My friends and I use to pray for snow storms so we could go drifting all night and not waste tires! Just take off the bumpers and full send ! I use to run a Rx7 turbo 2 fc and rx8 with snow tires it was a blast! I own a Ae86 present and wish this car could see a little snow ! But she’s an island girl stuck in Hawai’i! So Koo to still see Dk out enjoying the passion of driving !
Oyu is just having fun and commenting his runs while Tsuchiya and Tsugio concentrate fully on driving. I prefer my winter tyres narrow and studded. I have found narrower tyre goes through layers of loose snow and slush better thant wider one that floats on top.
yeah for offroad racing, wide tyres increases the likelyhood that the tyre will have a partial ground contact due to uneven road surface, which leads to inconsistent traction for the driver. narrow tyres focuses car weight on a smaller surface area, increasing the likelyhood that dirt/snow/mud under the wheels can be compacted and provide an even surface to grip on.
I always loved being in the snow in my old impreza wagon. My little 15 inch donut tires cut strait into the pavement while all the dumb lifted trucks with giant tires were on the side of the road. Pulled a few out to their disbelief too
Please take care about onboard/driving material quality - I know how Mr. Tsuchiya looks, what I'd love to see is his driving skills in snowy conditions, but I couldn't really see much
Yeah I guess there were issues with the onboard cameras, just wish we got hear a bit of behind the scenes of it as well. A classic camera behind the driver so we can see the road or roof mount would be a good idea. These moments do not happen often, so my advice to CARPRIME or those other Japanese channels, it is better to get a lot of cameras and have to throw away a lot of junk footage than to have only 1 source of good footage. Because at the end of the day, both the drivers and the car's life are finite things, and you want to immortalize it at the best of your ability.
I like to say, " Going as fast as I can, Sideways"!! I've been a fan of this show before it was known in these parts. Thank you for such an amazing show for all of these years!
Just found this channel and remind me of old good days of hot version lol love these guys talking about cars and driving. Thank you for making contents!
wow, this episode of car prime has made me go back to the initial d anime where you see that Takumi can drive in the snow without problems, and it has left me with the doubt about a specific chapter where Tsuchiya calls bunta and expresses that Bunta scared Mr. Tsuchiya with his drift and I wonder if there is someone that Mr. thinks it was like that to this day as if that person actually existed
@@BboyVReck I dont know if your hard headed or a rwd fan boy, but rwd cars are not suited for winter conditions theres a reason why they use awd for rally racing and poor conditions they handle and perform better these are facts winter tires are just a bandaid on a open wound..
@@eddya9147 no I don't think you know about tire compound and tire tread design makes big difference in traction. You should go check out real testing of winter tires vs all seasonal tires in AWD cars.
