Gunman Sentenced In 12-Year-Old Girl's Death 

Kills 2 people and only has to serve 17yrs only in America.....

This is too sad! She was sweet I just watched the movie because that was just UGH I don't know how to explain the pain and sadness

Watched the Netflix doc “Stray Bullet”. The police and prosecution did a horrible job with this case. Honestly it should never have been brought to trial with the lack of evidence and the lack of credible witnesses. First, the prosecution and court tried to stall out the money for a paid lawyer and the psychology of the defendants claiming they were offering pleas for 2 years. The best plea deal offered was 40 years! The man who (eventually after trial) plead to the murder of both victims was facing 2 murder charges and trials concurrently. The first charge and trial resulted in a hung jury for the murder Genesis Rincon. Imo the prosecution was lucky to get that. The prosecutions witnesses that pointed out the defendants were criminals with pending cases or pending deals for probation predicated on them testifying in this case. There was absolutely no physical evidence. IMO the only solid circumstantial evidence was the FBI locating defendants cell phones in the vicinity of the crime scene. Police seemed to fail to investigate a better lead that implicated someone else. One of their key witnesses was actually texting someone on the stand about that same person that wasn’t investigated entering the court room while he was testifying. It was already proven that this other person had the murder weapon at one point in time earlier than the murder of Rincon. If their isnt reasonable doubt here than their is virtually never reasonable doubt. This is just speculation but IMO the defendant must have known that the prosecution for his second case and trial was a lot more solid than the first. I bet him or his lawyer thought the first trial should have had a not guilty verdict so if I would have been the defendant and had known I committed the second murder and known that they had solid evidence for the second murder, 17 years with 3 served is a great deal. But with that deal he had to plea to both murders, so he did. They certainly didn’t prove he murdered Genesis and it certainly looked like the suspect that wasn’t investigated may have. The defense attorney was a successful paid lawyer. I couldn’t even imagine having a public defender in this type of trial. The defendant probably wasn’t shit as a human-being but the justice system is fucked up! 2 criminals with pending cases saying “he did it” and a cell phone tower shouldn’t be enough for a trial let alone a life sentence.

I'm watching her documentary on Netflix. This so sad & heartbreaking.
