The poor guy has lost his voice, but I still have lots of respect for him, he was part of my childhood. I just wish he hadn't damaged his voice, he was very distinctive. He's also a good song writer.
@@jorkanmx yet he can sing better than you. Who cares what he sounds like it still sounds good and Axl has plenty of power still. His voice just can't go as high anymore he's 59.
We have technology now to help this issue. An AI with his voice that can learn how he sing and enter in action with the mic...like mask a little over his actual voice. A computer needs to be set in a right mix to a right music. Is not ' black mirror '...can be done. As a fan 30 years waiting a show in my city...I can't wait for this. We are in the future! Is not too expensive.
It’s interesting because his voice isn’t bad, it’s just different than we remember. And every so often the old voice comes through. Arguably, the Greatest front man ever.
well, I have to disagree with you on the frontman part, for me, imo, freddie mercury is the best frontman. To get the entire stadium to clap along to radio gaga means something
I'd say many better front men in Rock for sure but top 10 to top 15 yeah maybe. Great in his prime for sure. But I'd say Freddie, Plant, David Lee Roth, Jim Morrison are all ahead of him even in his prime yrs. Not that all their voices were better but their style imagination and pure entertainment value were for sure. Still I've always been always will be a huge Axl and GNR fan.
When I was a kid in the late 80s and early 90s I listened to 70s rock along with the current rock. , and was genuinely put out that I had been born too late. Missed the greats etc. I only now realize that I witnessed the last of the greats first hand. And I’ll forever be grateful that I can call their music mine.
@@danielormsby831 because your still a child and have decades of time in front of you. It’s unproductive for you to wish about the passed when you should be wishing about the future.
Galera vamos apoiar o Guns principalmente o Axl galera.
guys, if axl's voice is too bad for you, don't listen to it. simple. give a break, he's not 27 anymore. the answers to my comment leads exactly to the point I wanna get. no one is forced to glorify who axl is today if they don’t want to, just search for a guns n roses show from the 80s or stream the albums, you don’t need to spend your time distilling hate on the internet, the world is already too sad for this type of thing. much love to y'all.
@@raionwolf4581 this is because axl used the drive the wrong way for many years and it ended up damaging his vocal cords a lot. if you listen to the songs he used to sing without a drive since the beginning, like don't cry, you will notice that nothing has changed.
I was at this show. I was about 10 feet in front of Slash, too. His live amp was clear as day so I could hear every note he played just a bit higher in the mix. During the second to last solo in Paradise City, I crowd surfed up to the front and was standing not 3 feet in front of Slash in the security pit. You can see me in the bottom right at 29:06 when I got picked up. As soon as I got on my feet over the rail the security made sure I was on my way out the side. I walked to the back of the crowd from there and just stood in awe during the final solo and just had no other care in the world. One of the best nights of my life!
None of us who grew up with this band are like we used to be. Can you imagine the beating your vocals would take over time? Even gospel singers can't blow hard forever. People with powerful vocals are blessed but like everything else on us, it starts to wear. Axl still sounds amazing and a lot of fans are getting the opportunity they probably thought would never come.
I just love how Axel activates his true voice capabilities when he wants to. It is like using a super finish combo from street fighter. Much love and respect ❤
Just when you think you know what’s coming you get blown away by the amount of natural born talent of these incredible men....and of course the guitar, pure legend
Exactly man, don't listen to him if he sounds bad to you. He ain't gonna be young and wild forever. Yet, he nailed Knocking on heaven's door. This all is a pleasure to us, just feel and enjoy every single thing ;)
Slash is such a joy to watch and listen to. Axl struggles, but that's Ok, he gave more than most during his days. What he did with his voice in the late Eighties and early Nineties is unmatched - no wonder he sounds like this now. He still sounds ok during other shows during this last tour. Yeah, GnFnR!
I've had two made like the crutch one and the straight one. Story had it the crutch one is imitation chopper front fork. The bend easy and he must have alot of them. Aluminum powder coat weld breaks easy. Dune buggy base. Genius
Vocês são os melhores, uma inspiração pra mim, meu sonho é ir no show quando voltarem ao Brasil, vocês mantem o Rock n' Roll vivo, e fazem a todos nós felizes, muito obrigado Guns n' Roses!!!!!
This really puts my life in perspective when I see my favorite bands getting old. It breaks my heart listening to them now compared to when they were prime in the late 80s early 90s.
You wanna hear a different version of Sweet Child O'Mine? With Flutes and Piano??? Take a look here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ms9jtP1VpcI.html
Why does it break your heart? Because they're older or because they still sound amazing? I guess you would prefer that they were no longer with us... What a strange statement. I tell you what breaks my heart is Scott Wieland, Chris Cornell, Layne Staley, and Kurt Cobain...
when i first listened to this vid i heard it too like sad not crazy as when they were young but at the end of the day this is my favourite group and even in the worst moment ever i wont let em' down
@@DPSARAUJO Metallica didn’t write Paradise City or Jungle tho. James could never sing the way Axl did back in his 30s. He sings more in a natural voice where as Axl did something way different so think about that buttercup
Unlike many singers today who lip-sync, he retains his touch singing with his original voice, I sincerely love it, he is not bad at all at 60 years old
@@rossbennett76 Watch some old 1988 concert footage. Axl sounded blown out and ragged a lot then too. Guy has spent twenty years learning how to control his own voice.
@@WiseguyThreeOne time gets the better of us all to be honest.. I’m a die hard fan from buying appetite on cassette on its initial release. Still listen to the albums at age of 45.. back in 88-93/94 his voice was brilliant.. and the nearest we got to a new GNR album that sounded like GNR was velvet revolver ‘contraband’ and when I listen to “dirty little thing” that takes me right back to “Garden of Eden” and I can picture Axl rocking it to “dirty little thing” if they had got their shit together back then.. but still hoping for a new GNR album to be released.
To me Guns N Roses is the greatest band from the 80’s, I will forever and ever be a fan. Every single member in the band gives me so much joy to listen to. Every word, every sound that comes out of their instruments is just a blessing to listen to. Axel you will always be the greatest performer and I’m thankful to hear you once again. I will forever have a crush on you. 🥰😎😋
I was there, it was a freezing night!! Additional trivia: Def Leppard played the night before GNR did at the festival (they closed the show/festival), and in DL's backstage video of the concert, Joe Elliot said it was officially the coldest gig they ever did. The background story is that the festival was held for the first time, the venue has been holding Bonarrooo festivals during summertimes, but this was the first rock festival and it was held in the fall season for the first time, too, those days in October was exactly when the season changes from summer to fall/winter in Manchester TN, so from second night and on were freezing temperature. Those who were there will say it was an amazing festival (including myself). Unfortunately, Also, the turnout overall was not that great, it seems, so they couldn't hold the 2020 Exit 111 festival...which kinda worked out for the organization by not losing more money than they already have lost, not to mention the covid, but Bonnaroo returning in 2021, I hope Exit 111 returns soon, too. #exit111 #makeexit111happenagain
P.S - Axl actually doesn't sound that bad except for Live & Let Die, that's pretty awful. IMO he was the best in the world, it's gone now but if they stick to the right songs he an still get away with it.
not everyone giving a privilege to get old❤️💪🏼those days were the rock band reigning in the music industry and GUN N ROSES is one of the best band in that time🌹they living legend🌺👍respect those whose still trying to rocking like the old days💋
He can still use it... he did a great job on the 2016 ACDC tour.... he just needs to get back into shape bit he got lazy and he said in an interview he liked to eat a lot of fried chicken.. I'm glad they are making some new stuff hopefully an album in 2021
@@carolynhill3545 At one point he called down from the stage and called us a bunch of "frostbitten mother****ers." It was record-setting cold for a Tennessee October. Def Leppard played the night prior, and announced later it was officially the coldest show of their career as well.
