree of customization.
I have in fact built my own custom Jegan already. It is a custom painted Ecoas Type with the leg and forearm equipment of the Start variant with a high performance space type backpack mounting a miniaturized Minobski flight system for aerial combat. In reality it’s just the two Unicorn Jegans combined with the EZSR backpack set, the Powered Arms Powerder, and the shield and carbine from the Jesta.
I’d also definitely have to go with the Hazel specifically I’d go for 4 Shield boosters (w/ lasers), legs with the sub arms, then of course 4 beam rifles/machine guns, on top of this already absurd load out I’d see if I could possibly get missile pods mounted on the shoulders and legs for some extra firepower. Though with all this gear I’d probably have the thrusters improved as to be able to retain a higher speeds without issue then increased fuel stores to feed the monster thrusters.
Super late but hey I gotta rep my Zaku II , in terms of everything in it, I would probably replace the shoulder shield for a riot shield and then later on ask if I could get a Gelgoug shield and probably try and get my hands on a heat sword from a Gouf to suplement my heat hawk. I'd want to put on a bit of extra armor and my weapons would be a standard machine gun and a bazooka. My colors would be Green and Gunmetal Grey
If I were a Zeon Ace early in the OYW I'd rock a Zaku with the gatling option of the Cannon backpack, AMR, and twin shield config (It bugs me so damn much they put the Zaku shield on the WRONG side of the frame, the shield should be facing the enemy). I'd rock a similar setup on a Gelgoog later in the war honestly. Thinking about it I'd probably just run that similar setup on whatever suit I'd run, preferably with something like the GM Strikyer's twin-beam spear or a similar polearm plus a beam saber connected to the MS's power source (Akin to Epyon) through the arm (It ejects out the inside of the forearm right into the hand, then retracts back so no wires to get cut like Epyon's setup).
Of the machines on the list, I'd probably go with a Jegan, most likely a D-Type. Paint scheme would be blue with a black torso and trim. Shield with missiles on the left arm, and beam sabers on each hip. I'd use the backpack thrusters of the Stark Jegan, the standard beam rifle, and basically just tear in and engage the enemy at close-combat.
I personally went in the opposite direction, turning the D-type into a stealthy interceptor designed to hit and fade while remaining as unnoticed as possible.
@@vali6717 Fair enough. Though on second thought in considering it, I probably would just forego the shield, and use two beam sabers on each arm along with the two on the hips, for a total of six - with the mountings on the arms modified so I can just deploy them from the forearms Unicorn-style. Melee for days.
Taking it even one step further, give the Jegan the Rezel beam shield. That way you can spray and pray while not getting blown up by your own shield. Edit: For my personal MS, I’d use the jegan as well, but kitted out for CQC. I’ll use the escort type head with Vulcans on both sides, and ECOAS chest armor. The arms would be based off of the D-type for customization, with additional storage for beam magazines (right arm) and grenades (left arm). The waist would carry 2 beam sabres, and the legs would be based off of the A-type. Finally, I’d use the F91 jegan standard beam rifle with the Rezel shield, and a Stark jegan backpack. My paint scheme would be titans based.
@@Takeshi_Yamato_103 That’s cool! Everyone has their own preferences. Personally I like to shower the enemy with bullets to close the distance before striking them with a beam saber:)
Id deck out a galbaldy beta because for the time it was a very high performing ms and could hold its own during the gryps war. It was arguably better than the gm ii. Id probably use it for the aeug tho but paint it a purple and black color
I would have go with Gelgoog- because it's high mobility is incredible for using both beam blades and a beam gun. Zaku- because I like how it uses a beam bazooka to take out enemy ships and uses a mohawk to chop down some GMs. Jegan-because it could use some good upgrades to use for taking out enemy mobile suits like Rick Dom, Gallus J, and Pyscommu test type Zaku.
The amount of costomization on the Hazel reminds me of Mattletech. Wanna ducktap AC 20s on a catapult? And see what happens? Oooor Put Jump Jets on a AWESOME and see how that big fucker flys to sway a Aerospace Fighter?
I rock a custom stark Jegan in the Breakers games. Though it's final form includes parts from both G Gundam and Wing. Using Gundam Rose's arms and the wings off wing Zero, The family of units that lead to it are called "Jegan Ark Royal" it's final form is "Jegan Ark Royal: Final Regalia"
Alright aces, I know this is gonna sound crazy but I would use a Quel with the advanced sensors Gundam head, the Hazel legs and backpack with two shields on it one normal one with a bazooka and one lazer shield, two normal shields on the arms, a beam assault rifle that could be stored on the left arm shield and one beam sword on each hip that I could combine and use while spinning like a fan and performing crowd control and then use the beam swords to finish the last of the enemies off one at a time in close combat what do you think? 🙂👌(Edit) btw Kakarot I have now subscribed to the channel Gundam rules! 🤘😎👍
I'm personally a fan of the Goof nor as customizable as most on the list but could use most of the equipment of the other Zeon suits. It also had a bunch of specialized equipment of its own that made it a beast at close to mid range.
I always saw the Quel/Hazel lines as a means of experimentation. To see what could be put on a mobile suit and how advanced it could become while still making it reliable in battle. When you got no limits on what you can do, and can experiment to your heart's content, there's almost nothing you can't come up with.
Unicorn is in a bit of a limbo as to how canon it is, but my dream machine is a customised ReZEL Type-C. Given that it shares many of its parts with the Jegan, I'd assume customising it would be similar, with the caveat that they can't get in the way of the transformation. That said, the backpack and wing binders are free real estate, given that there's already variations like the Defenser units.
I would also probably go for the Hazel Gundam but I'm also a really big fan of the Jagan. I could probably just steal it and take it to the AEUG That'd be one hell of a fan theory.
I feel like Kakarot made this video because he wanted to talk about Hazels again...not that I'm complaining (also, I unironically want to hear that entire 2-hour ramble).
And now I just really want a TR-6 video! With your extensive knowledge on AoZ, it would be an awesome way to help explain just how versatile this machine really is.
That would the list for Customizable Ace "Grunt" Mobile Suits. But what about for the "True" Ace MS? I can only guess a few, namely the RX-78 line, RX-0s, ZZ Gundam, Strike and Impulse (don't know if striker/wizard packs count as customizable).
I would get a Jegan and make it look like a Plymouth Fury, like “Christine.” The backpack always makes me think of the back tail-light fins on a car like that
There are so many combinations and alternatives that you have to read through the supplementary readings in order to find them, and then you're mind is blown by just how much you can customize them by mixing and matching parts.
*looks at Mk. II Ultima and Commando T-X2* Yeah, we are all Aces here! One thing we could do with a Hazel... what if we fit one with a GN Drive? Why is everybody looking at me like that? How about a list of underrated Mobile Suits, like the aforementioned Mk. II or even the Jegan? I say the Mk. II, but that thing lasted W-A-Y longer than it had any right to! At all! It was, technically outdated by the Grips Conflict? First Neo Zeon War it was a relic, frankly it belonged in a museum, not in frontline combat! It almost survived two wars, not bad for a machine that wasn't even meant for combat deployment!
I’ll probably get myself a GM Quel, make it based off of RAY STUDIO’s GM Sniper Pro with all the pistons and such, add a 30 minute missions looking fight unit, give it a low-vis American fighter jet livery. And make sure it’s well armed and can go fast.
For sure to for My Eye...... Zaku For Women 100% Perfect........ Need Gundam Weapon For Zaku...... That all Done..... Some Gundam Is Good For Women With Weapon Dangerous And brutal weapon With Some Trick And Something......
*>Customizable Ace Mobile Suits* :D *>Sees the "UC"* _Sad Overflag noises_ I kid, I kid, this was still an enjoyable video to watch, especially as someone whose only informational exposure to the UC is your channel.
Hell, there was a ground based version of the Flag that was suppose to be implemented before Celestial Being stepped up. Would have transformed into a psuedo-tank configuration.
@@andrewowens4421 I know. The Flag honestly was just the coolest Non-GN Drive mass-production suits, to the point that Enact's basically a rounder copy of it.
After seeing the video I do not know why I get the idea of a custom MS I would build if was living in the Universal Century. I would use an Ecoas Jegan as the base for my Custom MS and modify it by using parts from the GM Sniper custom, GM Sniper 2, and Gundam Unit 6 Mudrock, and Gundam Alex Gatling arms. I think I will call it Jegan M.L.R.S (Medium, Long, Range, Specialist).
