I'd really love to see this Exia version (Repair IV) as a MG or RG, just because, I mean I totally agree the MB figures are great in both form and function, but that price.... man... it's just too much... it'd be great too if they made the Dynames Repair III as either MG or RG, or even better both grades... even though I'm sure it'd be P-Bandai... but at least it would be available to more Gunpla collectors financially... I really do dig these continued 00 mobile suit designs (that Exia left arm is so cool)... well I guess, even though it'll never happen, a guy can still dream right...
With the MG Astrea coming out it's not entirely out of the question that we might get a MG out of this kit, but with the way things seem to be over at Bandai it would probably be P-Bandai
@@ry0usama511While I'd preffer to stay with Bandai, just because that's what I know, I'd be cool with Daban too, the latest kits I've seen reviewed made by them look pretty good but unfortunately I just don't have a Daban hook up...
Its Exia with the Full Saber equipment from 00 QANT. The Full Saber equipment got repurposed for the Exia instead. The Exie repair line did not live up to its development code which is 7 Swords. R2 and R3 got reduced from that until R4 got back it's full potential.
All my MB figures go right back into the box after the review because I've ran out of space. Hopefully this year I can actually move to somewhere a little bigger so I can set up a studio where theses beasts can finally have some shelfspace.
@@shockbladezed1871 I get what you're saying but those kits are not beginner friendly and generally require you to modify the connection points to even work right.
Has no one noticed that the concept of a more durable frame and the style of the hand seems to be leading the Gundam 00 development towards a specific timeline as a possible sequel?
@@markwilliam7475 Ahab reactors are pretty mysterious lost technology. They're able to generate artificial gravity and I think they can also compensate for G forces somewhat too.
If you’re looking for one that is semi-affordable (still quite expensive) the Crossbone X1 or the F91 are the best bang for your buck in metal build standards.
Mecha you put the GN Tachi backwards on Exia's hand, the blue part of the sword is suppose to face Exia and just by looking at the blade you already know the sword is backwards
15:11 Most metal build figures tends to have that problem, but I find the exias(and the astreas) tends to loosen up a bit more severely compared to the others....it might have to do with the weight since the exia is one of the earlier metal builds while it is one of the heaviest
I know this is 2 months old, but it may have to do simply with the weight of the legs on Exia-type mobile suits, as I’ve had similar issues with the laevatein and the arbalest compared to my other metal build figures, mainly in their large legs.
I’ve watched your channel since I was like 10 so I’ve watched you for like 4 years! I recently got back into gundam and bought a Shining gundam from my fav gundam show.
Your comment made me conscious about my age haha. Nearly forty and still collecting plastic crack. I might do this too till my eyes fail me I suppose..
Welcome to the gunpla club. I personally only started to get figures and model kits around a year or so ago but its an addictive habbit. I have 4 MGs and 4 HGs. Also if it's alright to suggest a kit to build sometime. I would go with any of the 3 MG Zaku warriors. They're incredible kits, easy and fun to build. I the Red Gunner Zaku, the Green Blaze Zaku, and the Blue Slash Zaku all from gundam seed.
Dear Mecha Gaikotsu. The Tau GN Drive is located in the Shield and the Large GN Condenser is in the Torso. You are also having it hold GN Tachi backwards, Rurouni Kenshin style. The blue part on the guard is supposed to be the backside of the Tachi. Thanks.
I just realized that left arm and actually the hand reminds me of a GN-X hand, and I'm getting tired of the missing left arm and bad fitting shroud on my MG Exia Ignition mode, so I think I'm going to try kit-bash a new left arm from a MG GN-X and Barbatos, it won't be anime correct but Setsuna managed to somewhat repair the Exia in the 4-years between seasons and at the end of season 1, there would've been lots of damaged / destroyed GN compatible GN-X mobile suits floating around, so maybe he could've made a new left arm too, he did repair the torso and head of the Exia before meeting up with his Celestial Being team again...
MechaGaikotsu I was wondering if you could review the model kits listed down below? 1.) HG Messer FO2 Type (Commander Machine) 2.) HG Gustav Karl (Ghirens ambition ver.) 3.) HG or MG Geara Doga 4.) 1/100 RGM 109 Heavy Gun (If you can find it) I wanted to get your opinion on these kits as I am considering buying them as they have interested me for quite some time. They are all designs I completely adore especially the Geara Doga and the Gustav Karl. I know you've already reviewed the Gustav Karl and the Messer before but these are different versions. And I've never seen you review the Geara Doga, or much of the other kits regarding Gundam F91, other than, well, the F91 itself.
The rgm-109 heavy gun? That's a very old kit,i can tell you from building even the hardy gun that the plastic isn't quite as nice, has issues with seams all over so it needs love and care,it can be quite unstable even if you have a loose version of it even. I would say get it but only if it's relatively cheap, around 10 and 20 max.
@@CoreVin975 well it's more or less the plastic,90's kits are plastic quality wise not the same as the current plastic, and can be a bit more brittle on some parts
Little sad I missed out on this one with the cool shield and katana, but I did order the upcoming MB Devise Exia with its huge GN Buster Sword! Hoping it's as high-quality as this one!
You ever gonna do a review of the Metal Build QAN[T]? Your reviews are by FAR the most informative I've ever seen when it comes to the stuff I look for and I'm on the fence about buying it
The clips that hang onto the blades on the shield are just as brittle as they were on the Quanta. A clip on my Quanta snapped because of how small it was and the material it was made of. Doesn’t look like they addressed that issue on this version either. 😕
I really want to get into Gunpla but Im very poor. Can you recommend a beautiful slick HG gundam that can last really long? I would love something with no painting and not too much panel lining needed.
@@shockbladezed1871 you could get a Seed Destiny but then you could also get a Zeta. I'm happy if they do a sequel if it means we get some new kits based on designs like the left arm. If it's not great, you can always just ignore it.
I have some of the early Metal Builds and they indeed have the tendency to loose their articulation over time, in the legs mostly in the case of the Exia family.
the best part by far for me is the head mold. Like, its literally more accurate than the PG exia's head mold to the anime, and the picture of exia in the gundam wiki, and just overall, ive spent hours looking at exia in the anime compared to the head molds of different exia kits from hg, rg, mg, etc; they're all TRASH i swear to god, it bothers me so much. It looks so bad. If bandai can make every single qant and raiser head mold look fine, why is exia the only one they cant ever get right when it comes to head mold accuracy. Its like they're not even trying, because between the hg rg and mg they look so damn different; meanwhile the qant and raiser have similar if not identical head molds across the board, that also look anime accurate. Ugh. But tamashi the goat for making a metal build exia.
I’m having a hard time finding any models in stock. As well as the models that I do find are super expensive. I was wondering if anybody had any info as to when there will be new stock or why Gundam models are so expensive right now
State of the world is limiting production of new kits. Also not sure where you are but if you are in the U.S. then the 2 biggest ports are highly backlogged a couple of stores i got to have said their shipments are stuck there from time to time
Increased demand is a big one too. During lockdowns a lot more people got into it as a hobby and people already in the hobby wanted more kits to get them through lockdowns
I really hope they make rg ver or they will make me just see exia repair IV in phone gallery picture cause the price and the lot of crap need to pay so rg is the only hope for me and I also love the mix of exia 00 seven sword and quanta in one figure so lovely 😍
How many times Celestial Being it's gonna repair the Exia? I mean, isn´t it pretty useless compared other machines that are superior? or is it that Celestial Being are short of machines and resources?
What I can just realize os the fact that Exia is the only REMAINING original CB Mobile Suits... Imagone Exia being really alive, She'd be out of emotions but just Seriousness since she is the only original CB mobile suit... TvT
Not only Exia . Dynames too . Those 2 are the original Gundams of the 3rd Generation . Dynames got retrofitted to become a heavy support gundam in favor to the combat style of Laetitia Erde . An Innovade type similar to Tierra . Dynames R3 has Virtue's downscaled GN Bazooka . He is fitted with 2 twin shoulder cannons . But they are not only cannons . The Nadleeh shaped shield binders also emit GN field .
There is no GN sword 6. GN sword 1 in Exia main sword, GN sword 2 is 00 two gun swords, GN sword 3 is 00 Raiser sword, GN sword 4 is 00 Qan T full saber sword, GN sword 5 is 00 Qan T main sword.
